Thu Sep 23 202110:53Freddie Freeman Make An Impact On Wednesday
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman is red-hot at the plate right now, which is good with the playoffs right around the corner. On Wednesday, Freeman went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, and two RBI in the 9-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Braves offense had no issues here and made easy work of the D-Backs pitching staff. After that game, Freeman is slashing .304/.393/.519 with 31 homers, 82 RBI this season. He certainly deserves to be in the discussion for MVP after the year he has put together.

Tue Sep 21 202111:03Freddie Freeman Has Three-Hit Performance
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman is one of the main reasons why this team is in first place in the division. The former MVP has put on a show at the plate and has been an important piece to this lineup. On Monday, Freeman went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in the 11-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. It's unlikely that Freeman wins another MVP this season. However, Freeman is hitting .300/.390/.510 with 30 home runs and 80 RBI, so a solid season at the plate.

Sat Sep 11 202123:00Freddie Freeman Knocks In Two Runs
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman is looking like a possible MVP candidate with the way he has been hitting in the second half. On Saturday, he went 2-for-5 with two singles and two RBI in the 6-4 loss to the Miami Marlins. Sadly, the Braves blew this game late and there wasn't enough time for Freeman to rally them back. Despite that, Freeman and Austin Riley remain a force in the middle of the lineup for Atlanta.

Thu Aug 26 202114:37Freddie Freeman Slashing .329/.389/.537 In August
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman got off to a slow start to the 2021 season. Through the first two months of the year, he slashed just .235/.364/.464. However, since the start of June, he has been one of the best hitters in the majors. He posted an OPS of .868 in June, then went on to generate an obscene OPS of 1.063 in July. He's continued to stay hot in August, slashing .329/.389/.537 with four home runs, 11 RBI and 17 runs over 21 games. Sun Aug 8 202110:26Freddie Freeman Absent From Sunday’s Lineup
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman (illness) is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Washington Nationals. He exited Saturday's game against the Nationals due to an upper respiratory infection. The 31-year-old will get a breather Sunday and is considered day-to-day. His next chance to return will be Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds. Austin Riley will shift from third to first while Ehire Adrianza replaces Freeman in the lineup and handle the hot corner on Sunday. Adrianza isn't a recommended streamer against left-hander Patrick Corbin as the 31-year-old is hitting .244 over 52 plate appearances against southpaws this season.

Sat Aug 7 202120:17Freddie Freeman Exits Early On Saturday
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman (illness) left Saturday's matchup against the Nationals. Freeman is currently dealing with an upper respiratory infection, and he didn't last long before being replaced by Ehire Adrianza. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day, although it wouldn't be surprising if he weren't in the lineup on Sunday afternoon. Nonetheless, the team will get the day off on Monday, so if Freeman can't play during the series finale against Washington, hopefully, he will be ready to go on Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds.

Tue Aug 3 202108:02Freddie Freeman Slashing .289/.393/.501 After Strong July
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman was lagging in the batting average department in the early going this year. He was hitting just .235 by the end of May and he had a .261/.368/.474 slash line when the calendar turned to July. However, he went on to have his best all-around month at the plate in July. Over 26 games last month, Freeman slashed .375/.470/.594 with six home runs, 15 RBI and 23 runs. He struck out just 13 times while walking 16 times. The 2020 National League MVP has certainly rewarded patient fantasy managers lately and he should continue to mash through the end of the year.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Patrick Sandoval had his no-hit bid broken up with one out in the ninth inning on a soft double by rookie Brent Rooker and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Minnesota Twins 2-1 on Saturday night. Sandoval, a 24-year-old lefty who began the game with a 3-13 career record, struck out a career-high 13. There have already been seven no-hitters in the majors this season. The big league record of eight was set in 1884, the first year overhand pitching was permitted. The Twins hadn’t come close to a hit until Rooker, who fanned his first three times up, flared an opposite-field fly that fell just inside the line in right. Sandoval (3-4) smiled after the ball fell, retired the next batter and then was pulled after 108 pitches. He walked one and hit two. Closer Raisel Iglesias allowed an RBI double to Josh Donaldson before getting his 21st save in 25 chances. José Berríos (7-5) allowed two unearned runs in seven innings in perhaps his final start for Minnesota. ASTROS 4, RANGERS... [More]
