Mon Feb 2 201514:56Booker averaging 19 minutes on court over 45 games this season
Booker is averaging 19 minutes on the court over 45 games this season.
Booker is solidly within coach Quin Snyder's rotation but plays second fiddle to Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors. As a result, the 27-year-old should be valued only in deeper leagues moving forward.

Booker (illness) played for the Jazz on Friday, but struggled, scoring only three points (1-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt) and grabbed two rebounds in 14 minutes.
It's certainly possible that Booker was hampered still by the flu, which kept him out of Tuesday's game. Booker has been inconsistent all year, though. He's had five games with 10 or more points since the start of December, but has also had six games with fewer than five points in that same span.

Booker (illness) practiced Thursday and is expected to return Friday, Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Booker missed Tuesday's loss to Golden State due to a stomach flu, but he's surmounted the ailment and should be good to go Friday against the Lakers.

Booker (illness) will not play Tuesday against Golden State.
Booker is dealing with a stomach flu, the same ailment that caused him to miss the morning shootaround. He'll look to return to the court Friday against the Lakers.

Booker missed shootaround due to illness and is listed as doubtful to play Tuesday against Golden State.
The Jazz say Booker has a stomach flu, and at this point it appears unlikely he plays Tuesday. Booker has played well of late, averaging 9.5 points and 7.7 rebounds in the month of January.

Booker posted 14 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocks in 20 minutes of action Saturday against the Sixers.
Booker had missed one game due to personal reasons, but was able to come back for Saturday's game. Still, he's averaging just 7.3 points and 4.4 rebounds for the season, and isn't worth owning in most leagues.

Booker (undisclosed) will be available to play against the Sixers on Saturday, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Booker missed Monday's game against the Grizzlies after undergoing a minor outpatient procedure Sunday. However, he returned in full to practice Friday and will likely be able to contribute around the 19.8 minutes that he's averaged per game this season when Utah faces Philadelphia on Saturday.

Booker underwent a minor outpatient procedure Sunday and will not play Monday against the Grizzlies.
The Jazz did not elaborate with any details regarding the procedure, but it's considered very minor, and Booker isn't slated to miss any games beyond Monday.
Mon Dec 15 201402:52Booker left this game briefly for apparent ankle injury
Booker left this game briefly for an apparent ankle injury. However he returned to put up eight points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-6 FT), nine rebounds, and one steal in 25 minutes.
Booker saw an extended role with Derrick Favors sitting out of this game and those thinking of using the forward will want to monitor his status leading up to Tuesday's game against the Pelicans. If Booker's ankle is good to go and Favors is sitting out again he might be a good play for those who need him.

Booker played in only 14 minutes Friday in a loss to the Heat, despite Derrick Favors missing the majority of the game with a sprained ankle.
Booker scored four points (2-5 FG, 0-0 FT) in that time, but did grab four rebounds. Rudy Gobert saw increased playing time instead, which is surprising, considering Booker had started in place of Favors earlier this season when Favors dealt with a separate injury.

Booker will get the nod for Derrick Favors (illness) on Monday versus the Jazz.
Favors left morning shootaround as a result of flu-like symptoms, but his status for Monday's game remained up in the air. However, the illness is severe enough to hold him out, allowing Booker to earn his first start of the season. With per-36 output of 13.8 points (on 52 percent shooting), 7.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.2 steals this season, he could be a decent streaming option for those in need of frontcourt production.

Booker led the Jazz's bench unit with 15 points (4-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-9 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, and three steals in 24 minutes Saturday.
Booker was preferred to Enes Kanter, who was struggling, but this hasn't been the case most of the season and as such, this sort of performance should be a considered a bonus and not the norm.

Booker recorded three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, and two blocks during 21 minutes on the court against the Warriors on Friday.
Booker has solidified his role off the bench in Utah this season, although he's had trouble amounting much production. As a result, the 26-year-old is only a viable option in deeper leagues.

Booker spent 22 minutes on the court against the Pacers on Monday but only racked up two points (1-4 FG, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
Booker has received minimal minutes off the bench this season during his first year in Utah. Another first for Booker is his new-found propensity to shoot the three-pointer. Before the 2014-15 campaign started, he had only connected on one three-pointer over his first four seasons in the NBA. As it stands this year, the 26-year-old has already made six shots from beyond the arc through the first eight games of the season. While that certainly adds a new wrinkle to his value, his rebound average sits at 4.4 per game, compared to his career average of 5.1. So while he's added the three pointer to his arsenal, this new time spent around the perimeter has led to fewer rebounding opportunities as he transitions into a new role as a stretch four.

Booker came off the bench against the Rockets on Tuesday for 23 minutes and managed to record 14 points (6-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and five rebounds.
Booker had a pretty decent game off the bench Tuesday, although it's unlikely that he'll perform much better unless he's afforded more minutes per game this season. As for now, 20-25 minutes seems to be the cap for Booker with Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter ahead of him on the depth chart. On top of that, Rudy Gobert has emerged from the shadows of Utah's bench and seems poised to also average around 20-25 minutes in the frontcourt, which should stymie Booker's workload.
Thu Oct 23 201403:03Booker (ankle) able to play 13 minutes off bench during Tuesday'...
Booker (ankle) was able to play 13 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's preseason game against the Thunder.
Booker suffered a minor sprained ankle last Friday that originally left his availability in question for Tuesday's game. His 13 minutes off the bench seem to denote that his ankle issues are behind him. The Jazz will have their final preseason game against the Suns this upcoming Friday before they begin the regular season against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Booker (ankle) is a game-time call for Tuesday's preseason contest against the Jazz.
Booker sustained a sprained ankle over the weekend but said the injury is nothing serious. However, it wouldn't be a surprise if he ends up sitting out Tuesday, as the team will probably exercise caution with the regular season fast approaching.
Sat Oct 18 201410:04Booker sprained ankle but it doesn't seem to be anything serious
Booker sprained his ankle but it doesn't seem to be anything serious, the Salt Lake Tribune reports. "It's a little sore, but nothing major. I'll be back in a couple days," said Booker.
Booker injured his ankle during a skirmish with Blake Griffin in Friday's preseason game against the Clippers. The veteran's high spirits are a good sign that this injury may not be concerning for the regular season, although updates over the coming days will have to confirm that is indeed true. As for now, Booker will be monitored closely and may ultimately have to sit out of practice and upcoming preseason games to get ready for the regular season.

Booker left Friday's game with a sprained right ankle and will not return.
Monitor his status throughout the weekend to see if the team announces a timetable for his return to the court. Keep in mind that Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter and Rudy Gobert have the most fantasy upside among the Jazz's big men.

Booker has spent time in the offseason working on his three pointer to better fit in with coach Dan Snyder's style of offense that values perimeter bigs, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Considering that Booker didn't even attempt a three pointer last season, it'd be hard to imagine the Clemson product being an option around the perimeter for the Jazz in their 2014-15 campaign. Rather, he'll likely be known for his scrappy play off the bench in relief of Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors. He may ultimately play a large part in Utah's rotation this upcoming season, but we've seen in the past that he struggles to amount counting stats, regardless of how much playing time he's given.
