Biyombo (knee) will likely remain out until after the All-Star break, according to coach Steve Clifford, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Biyombo sustained a bone bruise on his right knee against the Knicks on Jan. 24, and he's missed Charlotte's last three games. It doesn't appear he's anywhere close to returning, and the team has all but ruled him out for the next week-and-a-half. Barring a drastic improvement over the next few days, don't expect to see Biyombo on the court until Feb. 21 at the earliest.

Biyombo has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his right knee and will be re-evaluated in approximately 10 days.

He will not be able to participate in impact activities after leaving Saturday's game with the knee injury and will be sidelined for at least the next three games. In Biyombo's absence, Cody Zeller and Al Jefferson may be asked to play extra minutes, with Jason Maxiell figuring into things off the bench.

Biyombo left Saturday's game with a right knee contusion and was not able to return, the Hornets' official site reports. He played just seven minutes before suffering the injury.

Marvin Williams left the game with a concussion, too, and with both Biyombo and Williams out, Al Jefferson finally moved back into the starting lineup for the second half of the game. It's unclear how severe Biyombo's injury is, and when he returns, he'll likely be back in a limited bench role, dropping him out of the value he'd need to be used in most standard leagues.

Biyombo will continue to start against the Knicks on Saturday, the Charlotte Observer reports.

Biyombo won't likely stay in the starting lineup for long since Al Jefferson is back on the court and looking very productive. In fact, Biyombo's minutes have decreased over the last two games since Jefferson has returned to the lineup and that trend will likely continue as the Hornets allow Jefferson to spend more time on the court.

Biyombo scored 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-3 FT) with 12 rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 25 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Heat.

He took advantage of an under-manned Miami frontcourt, picking up his third double-double in his last five games. Al Jefferson should resume his starting role very soon, but if Biyombo does get another start or two he should be able to produce.

Biyombo had eight points (3-7 FG, 2-6 FT) with 14 rebounds and two blocks in 36 minutes on Saturday in the overtime win against Indiana.

Biyombo has three straight games of at least 12 boards so he can help fantasy teams in that category while Al Jefferson (groin) is out. He can also provide blocks from time to time, but anything beyond that is gravy.

Biyombo scored 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-9 FT) with 15 rebounds and five blocks in 29 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.

He didn't do your FT% any favors, but otherwise Biyombo took full advantage of Matt Bonner and the Spurs' other less athletic centers. It's his second straight double-double, and with Al Jefferson out for another couple of weeks Biyombo should continue to have some value.

Biyombo recorded a career-high 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-5 FT) to go with 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 21 minutes during Saturday's domination of the Knicks.

The double-double marks Biyombo's first of the season, which is quite the feat considering his lack of scoring prowess. While he has a prime opportunity to produce at the moment due to the absence of Al Jefferson (groin), Biyombo has managed to put up just 5.4 points (on 55 percent shooting), 7.4 boards, and 1.3 blocks in 25 minutes per game with the additional run.

Biyombo started for Al Jefferson (groin) and had nine points (1-2 FG, 7-10 FT), seven rebounds, and three blocks in 26 minutes in the loss to Houston on Wednesday.

Biyombo's fantasy value should spike (relatively) with the potential of getting heaps of boards and blocks while Jefferson is out for the next four weeks. Last season, Biyombo started nine games and averaged 4.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 27.0 minutes.

With Jefferson set to miss at least two games, Biyombo should see a major uptick in minutes in the short-term. The 22-year-old has not started a game this season after starting nine in 2013-14 and 65 the previous season. He's extremely limited offensively, but he could have some value in deeper leagues, as he provides 13.5 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per-36 minutes.

Biyombo blocked six shots to goal along with four points (2-3 FG, 0-2 FT) and four rebounds in 12 minutes in the loss to the Magic on Friday.

Biyombo is getting backup playing time (14.6 minutes in his last five), but has averaged 5.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks. If he were to get in the starting lineup, he'd be a nice rebound- and block-based add.

Biyombo only spent 14 minutes on the court Friday but he still managed to record a double-double via 11 points (3-4 FG, 5-6 FT) and 10 rebounds.

Biyombo has only spent 17 minutes on the court this season and was likely more than determined to prove that he deserves more playing time with Friday's efficient effort. He is currently buried on the depth chart, although it will be hard for coach Steve Clifford not to play the 22-year-old if he continues to be this productive in the future.

Biyombo has yet to play any minutes this season. In regards to his playing time, coach Steve Clifford said, "he's got to be a more consistent effort, defense, and rebounding player," the Charlotte Observer reports.

Biyombo had a poor statistical season last year, averaging only 2.9 points and 4.8 rebounds in 14 minutes per game. It seems apparent that the organization hasn't seen the necessary improvement in Biyombo, and are most likely holding him out of the lineup until he shows more in practice. He should have little to no impact for fantasy teams this season with minutes being scarce.

Bismack Biyombo is reportedly being sued for $2 million by the man who "developed" him into an NBA talent.

Igor Crespo claims that he discovered Biyombo in Yemen back in 2009, and they signed a contract in which Biyombo would pay Crespo 10% of all his pro basketball career earnings the rest of his life in exchange for Crepo's help to develop him into an NBA talent. The contract was allegedly signed in Madrid, where Crepo helped Biyombo get a job with a pro team there. So far, Biyombo's camp has yet to issue a statement.

Bismack Biyombo will start in place of Al Jefferson (foot) for Monday's game vs. the Heat.

Biyombo probably won't get all of Big Al's minutes and Cody Zeller will also be in the mix. In fact, Zeller might be getting more playing time with the way the matchups work against the Heat. Zeller has shown more promise in filling up the stat sheet, so he's a bit of a more attractive play in daily fantasy formats.

Bismack Biyombo returned from an ankle injury and had six points, seven rebounds and zero blocks in 17 minutes.

Now that Al Jefferson is healthy and rolling, Biyombo should be an afterthought in fantasy.

The former No. 7 draft pick is averaging a mere 3.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in under 20 minutes per game this season. His offense consists entirely of opportunistic buckets and fantasy owners may not even notice his absence vs. the Magic.
