Wed Nov 9 202215:11Jerami Grant Downgraded To Questionable
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (ankle) has been downgraded to questionable for Wednesday's visit to Charlotte. He was initially considered probable for the contest with a left ankle sprain. If Grant can't go, we should see a lot more Trendon Watford, who has just made his season debut. The 22-year-old played his first two games of the season last week after recovering from a hip flexor problem. Watford went for 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 14.5 minutes in the two contests. He was able to get 10 starts last season and did a good job by getting 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounds with 3.4 assists.

Thu Oct 20 202211:21Jerami Grant Puts Up Team-High 23 Points In Win
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant was the surprise hero for the team in their opening win against the Sacramento Kings. He was the only member of the starting five that recorded a positive plus/minus. His finishing line was 23 points, eight rebounds, one assist and two steals while hitting all three of his three-point attempts. The pressure of being the go-to guy in Detroit is gone, and teammates like Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons are going to get him in a position to score more often than not. Fantasy managers can continue to rely on Grant for mid- to high-level output.

Fri Sep 30 202221:45Jerami Grant Has Impressed Blazers
Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant has been impressing the organization early in training camp. Fellow teammate Damian Lillard had plenty of praise for Grant. He mentioned that Grant has impressive athleticism and versatility. The Blazers are excited to have Grant on their roster. He should see a significant usage in Portland, but probably not quite as high as it was last season. Regardless, Grant should be a productive player from a fantasy standpoint in Portland.

Wed Jun 22 202218:19Jerami Grant Traded To Portland
The Pistons have traded forward Jerami Grant to the Trail Blazers for a 2025 first-round pick. The teams will also swap the No. 36 and 46 overall selections in the 2022 NBA Draft. The 28-year-old, who was acquired from Detroit in a sign-and-trade deal with Denver back in 2020, averaged 20.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.1 blocks over the last two seasons in the Motor City. He's battled health issues throughout his career, so that's something for fantasy managers to consider, and his pairing with Damian Lillard may also cause his scoring output to decline. Yet, he's a proven producer when available, so managers in all formats should look in his direction moving toward the 2022-23 campaign.

Mon May 30 202220:51Jerami Grant May Be On The Block
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant may be on the move. Detroit is expected to heavily pursue Deandre Ayton, who will be a restricted free agent this summer. Because the Suns can match any potential offer, the Pistons may dangle Grant to orchestrate a sign-and-trade deal. The 28-year-old finished last season by averaging 19.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks. However, he has missed more than enough time due to injuries throughout his two seasons in the Motor City. Grant will be entering the final year of his current contract and is eligible for a lucrative extension. Still, until he can remain healthy for an entire season, his fantasy ceiling will be lower, regardless of where he suits up come October.

Tue Mar 29 202210:04Jerami Grant Will Miss Remainder Of 2021-22 Season
Detroit Pistons small/power forward Jerami Grant (calf) has been ruled out for the final weeks of the 2021-22 year due to a left calf strain. Grant finishes the season having averaged 19.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per contest, with injuries limiting him to just 47 games played. His absence on the wing will allow Saddiq Bey and Marvin Bagley III to garner significant starters workloads over the final seven contests. Grant has emerged as a 20.9 PPG scorer over his past 101 games with Detroit, as he stands to draw sizable fantasy interest heading into next year, even as the Pistons begin to revamp their roster with young scorers.

Sun Mar 20 202222:41Jerami Grant Won't Play Monday
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. This will be the second game in a row that Grant has missed due to right knee inflammation. Marvin Bagley III started at power forward on Thursday, but Saddiq Bey benefited the most with a 51-point performance. Fantasy managers should lean on Bey with Grant sidelined on Monday. Both Bagley and Kelly Olynyk (ankle) should be streaming options with extended playing time.

Fri Mar 18 202221:58Jerami Grant Available For Saturday
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant (knee) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Saturday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Grant was unable to play on Thursday, in which Saddiq Bey benefitted in a major way. During that contest, Bey dropped a 51-point performance versus the Orlando Magic. He is still a valuable fantasy option, but is expected to have less of a role with Grant back in the rotation. Marvin Bagley III should lose playing time as well on Saturday.

Wed Mar 16 202221:50Jerami Grant Ruled Out For Thursday
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Orlando Magic. It's a bit surprising to see the Pistons rule out Grant a full day in advance. However, the Pistons aren't exactly playing for much, so they have little incentive to rush their players back to the court. Marvin Bagley III and Kelly Olynyk should soak up a majority of the extra minutes on Thursday. Bagley is the better streaming option between the two players.

Mon Jan 17 202218:37Jerami Grant Likely To Miss Road Trip
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant (thumb) is unlikely to return to the team during their four-game road trip. Grant was assigned to the Pistons G-League affiliate on Monday. He will continue to rehab there after undergoing right thumb surgery earlier in the season. Once Grant returns, Hamidou Diallo is expected to shift back to the second unit. Also, Saddiq Bey will be looking at a reduced role, while Trey Lyles could fall out of the rotation completely. Both Diallo and Bey should still hold fantasy value once Grant returns, but they should see a decrease in usage.

Sun Dec 12 202118:12Jerami Grant Ruled Out For Six Weeks
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant (thumb) will start a six-week absence with Sunday's home game against Brooklyn. He got hurt in Friday's 109-93 loss to New Orleans and Grant has been diagnosed with a UCL sprain of his right thumb. Detroit's leading scorer had just hit some nice form with multiple 30-point efforts in recent games. Saddiq Bey should get more scoring opportunities now and Cade Cunninghamis expected the lead the team. Hamidou Diallo entered the starting five on Sunday.

