Tue Feb 1 202218:21Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert Miss Tuesday's Practice
Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell (concussion) and center Rudy Gobert (calf) were both unable to practice on Tuesday. Mitchell has missed each of the last seven games and doesn't have a return in sight. Joe Ingles (knee) was starting in his place, but suffered a torn ACL, so his season is over. Jared Butler could be asked to step up and play significant minutes with the Jazz shorthanded. He's a possible streaming option right now, but doesn't have a ton of upside. Jordan Clarkson should have a bigger role as well with Ingles and Mitchell out right now. Hassan Whiteside should continue to start at center until Gobert returns. He had 12 rebounds and three blocks last game, so he can certainly be a decent short term fantasy option.

Thu Jan 27 202219:19Rudy Gobert Ruled Out Versus Grizzlies
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert (calf) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He suffered a left calf strain on Sunday and now will miss his third straight game because of it. His absence will mean Hassan Whiteside will get another start with Udoka Azubuike getting backup minutes. Whiteside has struggled at times this season, but is worth looking at as a streaming option with Gobert sidelined. The Jazz don't have many options at center, so Whiteside should play significant minutes.

Tue Jan 25 202218:59Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert Will Miss Wednesday’s Game
Utah Jazz point/shooting guard Donovan Mitchell (concussion) and center Rudy Gobert (calf) have been ruled out for Wednesday's contest vs. the Suns. Neither player was available in Monday's loss, with Jordan Clarkson serving as the team's leading scorer and assist man, while Hassan Whiteside paced the club in boards; both figure to remain significant DFS assets for as long as Mitchell and Gobert are sidelined. Mitchell is tied for the sixth-most made triples (3.2) in the league on a nightly basis, with his 20.7 field-goal attempts per outing being absorbed by teammates such as Clarkson, Mike Conley, and Danuel House Jr. Healthy members of the Jazz have similarly had free reign on the boards with the league's top rebounder sidelined, with the next chance for either Gobert or Mitchell to play coming Friday against Memphis.

Mon Jan 24 202218:11Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley Will Miss Monday’s Contest
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert (calf) and point guard Mike Conley (knee, rest) have been ruled out for Monday's game vs. the Suns. Gobert has recently battled an ankle ailment but he will now be sidelined due to a strained left calf. Conley's absence comes as a form of load management after playing 29 minutes Sunday. Without the league's leading rebounder in the mix, Hassan Whiteside is likely to see a significant jump in both time on the floor and usage, making him a hot commodity in the DFS market, particularly during the four-game slate. Conley's absence (along with that of Donovan Mitchell) should funnel more intrigue toward Jordan Clarkson, although Jared Butler could be a sneaky upside DFS option in his own right. Gobert's next chance to return comes Wednesday in a rematch with Phoenix, a matchup Conley should have the green light for.

Sun Jan 23 202219:10Rudy Gobert Will Play Against Warriors
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert (ankle) will be available for Sunday's game against the Golden State Warriors. He is good to go for this contest after dealing with left ankle soreness. He should play nearly 40 minutes with Hassan Whiteside (conditioning) remaining on the sideline. Also, Gobert should be asked to do more on the offensive end with Donovan Mitchell (concussion) sidelined. Bojan Bogdanovic (hand) will also be active and should be asked to step up on the offensive end on Sunday. Although, Gobert is obviously the better fantasy option between the two.

Sat Jan 15 202219:25Rudy Gobert Returns For Sunday
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert will return for Sunday's game against the Denver Nuggets. Gobert has missed each of the last four games while following the league's health and safety protocols. He has finally cleared protocols and can return to action against Nikola Jokic on Sunday. This is huge for the Jazz who desperately needed Gobert back in the lineup. Eric Paschall put together 18 points in 33 minutes during their last game. However, his short lived fantasy value will end with Gobert back in the lineup on Sunday.

Mon Dec 27 202123:56Rudy Gobert Collects 10th Consecutive Double-Double
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert notched yet another double-double during Monday's win over the Spurs, marking his 10th straight such performance. Gobert entered the night with better than a one rebound lead on Denver's Nikola Jokic for the top board honors in the league, as his average actually dipped when snaring 13 boards vs. San Antonio. While he was limited to just 26 minutes, season-long managers can take solace in Gobert shooting 5-for-7 from the floor, in addition to 6-for-6 from the free-throw stripe. Also entering play second in the league in blocks per game (2.3), Gobert added a trio of swats, giving him nine multi-block performances in December.

