Mon Apr 3 202318:22Nikola Jokic Considered Questionable For Tuesday
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (calf) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Houston Rockets. The superstar big man has missed the last three games due to right calf tightness. The Nuggets continue to be cautious with Jokic with the playoffs right around the corner. It wouldn't be shocking to see Jokic miss Tuesday's game against the tanking Rockets. Thomas Bryant and Jeff Green would likely both see increased roles if Jokic misses another game.

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (calf) received the night off on Thursday as he dealt with some calf tightness. He's now listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns and he's only played in 41% of the game that he held an uncertain status for. The reigning MVP could see some more rest nights in the final six games as the Nuggets hold a three-game lead over the Grizzlies for the first seed. Thu Mar 30 202321:44Nikola Jokic Won't Suit Up On Thursday
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (calf) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The big man will sit out the first game of the back-to-back due to a minor calf issue. The Nuggets don't want to risk anything with the playoffs starting soon. The expectation is that Jokic will be back for Friday's contest. Thomas Bryant will shift into the starting five and should have decent streaming appeal in this one.

Wed Mar 29 202322:18Nikola Jokic Could Miss Thursday's Game
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (calf) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Nuggets have a three-game lead for the top seed in the West right now. That being said, the team might be cautious with their superstar big man as the playoffs get closer. The Nuggets are entering a back-to-back set on Thursday, which gives the team more reason to rest Jokic. He's reportedly dealing with a calf issue, so the team might take the cautious approach. The absence of Jokic would mean increased playing time for Thomas Bryant.

Tue Mar 28 202309:38Nikola Jokic Logs His 29th Triple-Double Of The Year
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic posted his 29th triple-double of the season Monday, leading his side to a 116-111 victory over Philadelphia with 25 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists. The Joker shot an outstanding 8-for-11 from the field and was 9-for-11 at the foul line. He also helped out on the defensive end with two blocks. Jokic's assists numbers have dropped this month, but he was back to his best here, even without the extra initiative of facing Joel Embiid, who sat out the game with a calf problem. Over the final few games of the campaign, Jokic will hope to get back to averaging a triple-double, as his lack of dimes in March has dropped his assists numbers for the season to 9.9.

Sun Mar 26 202311:40Nikola Jokic Posts 31 Points, 11 Assists Versus Milwaukee
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic matched Giannis Antetokounmpo's output with 31 points and added 11 assists in a comfortable 129-106 victory over Milwaukee Saturday. The Joker wasn't in a triple-double mood this time, but still put in decent work on the glass by grabbing six rebounds and capped off his line with one steal, while shooting 10-for-20 from the field and 10-for-11 at the foul line. Now that he has taken down Giannis' crew, Jokic will head out for another scalp Monday, when we get to see the battle of the MVP candidates between him and Joel Embiid. In the first head-to-head meeting of the season, Jokic had a quiet night with 24 points and missed a triple-double, while Embiid went off for 47 points and 18 boards.

Thu Mar 23 202310:43Nikola Jokic Leads Nuggets To 14-Point Win
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has officially fallen out of his triple-double average, but still scored 31 points and led the charge in a blowout win over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. The two-time MVP ended the game with 12 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals to go along with those 31 points on 12-for-16 shooting overall and 2-for-3 from deep. Let's not overreact to the fact that he's not averaging a triple-double anymore because Jokic is still the best fantasy asset out of anyone else in the league right now.

Mon Mar 20 202309:38Nikola Jokic Returns To Triple-Double Form
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic ended a three-game run without a triple-double on Sunday, pushing the team to a 108-102 victory over Brooklyn with 22 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists. Jokic added two steals on the defensive end while shooting 9-for-12 from the field. Joel Embiid has seemingly taken over the lead in the MVP race, but Jokic doesn't plan to go down quietly. He has continued to rack up the stats for fun despite the team going through a rough patch lately. Jokic is shooting 64 percent from the field for the month, averaging 25.4 points with 13.2 rebounds and 9.2 assists.

Fri Mar 17 202310:01Nikola Jokic Scores 30 Points In Win Over Detroit
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic was one assist shy of another triple-double, but he still led the team to a comfortable 19-point victory over the Detroit Pistons on Thursday. The two-time MVP registered 30 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists, one steal, and one block on 14-for-18 shooting. While he may not be the sole betting favorite for MVP anymore, he's still ranked first in nine-category leagues. As long as the Nuggets don't rest a lot of their starters down the stretch, Jokic will likely win some managers their fantasy leagues.

