Wed Mar 18 201512:16Gibson (ankle) said he hopes to return sometime this weekend
Gibson (ankle) said he hopes to return sometime this weekend, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports.
Gibson put in a full practice, including contact, for the first time Tuesday, so a return appears imminent. He'll sit out Wednesday versus Indiana but could return Friday against Toronto or Saturday in Detroit.
Tue Mar 17 201514:14Gibson (ankle) put in full practice Tuesday
Gibson (ankle) put in a full practice Tuesday, ESPN Chicago's Nick Friedell reports.
Gibson returned to practice over the weekend, and he put in another full-speed session Tuesday. He has not been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, though the Bulls have not stated, specifically, if he has a chance to return. Until further notice, consider him questionable for Wednesday's contest, and if he doesn't play, there's a good chance he'll be back on the floor over the weekend.

Gibson (ankle) has returned to practice, KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Gibson, who hasn't played since Feb. 27, has been working out and practicing at full speed, but he's without a target return date. He will not play Sunday against the Thunder and should be monitored on a game-to-game basis as he works back from a sprained ankle.
Fri Mar 13 201511:02Gibson (ankle) will not play Friday against Hornets
Gibson (ankle) will not play Friday against the Hornets, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Gibson was able to get in a workout during Thursday's off day, but is still in need of further practice time before getting back on the court. He's been out of commission since Feb. 27.

Gibson (ankle) continues to sit as he recovers from a sprained ankle. He remains without a fixed timetable to return.
Gibson has now missed five games, and it's still unclear when he'll return to court. While his ankle injury doesn't seem to be too serious, owners in danger of missing the playoffs should have no problem dropping him for a hot hand. Nikola Mirotic has been playing excellently during Gibson's absence, so the case will remain until Gibson returns.
Sat Mar 7 201523:29Gibson (ankle) will not play Sunday against Spurs
Gibson (ankle) will not play Sunday against the Spurs, ESPN Chicago reports.
Gibson had a chance to play Sunday, but he is not yet ready to return, and will miss his fifth straight game. Without much time in between, Gibson could miss further action with the Bulls playing again Monday night. Expect Nikola Mirotic to continue seeing heavy minutes until Gibson is able to return.

Gibson (ankle) is no longer wearing a walking boot but he remains without a recovery timeline, Nick Friedell reports.
At this point, Gibson should be considered day-to-day, though he won't be close to returning to game action until he's able to log some practice time. In his absence, Nikola Mirotic will continue to pick up additional minutes.
Mon Mar 2 201513:39Taj Gibson: (Ankle) In Walking Boot, Out A While
Gibson (ankle) is in a walking boot and will be out a while, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports.
He could end up sitting out all four games this week, so in weekly leagues he should be bench. Nikola Mirotic should be a very solid short-term play while Gibson is out, and with Jimmy Butler (elbow) expected to miss three-to-four weeks, Tony Snell and Mike Dunleavy should also see increased minutes for Chicago.
Sun Mar 1 201511:22Taj Gibson: (Ankle) Will Sit Sunday
Gibson (ankle) will miss Sunday's game against the Clippers, Nick Friedell of ESPN reports.
Gibson should be considered day-to-day as he misses his first game due to this ankle injury. His next opportunity to get back on the court will be against the Wizards on Tuesday while Nikola Mirotic sees added run in the meantime.
Sat Feb 28 201514:21Gibson doubtful for Sunday's game against Clippers
Gibson is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Clippers, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports.
Gibson injured his ankle during Friday's contest against Minnesota and did not return to action. The Bulls are optimistic that Pau Gasol will be able to play Sunday, but if both Gibson and Gasol are out, Nikola Mirotic would be an option at power forward for Chicago.

Gibson isn't expected to require an MRI on the ankle he injured in Friday's victory over the Timberwolves, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Coach Tom Thibodeau relayed that the team's medical staff would wait and see how Gibson's ankle responds to treatment Saturday before determining his availability for Sunday's tilt with the Clippers. Gibson aggravated the same ankle that's dogged him throughout the season, but it has yet to result in a significant in productivity when he's been able to suit up. Aside from a two-point drop in his scoring average, Gibson is holding fairly steady with his numbers from 2013-14 in just about every statistical category.

Gibson suffered an ankle injury in Friday's game against the Timberwolves, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Gibson's absence from the court will leave the Bulls even more shorthanded, with Pau Gasol and Derrick Rose also out. The Bulls play against the Clippers on Sunday, which will be his next chance to return. However, the team should release more details on the injury at some point prior to the contest.

Gibson (illness) returned to action Wednesday from a one-game absence, putting up seven points (2-6 FG, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist, and two blocks in 28 minutes off the bench.
Gibson missed Monday's game against the Bucks with an illness. It appears he's over the illness, so make sure he's back in lineups in deeper leagues and some 12-team leagues with extended rosters.
Wed Feb 25 201512:26Gibson (illness) will play Wednesday against Hornets
Gibson (illness) will play Wednesday against the Hornets, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Despite sitting out Tuesday's practice, Gibson has been given the green light to play Wednesday, though he may be less than 100 percent. He missed Monday's blowout win over the Bucks, which allowed Nikola Mirotic to play 31 minutes. With Gibson back, Mirotic will likely see his workload reduced back into the 15-20 minute range.

Gibson (ankle) did not practice Tuesday and is considered day-to-day, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Gibson was relegated to riding a stationary bike during Tuesday's session, and at this point it seems unlikely he plays Wednesday against Charlotte. However, he has not been ruled out, and the team is only calling him day-to-day, so there is a possibility he could be available after sitting out Monday's win over Milwaukee.
Mon Feb 23 201512:15Taj Gibson: (Ankle/Hand) Out Monday
Gibson (ankle/hand) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Milwaukee, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports.
He revealed over the weekend that he is suffering from a hand injury, in addition to the ankle injury he has been attempting to play through. The Bulls play again Wednesday so there is a chance Gibson will be able to return after a few days off, but he should be considered day-to-day for now. With Gibson out Monday, Nikola Mirotic becomes an excellent play in daily leagues.

Gibson revealed Saturday that he suffered a ligament tear in his left hand in January and the injury is almost healed, ESPN Chicago's Nick Friedell reports.
In addition to the hand injury, Gibson has been banged up with an ankle injury that doctors say will bother him all season, so it is pretty impressive that he has been able to gut it out so far. Gibson's numbers haven't really suffered this season, although he is averaging fewer points per game this season despite seeing the same minutes per game and shooting for a better percentage from the field. This step back can be mostly attributed to the addition of Pau Gasol, however, and not the nagging injuries. Look for Gibson to continue to play through the pain.

Gibson (patella tendinitis) finished Friday's game with four points (2-4 FG), one rebound and two assists in 22 minutes.
Not a spectacular performance from Gibson. He averages 29 minutes per game this season and may have been affected by the injury. He will have four days off until the Bulls face the Rockets on Wednesday.