Sat Dec 11 202120:43Jerami Grant Ruled Out On Sunday
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant (thumb) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. The organization has ruled out Grant in advance after he awkwardly bent his thumb during Friday's game. Hopefully, Grant won't have to miss more than this game due to the issue. In the meantime, Josh Jackson and Trey Lyles will be asked to play additional minutes with Grant sidelined. Jackson is the better option between the two and should have some streaming appeal on Sunday.

Thu Dec 9 202110:06Jerami Grant Nets Game-High 28 Points Wednesday Night
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant led all scorers with 28 points as the team took a 119-116 overtime loss from Washington Wednesday night. He shot 6-for-16 from the field and 14-for-15 at the line, sinking both attempts from three-point range. Grant recorded five rebounds and handed out three assists with three turnovers while coming up with two steals and one block on the defensive end. The 27-year-old started to improve his form during the latter half of last month, and he's found a great rhythm in December, averaging 27.3 points per game. Meeting a Pelicans team that boasts the league's least efficient defense puts Grant in a great spot to stay hot on Friday.

Fri Dec 3 202109:13Jerami Grant Records Game-High 34 Points Against Suns
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant couldn't stop the Suns from rolling to another victory on Thursday, but he had a great game against the hottest team in the league, leading all scorers with 34 points on 10-for-19 shooting from the field. He finished 2-for-3 from downtown and 12-for-14 at the charity stripe, adding six rebounds and three assists with two steals, one block and one turnover in 38 minutes. Grant is finally remaining us how good he can be. He's now gone for 30-plus points twice in his past three games. The 27-year-old should stay hot at the start of next week as well, with Detroit hosting the Thunder, who have just given up a whopping 152 points to Memphis.

Mon Nov 29 202108:45Jerami Grant Has A 32-Point Night Against The Lakers
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant led the team with 32 points on 11-for-20 shooting in Sunday's 110-106 loss to the Lakers, hitting 4-for-6 from deep and 6-for-6 at the foul line. He added six rebounds and four assists to his tally with one block and four turnovers. It's been an up-and-down season scoring-wise for Grant, but he now boasts two 30-point efforts in his past five games, which is a very encouraging sign. The 27-year-old has a chance to maintain his momentum on Tuesday against his hometown Blazers, who sit near the bottom of the league with their 110.0 defensive efficiency.

Fri Nov 26 202120:49Jerami Grant Picks Up His First Double-Double Of The Year
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant had a chance to celebrate his first double-double of the season on Friday, finishing a 107-96 loss to the Clippers with a team-high 20 points and 10 rebounds. He also posted three assists with one turnover in 33 minutes, shooting 5-for-16 from the field and 9-for-9 at the line. If it wasn't for free throws, this would've been another disappointing offensive performance by Grant, whose game seems to have come completely unstuck since he had a breakout year in 2020-21. The 27-year-old pops up with a nice scoring performance here and there, but he's shooting barely over 40 percent from the field for the season and that's been a major contributor to his downfall.

Wed Nov 24 202108:09Jerami Grant Leads Detroit With 21 Points
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant scored a team-high 21 points on 6-for-17 shooting in Tuesday's loss to Miami, going a poor 1-for-5 from deep. He made eight of nine shots at the line and had seven rebounds and three assists with three steals and zero turnovers in 35 minutes. Grant has improved offensively in recent outings and is now averaging 28.5 points for his last two games. He's yet to have three consecutive games with 20-plus points this season, so that should be his aim on Wednesday against Milwaukee. It's easier said than done, of course, with Giannis Antetokounmpo's crew capable of shutting anyone down. The rest of the week doesn't look rosy for Grant either, with the Pistons traveling to Los Angeles for a pair of games.

Mon Nov 22 202108:02Jerami Grant Explodes For 36 Points
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant had a superb outing against the Lakers on Sunday, finishing a 121-116 loss with a game-high 36 points on 12-for-25 shooting from the field. He hit 5-for-9 from downtown and 7-for-10 at the charity stripe, grabbing four rebounds and recording three assists with one steal and one turnover in 37 minutes. Grant also had a 35-point effort against Houston earlier in the month, but he's taken a big step backward scoring-wise compared to last season. With 15 games played, this was only the second time Grant managed 20-plus points this term. Miami's tough defense will welcome Grant next, so it will be pretty difficult for him to start building momentum.

Thu Nov 11 202108:57Jerami Grant Scores Season-High 35 Points In Wednesday's Win
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant answered to a five-point dud with a season-high 35 points in Wednesday's 112-104 win over the Rockets, shooting 12-for-23 from the field and 4-for-8 from outside. He hit seven of his nine free throws and managed to collect five rebounds with three assists, two blocks and one turnover in 35 minutes. Grant had a huge year in 2020-21, but he hasn't yet hit the same heights this term, although there have been signs of improvement lately. The 27-year-old had a pair of 20-point outings last week before settling for just five points on Friday against Brooklyn. He's averaging 18.7 points per game for the season ahead of a back-to-back set against Cleveland and Toronto. These are two slow-paced teams, so it will be difficult for Grant to repeat his Wednesday's performance.

Thu Nov 4 202122:40Jerami Grant Scores Game-High 27 Points In Loss
Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant dropped a game-high 27 points in a 109-98 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday. The 27-year-old also pitched in six rebounds, four assists, one block, one steal, and four turnovers in 38 minutes. Grant shot an efficient 11-for-22 from the field, including 2-for-6 from three-point range and 3-for-3 from the free throw line. Grant built off of his great shooting on Tuesday versus the Milwaukee Bucks and is starting to benefit off of defenses shifting coverage towards rookie guard Cade Cunningham. The forward has a strong role on a rebuilding Pistons team that should see him get plenty of opportunities to contribute across all categories.
