LF Yoenis Cespedes (right quad) did not play Sunday, when the Mets fell to the Phillies, 5-1. Manager Terry Collins said Cespedes, who was on the disabled list from Aug. 4 through Aug. 19 with a right quad injury, felt the muscle tighten as he scored from second on a double by OF Alejandro De Aza in the seventh inning of Saturday night's 12-1 win over the Phillies. Collins said sitting Cespedes was a precautionary move and that he should be available for Monday's series opener against the Miami Marlins. Cespedes is batting .295 with 26 homers and 67 RBIs in 102 games this season, including .355 with four homers and eight RBIs in eight games since he returned from the disabled list.
