Gibson saw an expanded role with Joakim Noah sitting out of this game. He just missed a double-double with 15 points (5-8 FG, 5-5 FT), nine rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and a steal in 38 minutes.
As long as Noah misses time with an ankle injury Gibson is going to get more minutes and have plenty of chances to pile up rebounds, points and defensive stats. Once he returns his role will diminish some, but he will still have value to hold onto in standard leagues, especially with the Bulls front court being injury prone.
