Franklin Gutierrez (hamstring) has been pulled off his rehab assignment, as he's still having problems with his "lower half."

Franklin Gutierrez (hamstring) will work out and run the bases for a second time on Wednesday.
If he comes through it alright, he'll be cleared to begin a rehab assignment. Gutierrez ran the bases on Sunday for the first time with no issues. He shouldn't need a long rehab assignment, so a return later this month is likely if all goes well.

Franklin Gutierrez (hamstring) will run the bases prior to Sunday's game.
Gutierrez has done some running and hitting for over a week, but this is the first time he'll be testing out his hamstring on the bases. "He's moving around a little more," Mariners manager Eric Wedge said Saturday. "When we go on the road we'll leave him back and let him continue to work. We're going to look to have him run the bases tomorrow a little bit and see how that feels. Work early in the week, maybe run the bases again in the middle of the week and then see where we are from there."

Fri May 10 201319:23Franklin Gutierrez moving closer to return
Franklin Gutierrez (hamstring) took batting practice on Friday, and has been running and hitting for the past week.
Gutierrez, who has been on the disabled list since April 23 with a Grade 1 hamstring strain, said Friday that he's close to being ready to return. He got off to a nice start at the plate, hitting .259 with an .823 OPS and four homers through 16 games this season. While he's proven to be a fairly productive hitter when healthy, he just can never seem to stay on the field, and can't be counted on for fantasy purposes.

Franklin Gutierrez has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain and is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.
It's a best-case scenario for the outfielder. Given Gutierrez's injury history, it's always possible that he'll take longer than expected to recover, but it sounds like we'll see him back in mid-May.

Franklin Gutierrez said that he is dealing with a recurring issue in his pelvis which impacts other areas in his legs.
Gutierrez began feeling discomfort during spring training and has been forced to miss some time in recent days. "I have some issues with my pelvis, so I'm trying to fix it," said Gutierrez. "Some days it's my groin. Some days it's my hamstring. It's different, but I'm working on it." Sun Apr 21 201314:41Franklin Gutierrez (groin) may land on DL
Franklin Gutierrez (groin) may be placed on the disabled list if his condition does not improve soon.
Gutierrez is able to play sparingly, but manager Eric Wedge has shied away from playing him on consecutive days to avoid aggravating his groin injury. Wedge admitted that if he's unable to play everyday by the time Michael Saunders is ready to come off the DL, Gutierrez may be the casualty. Obviously it's speculative at this point, but keep an eye on the situation to see how it all shakes out.
