Sat Jan 5 201304:59Dudley scores 16 points in solid night
Jared Dudley scored 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds and five assists in Friday's 87-80 loss to the Jazz.
Dudley had six turnovers but logged 38 minutes and looked a lot like the beast from two weeks ago tonight. It seems like Dudley is either part of the game plan or he's not on any given night, but he should be owned with the good outweighing the bad by quite a bit lately.

Thu Jan 3 201301:28Jared Dudley quiet again in 35 minutes
Jared Dudley started and played 35 minutes on Wednesday, but hit just 3-of-8 shots and a 3-pointer for eight points, three rebounds and two steals.
He played 41 minutes on Monday and had a pretty similar line, and it's possible that his move to shooting guard is affecting him mentally. But as long as the minutes are there, Dud is going to have fantasy value, and owners should exercise patience as he works his way out of the slump.

Mon Dec 31 201222:29Dudley cools off against the Thunder
Jared Dudley cooled off on Monday against the Thunder, scoring seven points on 2-of-7 shooting (including a three) with eight rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 41 minutes.
It would have been crazy for him to keep up his first round value pace from last week, and he should in all active lineups until his minutes chance and/or his production tails off considerably.

Thu Dec 27 201200:42Jared Dudley has a career night with 36
Jared Dudley shot 11-of-17 from the field for a career-high 36 points to go with five rebounds, three assists, one steal and five 3-pointers in 42 minutes against the Knicks on Wednesday.
Dudley cooled off this weekend by failing to knock down any 3-pointers in his two games. Although, he made a combined 10 triples in his three games prior to the quiet weekend. He played a whopping 38.5 minutes per game in his last eight contests and should be owned in all leagues.

Sun Dec 23 201201:07Jared Dudley dishes career-high 10 assists
Jared Dudley scored only eight points vs. the Blazers on Saturday, but he shattered his previous career high by handing out 10 assists.
Dudley missed all four of his 3-pointers, grabbed just one rebound, and went without any steals or blocks. The assists are fluky but he's now dropping 4.0 dimes per game in December, and he was coming off three straight games with 20+ points. Not bad for a guy you claimed off waivers.

Thu Dec 20 201201:05Jared Dudley scores 20 again on Wednesday
Jared Dudley continued his hot streak on Wednesday with 20 points, four rebounds, five assists, three steals and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes against the Bobcats.
He's on fire. In his nine December games, Dudley has knocked down 2.3 triples and had 1.4 steals. On top of that, he's shooting 55 percent from the field and scoring 14.9 points in that stretch. He's a must-own player.

Tue Dec 18 201201:40Dudley scores 20, Brown scores 22 vs. Kings
Jared Dudley scored 20 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including four threes) with three rebounds and one steal over 37 minutes against the Kings on Monday.
Dudley has been hot coming in so we don't want to discount his value just because the Kings are a mess. Gentry made comments earlier in the night to the effect that Dudley had the small forward position mostly to himself, and while the could change, we've seen the slow start from Dudley last year and it worked out just fine. He has the look of a must-own player in 8- and 9-cat formats even if it's one good game too soon to declare that. Shannon Brown added 22 points in the win.

Mon Dec 17 201220:40Minutes are up for grabs in Phoenix
Alvin Gentry said that his current rotation at the power forward position is not sustainable.
"It doesn't work when you've got three guys at a position," Gentry said. "It works with two but three is tough. But we've got to do whatever is best for us to win basketball games." The report discusses Luis Scola starting and Markieff Morris and Michael Beasley spelling him, so it speaks volumes that he didn't mention Jared Dudley. Dudley has played 43 minutes in back-to-back games and is on the upswing.

Sat Dec 15 201204:18Dudley scores season-high 22 points vs. UTA
Jared Dudley started at small forward once again and scored a season-high 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds, five assists, and three steals in 43 minutes on Friday against the Jazz.
Dudley has been central to the Suns' last two wins, and after a slow start last season it's possible he has hit a turning point this season. Owners should give him strong consideration in 12-team formats. Shannon Brown also started but didn't fare as well, scoring six points with three assists in 33 minutes.

Thu Dec 13 201203:06Jared Dudley plays 43 minutes in start
Jared Dudley started again at small forward and hit 7-of-14 shots for 15 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three steals and a 3-pointer in a season-high 43 minutes on Wednesday.
That's more like the type of lines we were expecting from Dudley prior to the start of the season. He's likely been dropped in your league and recently replaced Michael Beasley in the starting five. While we don't expect him to perform like this every night, he could be in line for heavy minutes going forward, meaning he's worth a flier if you have a player you want to drop. He also scored 15 points in 38 minutes in his first start for Beasley on Saturday.

