Sat Feb 9 201302:02Dudley scores three points; in trade rumors
Jared Dudley scored three points on 1-of-3 shooting with two rebounds and one assist over 14 minutes in Friday's blowout loss to the Thunder.
Nearly everybody on the team struggled tonight so we're not putting a whole lot of weight into this game, though it's worth noting that Dudley hasn't been very consistent lately. Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld also said that the Knicks are interested in him, but we're taking that report with a grain of salt for now.

Wed Feb 6 201323:25Jared Dudley scores 14 points with six boards
Jared Dudley scored 14 points with six rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Hornets on Wednesday.
He has been losing some of his minutes at shooting guard as Lindsey Hunter has opted to go with a Goran Dragic-Kendall Marshall backcourt for stretches of games. Dudley has been holding value in standards, but we'll be keeping an eye on how this shakes out. Shannon Brown (six points in 16 minutes) may also be losing some playing time with this development.

Tue Feb 5 201323:16Jared Dudley fails to score in 17 minutes
Jared Dudley was 0-for-5 and failed to score in 17 minutes of Tuesday's win.
Dudley had scored between 11 and 17 points in each of his previous three games, but had nothing going tonight. Kendall Marshall spent some time at shooting guard and played well in 33 minutes, while Shannon Brown was also limited to just 20 minutes and five points, Look for Dudley to bounce back on Wednesday against the Hornets.

Sun Feb 3 201300:59Jared Dudley scores 16 points in 27 minutes
Jared Dudley scored 16 points to go with three rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Warriors on Saturday.
Dudley has put together nice five-game stretch, averaging 15.2 points, 3.6 boards and 2.0 triples on 53.8 percent from the field. After falling off a couple weeks ago, Dudley is back in the mix as a standard league asset.

Sat Feb 2 201301:54Dudley scores 17 points with three treys
Jared Dudley scored 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting (including three treys) with three rebounds and a block in 33 minutes on Friday against the Mavs.
Dudley has been struggling so tonight's outing was a much needed relief. If he was dropped in your league, he's well worth a pickup for the chance he can get back on track.

Thu Jan 31 201301:28Jared Dudley quiet again Wednesday
Jared Dudley played 31 minutes on Wednesday but hit just 3-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points and four rebounds.
Dudley is in a funk right now, averaging just 10.8 points over his last five games. He's hitting 44 percent of his shots over that stretch, but that number is a little misleading because it includes a 10-of-12 night on Saturday. He was 10-of-33 in the other four games, but is also averaging 28 minutes per game over that stretch. His shot should start falling and the numbers should improve soon, but if you want to drop him for a sizzling-hot Michael Beasley, we wouldn't be mad at you.

Sun Jan 27 201322:41Jared Dudley struggles in Sunday's loss
Jared Dudley hit 3-of-9 shots for nine points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes on Sunday.
The minutes were there, but Dudley was much better on Saturday, when he had 23 points and a full stat line in 35 minutes. He's due to bounce back as long as he stays in the starting lineup, so we'd recommend just hanging in there with him for now.

Sat Jan 26 201323:14Jared Dudley scores 23 points in loss vs. SAS
Jared Dudley was hot on Saturday, shooting 10-of-12 from the field for 23 points with five rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Spurs.
He was a big loser in Lindsey Hunter's first two games with just a combined 47 minutes and 11 points. Dudley did get to take advantage of Shannon Brown getting ejected and picked up some spare minutes in the second half. P.J. Tucker played down the stretch, so we can't quite say that Dudley is "back" just yet. That said, he does have upside and is worth owning in standard leagues.

Fri Jan 25 201301:49Jared Dudley takes a back seat on Thursday
Jared Dudley played 25 minutes against the Clippers on Thursday and had just three points, one board, one assist and one 3-pointer.
He played just 22 minutes in his first game with Lindsey Hunter on Wednesday's so now he's 2-for-2 on duds with the new coach. Dudley's minutes went to P.J. Tucker (six points, four rebounds and three steals in 30 minutes) down the stretch and Dudley was only in on an inbound play late in the game before Tucker fouled out. Coach Hunter might have gone with Tucker in a matchup to check Jamal Crawford, which would make sense since Crawford was doing much of the heavy lifting for the Clippers. While Dudley's value could be in trouble, his upside in threes should still make him worth owning unless it's to grab a hot free agent. P.J. Tucker doesn't do enough on offense to be owned in most fantasy leagues.

