While he's proven to be a fairly productive hitter when healthy, he just can never seem to stay on the field, and can't be counted on for fantasy purposes.

Gutierrez is able to play sparingly, but manager Eric Wedge has shied away from playing him on consecutive days to avoid aggravating his groin injury. Wedge admitted that if he's unable to play everyday by the time Michael Saunders is ready to come off the DL, Gutierrez may be the casualty. Obviously it's speculative at this point, but keep an eye on the situation to see how it all shakes out.
