"I'm going to use Mark in a limited role right now," manager Walt Weiss said. "So it's not like I'm going to be running him out there every day. He just started to take batting practice. It's not like I'm going to hit him with the game on the line or something like that. He can take an at-bat. He can certainly play defense."