Thu Jan 24 201301:14Jared Dudley has an off game Wednesday
Jared Dudley played just 22 minutes against the Kings on Wednesday, scoring eight points with five boards, three assists and one steal.
It's obviously not a good start for Dudley with a new head coach, but he's having far too good of a season to put too much stock into a tiny sample size. Dudley owners won't have to wait long for another chance with the Suns taking on the Clippers on Thursday. He's a hold for now.

Fri Jan 18 201300:37Dudley plays well in return from wrist injury
Jared Dudley returned from a two-game absence from a wrist injury and had 13 points, six boards, four assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.
He shot 4-of-10 from the field and made all three attempts from the free throw line. It's encouraging to see have a decent game since Dudley ranks third among shooting guard-eligible players in field goal percentage and is making a career-high 81.4 percent of his free throw attempts. He should be owned in all leagues, so make sure he wasn't cut by an owner that couldn't deal with his wrist injury.

Jared Dudley is still expected to play on Thursday despite lingering soreness in his wrist.
Dudley's swelling is down, and he's not 100 percent, but he's expected to return to the lineup on Thursday. Dudley should reclaim his starting spot in the lineup, moving Shannon Brown back to the bench.

Mon Jan 14 201313:02Update: Jared Dudley will not play on Monday

Dudley didn't play on Saturday, and although Alvin Gentry called him questionable, Dudley ruled himself out of the game as he can't bend his hand all the way back. Shannon Brown, who had 11 points, two steals and a triple while starting for Dudley on Saturday, will start again.

Sat Jan 12 201319:27Dudley out w/ strained wrist, X-rays negative
Updating a previous report, Jared Dudley was sidelined on Saturday by a strained wrist.
X-rays were negative but we'll have to wait for more tests before a firm timetable is established. Shannon Brown started at SG in his absence, and we're likely to see Wes Johnson return to the rotation as a reserve.

Sat Jan 12 201318:49Jared Dudley (hand) not starting Saturday
Jared Dudley (hand) will not start against the Bulls on Saturday.
This news came out of nowhere and Dudley reportedly hurt his hand in the loss to Brooklyn on Friday. There is no word on whether or not he will come off the bench, but conventional wisdom would suggest he is out for the game. Dudley has been productive lately and he should be owned in all leagues. Shannon Brown will start and has a terrific opportunity to redeem himself.

Sat Jan 12 201300:10Dudley stays hot on Friday with 18
Jared Dudley made all four of his attempts from 3-point range and had 18 points with five boards, four assists and one block in 40 minutes against the Nets on Friday.
He cooled off late last December with P.J. Tucker entering the fold, but Dudley is back with an average of 14.6 points and 1.6 triples in his last five games. He's worth owning in all leagues.

Wed Jan 9 201323:05Dudley doesn't shoot well, still scores 14
Jared Dudley shot 6-of-17 from the field for 14 points to go with 10 boards, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in Wednesday's loss in Boston.
The good new for Dudley is that he's been able to hold his allotment of minutes with P.J. Tucker making a surge. Dudley played in at least 35 minute in that last six games in which Tucker's playing time increased. He should be owned in all eight- and nine-cat leagues.

Tue Jan 8 201323:06Jared Dudley bounces back in start at SF
Jared Dudley, who had been starting at shooting guard, traded spots with P.J. Tucker and slid over to small forward Tuesday, finishing with 18 points, five rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 6-of-14 shooting in 42 minutes.
The move back to small forward apparently helped Dudley, who had scored eight or fewer points in three of his previous four games. Obviously the 42 minutes also helped, but the bottom line is that Dudley looked much better tonight at SF. He's averaging 16.6 points 4.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.8 3-pointers in 12 starts at forward this season, but just 8.9 points, 2.5 boards, 1.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.9 3-pointers as a starting guard. Hopefully, Alvin Gentry is aware of the disparity and will leave him at small forward the rest of the way. We sure would.

Sun Jan 6 201323:17Jared Dudley invisible in Suns' home loss
Jared Dudley was invisible in the Suns' loss to the visiting Grizzlies, scoring seven points with one rebound and no other stats to his credit.
Dudley played just 21 minutes, ceding time to both Shannon Brown (seven points in 26 minutes) and Wes Johnson (six points in 16 minutes). He's scored single-digits in three of the last four games, but this is the first time since Dec. 8 that he's played fewer than 33 minutes. Fantasy owners should cut him some slack.
