Barnes scored 19 points (6-12 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 30 minutes of action despite being a game-time decision Wednesday with an illness.
Barnes was a part of a Clippers starting unit that had all guys score in double figures in a huge win over the Lakers. This was Barnes' best scoring night since Dec. 13, so owners shouldn't jump on his bandwagon all of a sudden. Barnes has only scored double-digit points in just three of his past nine games, and really doesn't do much else to fill up the stat sheet.

Barnes (illness) is a game time decision for Wednesday's matchup against the Lakers, Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.
Barnes is apparently feeling a bit under the weather, and is at risk of missing the evening tilt. If he's unable to go, look for Jamal Crawford and Chris Douglas-Roberts to see extra run.

Barnes had six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt) and two rebounds in 21 minutes Saturday against the Raptors.
Despite being the usual starter at small forward for the Clippers, he has not been producing viable fantasy numbers lately. He has not scored in double figures in five straight games and six of his last seven games. His 9.4 points-per-game average over his last 10 games is greatly helped out by his 26 point performance against Milwaukee on Dec. 13.

Barnes had his most productive night of the season Saturday, scoring 26 points (10-18 FG, 6-8 3Pt) with one rebound, two steals, and one block in 32 minutes.
Barnes, who started off the season dreadfully and at one stage lost his starting job, has really picked up the pace of late, averaging 13.6 points, 2.1 three-pointers, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, .9 steals, and 0.6 blocks on 52 percent shooting from the field and 89 percent from the line in his last seven games. Production like that warrant consideration, even in 10 team leagues, but be wary, it may not last.
Fri Nov 28 201418:42Matt Barnes: (Calf) Will Start Friday
Barnes (calf) will play and start in Friday's game against the Rockets.
Barnes has missed the last two games but will jump right back into the starting lineup Friday. He's averaging 25.3 minutes per game this season and will likely play the same amount of minutes against the Rockets.
Wed Nov 26 201412:54Barnes (calf) ruled out for Wednesday's game
Barnes (calf) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game, the Orange County Register's Dan Woike reports.
Reggie Bullock practiced with the starters Wednesday, so he looks to see significant run in Detroit. Consider Barnes questionable for Friday's game in Houston.
Mon Nov 24 201417:51Barnes (calf) will not play Monday against Hornets
Barnes (calf) will not play Monday against the Hornets, Dan Woike of the OC Register reports.
Barnes is dealing with a sore left calf, and the report suggests he could move a few games beyond Monday. The Clippers play Wednesday in Detroit and Friday in Houston, so check back for updates on Barnes' status in advance of those contests. Reggie Bullock will move into the starting lineup at small forward Monday.

Barnes scored a season-high 12 points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT) in 27 minutes in his first game back in the starting lineup after coming off the bench in the last two.
Barnes has so far failed to live up the production he gave fantasy owners last season, but this performance was a step in the right direction. For now, he is just someone to monitor, but a hot streak can also be just around the corner.
Sat Nov 15 201421:19Barnes will start at small forward Saturday against Phoenix
Barnes will start at small forward Saturday against Phoenix, the Orange County Register's Dan Woike reports.
Barnes had been pushed to the bench in favor of Jamal Crawford recently, but he'll be back in the starting five Saturday. He's been underwhelming in both roles this season, averaging 6.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.4 assists.

Barnes moved to the bench for Saturday's game with Jamal Crawford taking his starting spot at small forward and struggled again, scoring just four points (2-2 FG) with three rebounds, one steal, and one block in 26 minutes.
Even though Barnes moved to the bench, he still played 26 minutes, which is what he is averaging over the course of the season. The problem with that is that Barnes has been completely ineffective in those minutes so far and that trend continues Saturday. In a 10 or 12 team league, there are likely stronger option on your waiver-wire.

Barnes will be moved to the bench for Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers, the Orange County Register reports.
Barnes is having a lackluster start to the season and coach Doc Rivers will look to Jamal Crawford to come in and start at small forward. Despite moving to the bench, Barnes still has an opportunity to play around the 26.2 minutes that he's averaged over the first five games of the season.
Wed Nov 5 201412:57Matt Barnes: Continues To Start Despite Shooting Woes
Barnes continues to play in the starter's role for the Clippers, providing 7.5 points (39.3% FG, 29.4% 3Pt FG, 60% FT), 1.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.8 blocks in 27.5 minutes per game.
Barnes is getting the time on the court to make a statistical impact for fantasy owners, and the Clippers, but has been underwhelming so far. His current offensive output, along with the Clippers defensive struggles could eventually send Barnes to the bench in favor of a more productive player. For now though, it's Barnes getting the minutes, and his value lies in only the deepest of leagues.
Wed Oct 22 201421:15Barnes will start at small forward for Clippers in next Thursday...
Barnes will start at small forward for the Clippers in next Thursday's season opener, Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.
Barnes emerged as the Clippers' primary option at small forward during the 2013-14 season, setting him up to take the reigns once again this year. He's coming off a year in which he saw a career-high 28 minutes per game, which allowed him to post averages of 9.9 points and 4.6 rebounds. The announcement likely means that Chris Douglas-Roberts (ankle) will be delegated to a reserve role, at least until he returns to full strength.
Thu Jun 26 201418:17Clippers looking to move Barnes and 28th pick
The Clippers are considering packaging forward Matt Barnes and the 28th overall pick for either Iman Shumpert, Tony Allen, or Gerald Green.
It is clear the Clippers are trying to upgrade on the wings with this trade, and moving Barnes may be a step in the right direction. The Clippers tried to trade for Shumpert at the deadline this past season, and both Tony Allen and Gerald Green both played for Doc Rivers during his time in Boston.

Sun May 11 201418:40Matt Barnes, Clippers SFs quiet in Game 4
Matt Barnes went scoreless during Sunday's Game 4 win over the visiting Thunder, shooting 0-of-6 from the field with two rebounds and three assists in 21 minutes.
Danny Granger was also scoreless in 14 minutes off the bench and neither Jared Dudley (DNP-CD) nor Hedo Turkoglu (back) stepped foot on the court, but L.A. was able to overcome their utter lack of production from the SF position thanks to clutch performances from Chris Paul, Jamal Crawford and Darren Collison.

Tue May 6 201417:05Matt Barnes (toe) showing no signs of injury
Matt Barnes scored 10 points in 28 minutes of action during the Clippers' Game 1 romp in Oklahoma City on Monday.
He jammed his big toe during the first round of the playoffs but it doesn't seem to have impacted his play, and his 28.9 minutes per game in the postseason ranks fourth-highest on the Clippers, ahead of J.J. Redick, Jamal Crawford and Darren Collison.

Fri Apr 25 201402:05Matt Barnes hurts toe in win over Warriors
Matt Barnes suffered a jammed left big toe on Thursday and was able to return, finishing with no points, three boards, two assists and four steals.
After sustaining the injury, he was on the bench in serious pain while the training staff was adjusting his toe. Barnes isn't having a great series against one of his teams, averaging 5.0 points, 2.7 boards and 2.0 assists in three games. He will likely miss some practice time and should be considered questionable for Game 4.