Tue Dec 21 202108:47Rudy Gobert Dominates Against Charlotte
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert bullied the Hornets on Monday, finishing a 112-102 win with 23 points and 21 rebounds. His shooting was lackluster as he went 4-for-10 from the field, but Gobert had a superb 14-for-15 record at the charity stripe. He handed out a pair of assists as well while recording one steal, one block and two turnovers. Gobert is the best rebounder in the league, and he now boasts six games this year with 20-plus boards. This week's slate is very favorable for the Frenchman, and he should also be able to dominate the glass against Minnesota and Dallas.

Sun Dec 19 202110:16Rudy Gobert Swats Away Season-High Six Shots Saturday Night
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert posted an 11-point, 19-rebound double-double and blocked a season-high six shots in Saturday's 109-103 loss to the Wizards. He shot a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and nailed three of his six free throws. Gobert also tallied one assist and four turnovers across 38 minutes of action. The 29-year-old now has a very favorable schedule coming up, as the Jazz get set to face Charlotte, Minnesota and Dallas. All three teams have posted some very poor defensive numbers this season against opposing centers.

Sat Dec 18 202112:59Rudy Gobert Logs 22nd Double-Double In Loss Friday
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert poured in 16 points and 14 boards for his league-leading 22nd double-double of the season during a 128-126 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Friday. The 29-year-old shot 62.5% from the field on eight attempts and went 6-for-8 from the line. The Stifle Tower also added two assists and a customary two blocks across 33 minutes. The big man is enjoying another monster season, averaging 15.3 points, a career-best 14.6 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game while shooting career-highs of 73.3% from the field and 67.8% from the line.

Fri Dec 10 202107:31Rudy Gobert Shines Against Sixers
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert had a great game against Joel Embiid and the Sixers on Thursday, putting together a big double-double with 17 points and 21 rebounds. He shot 6-for-11 from the field and 5-for-8 at the line, while picking up one assist and two blocks with one turnover in 29 minutes. This was Gobert's fifth 20-rebound game of the season and two of them have come in the last three games. He will have to work hard for rebounds in the next matchup against Washington, but it's a very good spot to perform scoring-wise. The Wizards are giving up the sixth-most points in the league to centers this season.

Sun Dec 5 202118:56Rudy Gobert Pulls Down 20 Rebounds Against Cleveland
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert dominated the glass with 20 rebounds and made key defensive plays late on to help the team to a 109-108 victory over Cleveland on Sunday. He finished with five blocks and one steal on the defensive end. Offensively, this was a pretty quiet performance from Gobert, as he shot 3-for-6 from the field to finish with eight points. He also tallied three assists in 38 minutes. The French giant now boasts four games with 20-plus rebounds this season. He should get plenty of glass eating done again on Wednesday against the Timberwolves, who are allowing the third-most rebounds per 48 minutes to centers this season. They also have a poor defensive record against opposing bigs, so Gobert should get back into the double-double column as well.

Tue Nov 30 202110:45Rudy Gobert Has A Dunkfest Against Portland
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert had eight dunks and finished with 9-for-11 shooting in Monday's dominant victory over Portland, adding 16 rebounds for his 16th double-double of the season. The French giant completed his line with three assists, one steal and one block. Gobert had gone a pair of games without a double-double, so we can call this a bounce-back performance. He gets an uncomfortable matchup next against the Celtics, who own the best defensive record in the league against opposing centers. Boston also gives up the second-fewest rebounds per 48 minutes to centers.

Sun Nov 21 202109:16Rudy Gobert Bags 13th Double-Double Of The Season
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert picked up his 13th double-double of the season on Saturday, notching 21 points on 8-for-12 shooting and pulling down a game-high 14 rebounds in a 123-105 win over Sacramento. He added an assist, a steal and a block to his tally in 30 minutes on the floor. The Kings have a very poor record against opposing centers this season, so this was a perfect spot to perform for Gobert, who is now tied for the league lead in double-doubles with New Orleans' Jonas Valanciunas. The two will have a pair of head-to-head battles next week. Ahead of the matchup, Gobert can enjoy a couple of more games where he's nicely set up for success. The Jazz meet Memphis next, who allow the second-most points in the league to opposing centers this season, and they will then take on the Thunder, who are giving up the second-most rebounds to centers.