Sat Dec 8 201214:22Jared Dudley will start, Beasley to bench
Jared Dudley will start at small forward against the Clippers in Saturday in place of Michael Beasley.
Beasley has been horrible this year and can't seem to do anything right with his new team. Dudley's move to small forward benefits both himself and Shannon Brown. If you were on the fence to pick up either Brown or Dudley, go ahead and make the move. Beasley owners will want to move on to greener pastures.

Fri Nov 30 201221:52Dudley scores 14 points off the bench
Jared Dudley scored 14 points off the bench on Friday against the Raptors, hitting 5-of-6 shots (including two threes) with three rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 25 minutes.
Dudley was a slow starter last season and that gives some hope for the future, but he needs to string together a few good games before he warrants consideration in standard formats.

Thu Nov 22 201201:23Dudley plays 20 minutes with four points
Jared Dudley scored four points on 2-of-5 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, and three steals in 20 minutes off the bench on Wednesday against the Blazers.
Dudley went from being one of the more consistent plays last season to the side of a milk carton in this campaign. Whether it's the change in point guards, the addition of Michael Beasley and Luis Scola, or something specifically wrong with Dudley -- he is waiver wire fodder until he shows us he's not.

Sun Nov 18 201200:22Jared Dudley struggles (again) vs. Heat
Jared Dudley vanished on Saturday, going 1-of-5 from the field with one rebound and zero assists in 18 minutes.
Hopefully you don't own multiple Suns players, because the odds are they sank your fantasy team with this stinker against the Heat. Dudley's minutes are down and he's struggling in nearly every facet of the game, earning him a spot on most waiver wires.

Sat Nov 17 201205:35Dudley scores 11 points vs. Lakers
Jared Dudley scored 11 points on 5-of-12 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 31 minutes on Friday against the Lakers.
Sadly, he never really completed the comeback after sputtering on Wednesday, but he has still been a Round 12 value over the past week. Considering his production is in the tank, the implication is that he can only improve. We wouldn't blame owners for taking a glass half-empty approach, but we've seen this act out of him before and it ended well last season.

Tue Nov 13 201204:42Dudley scores 15 points vs. Nuggets
Jared Dudley scored 15 points in Monday's win over the Nuggets, hitting 7-of-15 shots (including a three) with three rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes.
If you haven't noticed we've been hedging as hard as we could on dropping Dudley in 12-team formats, given his recent history of slow starts and overall consistent play when he gets going. This looks like a Dudley line if we've seen one, and we think he should be owned in most formats.

Sun Nov 11 201200:12Dudley shows signs of life, scores 16 points
Jared Dudley provided the Suns' lone bright spot on Saturday, scoring a season-high 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting, with two 3-pointers, two steals and two blocks.
Dudley has been bobbing along on many waiver wires for the past week, which is understandable given his slow start this season, but he's not a guy owners should sleep on. This could be the spark that gets him going, and he has nice season-long upside thanks to quiet across-the-board contributions.

Sat Nov 10 201205:27Dudley scores just eight points on Friday
Jared Dudley stayed ice cold in Friday's win over the Cavs, scoring eight points on 3-of-4 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, two assists, and one steal in 22 minutes.
Dudley, seen as a team leader and key producer last season, has been on the outside looking in all year and now Shannon Brown has kicked his game into overdrive. Even though he (and the Suns team) had a similar start last season, with Alvin Gentry using the bench to motivate his starters, there's too little production to tell owners that they can't or shouldn't drop him.

Tue Nov 6 201202:21Dudley continues to struggle on Monday
Jared Dudley continued to struggle on Monday against the Heat, scoring eight points on 3-of-9 shooting (no threes) with zero rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 23 minutes.
Dudley has been a total mess this season, though a game against the wing defenders of Miami probably isn't the best time to measure his progress. If he does this Wednesday against the Bobcats our concern will be at a much higher level, though it's worth pointing out that he survived a slow start last season and became a solid producer.

Sun Nov 4 201220:58Jared Dudley held to under 25 minutes vs. ORL
Jared Dudley started at SG on Sunday but finished with just three points and four rebounds in 25 minutes.
Owners should try to stay patient with Dudley, but this is the second consecutive game in which he has scored fewer than five points in less than 25 minutes of action. Shannon Brown played 20 minutes off the bench, Sebastian Telfair played 12 minutes and Wes Johnson played nine minutes, and each of them poses a potential threat to Dudley's apparently-jeopardized playing time.
