Wayne Ellington (quad) sat out Friday night for the second straight game.

G Wayne Ellington signed a two-year, $4 million deal with the Heat, according to the Sun-Sentinel.Ellington, 28, was the No. 28 overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft and started 41 of 76 games he appeared in for the Brooklyn Nets last season, averaging 7.7 points. He declined a player option to return to the Nets, and this will mark the fourth different team Ellington has signed with in as many years.

Ellington agreed to a deal with the Nets on Thursday.

The contract is reportedly a one-year deal with $1.5 million, as Ellington will provide some much-needed outside shooting off the bench for Brooklyn, especially with the departure of Alan Anderson to the Wizards this offseason. Injuries allowed for Ellington to serve a fairly large role on the Lakers last season and he finished with season averages of 10.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists, all of which were career highs for the 27-year-old.

Ellington (shoulder) said Thursday that he's fully recovered from the Grade 1 shoulder separation that ended his season in early-April, Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders reports.

Ellington was present at the Lakers' facility for a pre-draft workout Thursday, and he told reporters he's fully back and should not be hindered this offseason. The North Carolina product, who started 36 games in 2014-15, will be a free agent this offseason, and the Lakers have not made it clear whether they plan to bring him back on a new deal.

Ellington (shoulder) said he'll be fully healed in a few weeks, Mark Medina of the LA Daily News reports.

Ellington was ruled out for the season back in April after suffering a Grade 1 shoulder separation. He's been rehabbing with the team and said he believes he'll be able to begin shooting within the next few weeks. Barring a major setback, Ellington should be ready to go well in advance of the start of the 2015-16 season.