Mon Mar 13 202309:21Nikola Jokic Can't Celebrate A Triple-Double With A Victory Again
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic posted an outstanding triple-double Sunday against Brooklyn but had to take yet another defeat with the team. Entering the weekend, the Nuggets were 25-0 this season when Jokic had posted a triple-double, but they have now suffered back-to-back losses in these games. Jokic had 35 points, 20 rebounds and 11 assists in a 122-120 loss Sunday. He added two steals and two blocks while shooting 14-for-23 from the floor. Overall, Denver has taken three consecutive losses, so the times are suddenly worrying for the team. However, it's great news for fantasy managers, as this means Jokic can't afford a drop in performance levels.

Sat Mar 11 202307:03Nikola Jokic Registers His 26th Triple-Double
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic logged his 26th triple-double of the campaign with 37 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, but this time it wasn't enough to help the team get a victory. Heading into Friday, the Nuggets were a perfect 25-0 in games where the Joker had bagged a triple-double, but they were shocked by the Spurs, losing 126-120. Jokic grabbed his points with 14-for-24 shooting from the field and he had a 4-for-6 success rate from downtown. His line also included three steals and five turnovers. Denver has now dropped back-to-back games for only the second time in 2023, which should fire up Jokic and the rest of the crew for Sunday's meeting with the Nets.

Sun Feb 12 202308:15Nikola Jokic Gets His 20th Triple-Double
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic recorded his 20th triple-double of the season Saturday with 30 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists in a 119-105 win over the Hornets. Facing Charlotte is one of the best matchups a center can have and Jokic took full advantage of it, shooting 11-for-22 from the floor and 8-for-9 at the charity stripe while producing two blocks on the defensive end. The next matchup against Miami is a difficult one for Jokic on paper, but he generally does the business against anyone in the league and should be around triple-double numbers again. The reigning MVP had a 19-12-12 line in his first meeting with Miami this season.

Fri Feb 10 202313:152023 NBA Trade Deadline Breakdown - Fantasy Basketball Impacts
The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. Kyrie, KD, and Westbrook are all heading to new teams and we have been covering those trades and their fantasy impacts here at RotoBaller. But there were plenty of other lesser-known players who were dealt in the last few days and I wanted to go through and make sure we don't overlook some of these trades as some of those deals may even have more fantasy impact than the big moves. So here are some other trades that went down and my two cents on the increase or decrease in value that we should expect from the players involved for the remainder of the 2022-2023 fantasy basketball season.

Moves That Matter

These are very much in order of how much they matter. Let's start with the Spurs sending their starting center back up North where he started his career.Jakob Poeltl to the RaptorsI am a huge Poeltl fan and was close to acquiring him on multiple teams before the deadline. It was a curious move by Toronto to be buyers instead of sellers at the deadline, but Poeltl gives them the presence at the five they have been lacking all season and allows Siakam to shift over and play PF where he belongs.Poeltl is no longer a shutdown candidate and has legit top-50 upside with his multi-category abilities. His departure also makes ... [More]

The two-time MVP registered 20 points, 12 rebounds, 16 assists, one steal, and one block while shooting 8-for-10 from the floor during a blowout win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Sun Feb 5 202308:33Nikola Jokic Registers Another Triple-Double
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic posted a third-consecutive triple-double in Saturday's 128-108 win over the Hawks, tallying 14 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. He settled for only eight shots in the game, making five of them, and was 4-for-5 at the charity stripe with one steal, two blocks and five turnovers in 34 minutes. Jokic was a bit sloppy with the ball, but a triple-double typically keeps most fantasy managers happy. He now has 18 of them for the year and is even averaging one for the season. Only injuries can slow him down and Jokic has been dealing with a hamstring problem lately, which could keep him out of Sunday's matchup versus Minnesota. Zeke Nnaji has been the starter lately when Jokic has had a rest day.

Fri Feb 3 202317:45Nikola Jokic Questionable Again On Saturday
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (hamstring) is questionable for Saturday's meeting with the Atlanta Hawks. The multi-time MVP continues to battle left hamstring tightness, an ailment that's kept him off the court sporadically over the last few weeks. With Denver playing back-to-back meetings over the weekend, it wouldn't be a surprise if Jokic misses at least one of them. If that's the case, DeAndre Jordan and Zeke Nnaji will receive more work. However, Nnaji may be the biggest beneficiary on the fantasy end.

Sat Jan 28 202314:43Nikola Jokic Officially In On Saturday
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (hamstring) will return to action Saturday against Philadelphia. He's trying to manage a left hamstring problem and has sat out three of the last four games. The reigning MVP will be looking to record a fifth consecutive triple-double on Saturday. He's been killing teams all season long and even Joel Embiid (foot) is set to have a difficult time against Jokic if he can shake off left foot soreness and play.
