Adams (hand) will miss at least three weeks after having surgery on his fractured right hand, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.
In his absence, Kendrick Perkins and Mitch McGary figure to see the bulk of the available minutes at center for the Thunder. A clearer timetable for Adams will likely become available after he makes progress in the healing process.

Adams (hand) will not play in Monday's game against the Nuggets, Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman reports.
After hurting his hand during Sunday's win over the Clippers, Adams will not travel to Denver for Monday's game. Kendrick Perkins figures to get the start, with Mitch McGary and Nick Collison picking up added minutes off the bench. McGary had 19 points and 10 boards over 23 minutes in Sunday's game, but he only played 11 minutes before the fourth quarter.
Sun Feb 8 201514:37Steven Adams: Leaves With Hand Injury
Adams suffered a hand injury during Sunday's game against the Clippers and will not be returning to the court, The Oklahoman reports.
Adams should be considered day-to-day until further news is released by the Thunder. If the second-year player misses extended time off the court, Mitch McGary, Kendrick Perkins, and Nick Collison would likely absorb the 24.6 minutes that Adams is averaging this season.

Adams will start at center Monday against the Timberwolves, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.
Adams was iffy to start after migraines kept him out of Sunday's game. However, after going through warmups, he's been given the green light and will start at center as Kendrick Perkins shifts back to the bench.

Adams will start Monday against Minnesota "as of right now," per coach Scott Brooks, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.
Adams sat out Sunday's loss to the Cavaliers while battling a migraine, but he's expected to return to action Monday. If Adams is limited, Kendrick Perkins will likely see an uptick in minutes.

Adams is dealing with a migraine and will not start against the Cavaliers on Sunday, The Oklahoman reports.
Adams is still active for Sunday's game, although Kendrick Perkins will start.
Thu Jan 22 201507:06Adams grabbed 20 boards in Wednesday's win against Wizards
Adams grabbed 20 boards in Wednesday's win against the Wizards. He added six points, two assists, and two blocks in 39 minutes of action.
Adams hasn't reached double-digit figures in rebounding ever since Christmas, and he finally exploded for a strong performance Wednesday. Still, he's averaging just 4.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in January, and he's hard to own in all but the deepest of leagues.

Adams has averaged just 3.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 0.2 steals, and 0.8 blocks in 19 minutes per game over his last five games.
Adams has had decent value at times this season, but most of his good stretches happened while Kevin Durant was sidelined by injury and there were more offensive opportunities available for Adams. He should be dropped in any standard leagues where he's still owned, but keep Adams on all watch lists incase he finds his groove later in the season.

Adams scored 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-2 FT) with nine rebounds, a steal and a block in 21 minutes during Monday's loss to the Warriors.
It's the second straight game in which Adams' court time was limited despite not being in foul trouble, although he was able to stay somewhat productive in this one. Until he earns more of Thunder coach Scott Brooks' trust though, the young center will likely remain an inconsistent fantasy asset.

Adams (leg) finished Friday's game against the Wizards without any points (0-1 FG) but managed to grab five rebounds and dished out two assists in 19 minutes.
Adams suffered a leg injury during his time on the court but ultimately returned to action Friday. The injury seems relatively minor in nature and won't likely hold him back when he faces the Warriors on Monday.
Fri Jan 2 201520:57Adams left Friday's game with left knee/upper calf injury
Adams left Friday's game with a left knee/upper calf injury, but is cleared to return, The Oklahoman's Anthony Slater reports.
Adams went to the locker room after suffering the injury after playing just four minutes, but returned to the bench midway through the second quarter, and should re-enter the game.

Adams posted 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one block in 25 minutes of action Sunday against the Mavericks.
Adams is now averaging 10.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.8 blocks over the last five games, and he's starting to prove some worth in standard leagues. He's shooting a whopping 66 percent from the field, though his horrific 52 percent from the line negates that. Still, he's locked in as the starting center for the Thunder, and is a relatively cheap option for serviceable fantasy production.

Adams had one of the best performances of his career Thursday, putting up 16 points and a career-high 15 rebounds to go with one assist, two steals, and three blocks in 31 minutes.
Adams has worked his way into being a standard-league option. Over his last five games, he's averaged 10.0 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.0 steal, and 1.4 blocks in 27 minutes per game. That production is worth taking a flier on. While some of Adams' rise in value may be due to Kevin Durant's (ankle) absence, there're also plenty of reasons to think Adams has simply taken another step in his development.

Adams played a season-high 35 minutes against the Lakers on Friday and finished just shy of a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds to go along with one assist, one steal, and one block.
Fellow center Kendrick Perkins (knee) missed Friday's game and Adams absorbed the workload that the veteran left behind. Perkins' injury isn't believed to be serious, so Adams may very well go back down to the 24.6 minutes that he's averaged per game this season.

Adams scored a season-high 16 points (8-12 FG, 0-0 FT) Friday in a victory over the Timberwolves, completing the double-double by grabbing 11 rebounds.
Adams now has 27 combined rebounds in his past three games, and he had his eighth block of the month Friday. Owners in need of some defensive production in category leagues should keep an eye on Adams's production.

Adams only scored one point on Sunday (0-2 FG), but added 6 boards as well as 6 blocks.
Adams has proven to be an asset for the Thunder's frontline. He is averaging 1.3 blocks early on this season, but the fact that he was able to have the most blocks on a team with Serge Ibaka and Kendrick Perkins says a lot about the second year man. His defensive efforts are always apparent and owners in need of a boost in defensive categories should take notice.

Adams scored nine points and grabbed nine rebounds in Monday's loss to the New Jersey Nets. He also added one assist, one steal, and one turnover in 30 minutes of action.
Adams is a mobile center who is still a little raw offensively. He has a firm grasp on the starting job over Kendrick Perkins and should excel in his role as a 'high energy' player at the C position. It's not crazy to expect him to average close to a double-double per game this season, which makes him a viable option in 12-team leagues.
Tue Oct 28 201413:32Adams will open season as Thunder's starting center
Adams will open the season as the Thunder's starting center, Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman reports.
Coach Scott Brooks finally made the announcement following Tuesday's practice that Adams will take over the starting job previously held by Kendrick Perkins. It's long been speculated that Perkins would eventually move to the bench, as his effectiveness has waned in recent years. Adams proved last season that he's capable of excelling at both ends of the floor, and he especially provides more of an offensive threat than the slower Perkins. As a rookie last season, Adams averaged 3.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14.8 minutes. Those numbers figure to make a considerable leap in Year 2.

Adams could be the favorite to open the season as the Thunder's starting center, the Oklahoman's Anthony Slater reports.
He is averaging 17 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.8 steals while shooting 77 percent from the field in four preseason games, so it's pretty clear that he's a better player than Kendrick Perkins at this stage in each player's career. Adams' biggest flaw is his propensity to get in foul trouble. He picked up 11 fouls in his first two games of the preseason, but has just four in his last two, so perhaps it's getting drilled into the young center that in order to play big minutes, he needs to clean up his defense. Adams is worth a pick in most category leagues, given his upside in all the relevant big-man stats.
Fri Sep 26 201413:10Adams could make run at Thunder's starting center position
Adams could make a run at the Thunder's starting center position, the Oklahoman reports.
With the injury to Kendrick Perkins, Adams should have a huge opportunity in front of him, as he'll most likely take the bulk of the reps as the starting center during training camp. Adams is only going into the second season of his career, so Perkins still has the veteran edge over him, but with Adams showing a lot of promise last year, he could prove himself to be the Thunder's center of the future. He has a much higher ceiling than the declining Perkins, so we'll see what coach Scott Brooks does once Perkins returns.
