Wed Dec 11 201322:12Steven Adams sprains ankle, won't return
Steven Adams suffered an apparent leg injury in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies.
He limped to the locker room and it didn't look good. The injury was non-contact and it looked like Adams sprained his knee, but his ankle was twisted, as well. He has been solid off the bench with his rebounding ability and there's a good chance he will miss Friday's game against the Lakers. Kendrick Perkins and Nick Collison would get some extra run with the rookie out of the lineup. Adams finished with three points, five boards and a block in the win.

Sat Nov 30 201302:13Steven Adams plays 14 minutes
Steven Adams played just 14 minutes against the Warriors on Friday, scoring five points with seven boards and one block.
Kendrick Perkins went down with a dislocated finger, but coach Scott Brooks went with Nick Collison a little more tonight with 17 minutes while Serge Ibaka played some center. Adams might get it going eventually, but it's not going to happen right away. He's one of the best young rebounders in the NBA.

Fri Nov 15 201301:59Steven Adams plays just 14 minutes
Steven Adams was quiet in Thursday's 116-115 loss to the Warriors with three points and one turnover in 14 minutes.
He made a huge splash last week against Andre Drummond and the Pistons, but he has fizzled out. It's not easy playing the waiver-wire game with rookies, and chances are Adams will be a hot name again at some point.

Thu Nov 14 201302:53Steven Adams quiet in start for Perkins
Steven Adams started at center on Wednesday for Kendrick Perkins (personal), but had just seven points, four rebounds and a block in 21 minutes.
He should get one more start for Perkins and it's possible he could even keep the job once Perkins is back, but he'll have to play better than this to make it happen.

Wed Nov 13 201313:15Steven Adams expected to start Wed. & Thurs.
Thunder rookie Steven Adams is expected to make his first NBA start on Wednesday, with Kendrick Perkins unavailable for personal reasons.
Perkins will also miss Thursday's game, handing Adams a golden opportunity. He's coming off a very quiet game, but last Friday he posted 17 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks in a season-high 31 minutes. He's been impressive all year and his temporary starting C job makes him a short-term fantasy pickup with long-term upside.

Sun Nov 10 201322:06Steven Adams quiet in OT win vs. Wizards
Steven Adams had one point, two boards and two blocks off the Thunder bench on Sunday, playing just shy of 20 minutes.
Adams flew off waiver wires after dropping 17 & 10 with one steal and three blocks on Friday, but he nearly fouled out of that game and tonight's line is a salient reminder that he's still a 20-year-old rookie. That said, Kendrick Perkins (one point in 19 minutes) is fading away before our eyes and Adams has tremendous potential both in real life and fantasy leagues, making him one of the more appealing stashes in fantasyland.

Sat Nov 9 201301:03Steven Adams has coming-out party at Pistons
Steven Adams was outstanding off the bench in Friday's win over the Detroit Pistons with 17 points, 10 boards, three blocks and one steal on 7-of-10 shooting in 31 minutes.
He was a beast in the paint and outplayed Andre Drummond on the block. Adams has shown some superior rebounding and has quick feet on both ends, so it was only a matter of time before he busted out. The only knock is that he shot just 44.3 percent at the charity stripe on 70 attempts in his only season at Pittsburgh last year, so that'll cap his ceiling. Shooting aside, he deserves a long look as a pickup in standard leagues.

Thu Nov 7 201302:25Steven Adams has best game as a pro
Steven Adams had his best game in the regular season with six points, nine boards, two assists and one block in 20 minutes against the Mavericks on Wednesday.
Dirk Nowitzki called him a "white Kendrick Perkins" following the game, but it's probably not a knock on the rookie's talent and might have more to do with Adams elbowing Vince Carter. He was an interesting storyline in the preseason and was head and shoulders better than any other OKC big man. Adams has a big, strong frame at 7'0" and it wouldn't be a shock to see him earn a starting role for his rebounding prowess. He's not worthy of an add in standard leagues quite yet.

Thu Oct 24 201303:14Steven Adams has another nice night
Steven Adams continued his phenomenal October on Wednesday with 11 points, seven boards, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 30 minutes.
He's been one of the best rookies in the NBA in training camp and the Thunder haven't seen this kind of energy out of the center spot in a while. "The only thing that's going to be different is that the games count," teammate Kevin Durant said of Adams. He's picking up steam as a late-round pick and the Thunder might want to give him a chance to prove himself during the regular season.

Wed Oct 23 201300:52Steven Adams nearly double-doubles in loss
Steven Adams had 10 points, eight rebounds and a block in 26 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.
Kendrick Perkins is not an ideal starting center and has some health concerns, while Adams has had a decent preseason. Chances are Perkins start in the middle for OKC, but Adams is worth keeping an eye on going forward.

Thu Oct 17 201323:29Steven Adams gets 34 minutes, grabs 15 boards
Steven Adams logged 34 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday and grabbed 15 boards with 10 points, two assists and one block.
He's a rookie, so of course he fouled out in those 34 minutes. Adams looked great at going after rebounds and six of his boards were of the offensive variety. The team has major financial commitments to Kendrick Perkins, but they have to feel good about their lottery pick from the 2013 draft in the small sample size. He's still not worthy of a target in most redraft leagues.

Tue Aug 13 201310:11Steven Adams to practice in New Zealand
Steven Adams traveled to New Zealand to practice and host a training camp this upcoming weekend.
Adams brought Nets center Brook Lopez with him on the trip, and the two have reportedly formed a friendship. The Thunder took Adams 12th overall in this year's draft, but will have to compete for minutes this season. He shouldn't have much fantasy value this season.

Fri Jul 12 201316:51Thunder sign first-round pick Steven Adams
Thunder sign first-round pick Steven Adams.
Adams was selected with the No. 12 overall pick. He's a bit of a project after coming over to the University of Pittsburgh from New Zealand, but he had a chance to contribute as a rookie due to his size and athleticism.

Wed Jul 10 201317:00Scary moment for Steven Adams Wednesday
Steven Adams went to the locker room with an apparent right foot injury during Wednesday's summer league game.
Adams departed with the trainer, although beat writer Darnell Mayberry says Adams just needed his ankle taped. Adams finished with 13 points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots in 29 minutes. Adams has a chance to get into OKC's rotation during his rookie season.

Mon Jul 8 201310:44Steven Adams will get a day off Monday
Steven Adams will not play in Monday's Summer League game.
It's just a day of rest for the rookie. Adams played 21 minutes and scored just two points in his pro debut on Sunday. He'll be in the mix to get a rotation spot in his first season in the NBA.

Sun Jul 7 201317:49Steven Adams doesn't do much in debut
Steven Adams was quiet in his Summer League debut on Sunday with two points, six boards, and two blocks in 21 minutes.
He was the last piece of the James Harden trade as 12th pick in the draft and he'll have a lot of pressure on him due to the fact that the Thunder whiffed so badly with Kevin Martin heading to Minnesota. Adams is extremely raw after only one year at Pittsburgh and will need some time to hone in on his skills. Daniel Orton outplayed Adams with his 15 points, four boards and two blocks in 19 minutes. Orton was a high-upside prospect back in the 2010 draft, but injuries have derailed his career.