Wed Nov 17 202103:41Rudy Gobert Ties Season-High With Four Blocks
On Wednesday, Utah didn't need to play their starters all that much in a blowout win over the Philadelphia 76ers. However, their center Rudy Gobert still got the job done for his fantasy managers in 28 minutes. The Frenchman came through with 15 points, 17 rebounds, four blocks, and a steal in his team's victory. It was his 11th double-double of the year, and the fourth time he's blocked four shots in a game. This season, Gobert is down to 1.7 blocks per game after a career-high 2.7 per game last year. As a result, he's been a tad disappointing as a top-30 option in nine-category leagues, but if the blocks start coming back, his overall season ranking will rise along with the swats.

Mon Nov 8 202108:27Rudy Gobert Gets Back Into Double-Double Column
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert returned to the double-double column on Sunday, finishing a 107-100 loss to Orlando with 21 points and 15 rebounds. He missed only two of his nine shots from the field and went 7-for-8 at the charity stripe with one assist, three steals and four blocks. Gobert also posted four turnovers in 34 minutes. It was a big performance from the French giant, but he couldn't save his team from a second consecutive loss. Utah's last win came against Atlanta whom they face again on Tuesday. Gobert recorded a 13-point, 15-rebound double-double against the Hawks in this season's first meeting, shooting a near-perfect 5-for-6 from the field.

Wed Nov 3 202111:29Rudy Gobert Racks Up 20 Boards, Four Blocks
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert had another standout game on the boards and on defense against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday. He came down with a game-high 20 rebounds while compiling four blocks and one steal. It was the third time this year he'd reached 20 boards in a game and he's now compiled 11 blocks over his last three outings. Gobert wasn't very aggressive offensively on Tuesday. He shot just 3-for-4 from the field and 6-for-9 from the free throw strike as he scored 12 points. Through about two weeks of the season, Gobert is averaging 15.7 points per game and he is the league-leader in rebounds per game at 17.6.

Mon Nov 1 202109:54Rudy Gobert Blocks Season-High Four Shots
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert had a quiet game on offense but affected the game in other ways in a victory over the Bucks. Gobert took just three shots, scoring a season-low nine points, but it was his contributions on the glass, 13 rebounds, and on the defensive end, a season-high four blocks with one steal, that helped power the Jazz to a win Sunday. The French big man was on-pace for a career-low in swats, so it was nice to see the blocks come in bunches against Milwaukee. Gobert ranks fourth in the league in field-goal percentage and is shooting free throws better than ever, a trend that would help his value in roto leagues tremendously.

Thu Oct 21 202109:23Rudy Gobert Pulls Down 21 Rebounds
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tallied 16 points with 21 rebounds and a blocked shot in Wednesday's season-opening win over the Thunder. Gobert tied for third in the NBA in double-doubles last year and wasted no time in picking up his first of the 2021 campaign, as he notched one in just 12 minutes. The star center shot an efficient 6 of 9 from the field. Gobert seems poised to author a strong campaign on the back of his usual excellent rebounding and shot-blocking, with some efficient shooting from the field. He'll get a good matchup on Friday against the Kings. Gobert averaged a double-double with three blocks per game in three contests against Sacramento this year.

Thu Oct 21 202101:35Rudy Gobert Records 21-Rebound Double-Double
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert has established himself as one of the preeminent double-double weapons in the league over the past handful of years, and Wednesday was no different. Despite logging just 29 minutes due to the hefty margin of victory vs. the Thunder, Gobert managed to compile 21 rebounds to go along with 16 points. The 21 boards mark his opening night of the season career best, as he reached the 20-rebound plateau just six times total last year. As consistent as they come in season-long fantasy, nights like Wednesday serve as a reminder that Gobert can be a useful upside play in DFS as well when facing competition that isn't likely to impede his dominance on the glass.
