Tue Dec 14 202118:54James Harden Enters Safety Protocols
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden won't be available for Tuesday's game against the Toronto Raptors. It sounds like Harden is going to miss some time unless he produces two negative PCR tests over a 48-hour period. Fantasy managers will have to be patient and hope for the best. Possibly, Harden can return in time for the Christmas Day matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. Until then, Kevin Durant will see a spike in usage while Patty Mills and Cam Thomas get more involved.

Sat Dec 11 202120:56James Harden Will Rest Against Pistons
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Detroit Pistons. The Nets want to be cautious with the former MVP, so they will give him a rest day against the struggling Pistons. That being said, Cam Thomas and Bruce Brown should see additional minutes. Although, Kevin Durant will be the biggest winner since he'll be asked to be the focal point of the offense. He'll be a popular DFS option for Sunday's slate. Patty Mills will also see more touches and should be on the DFS radar as well without Harden available on Sunday.

Thu Dec 9 202108:14James Harden Can't Get Shots To Drop In Houston
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden used to dominate at the Toyota Center, but he struggled mightily there as a visiting player on Wednesday, shooting only 4-for-16 from the field in a 114-104 loss to the Rockets. He was very busy with the three-ball, finishing 3-for-12, and only a 14-for-16 effort at the charity stripe helped Harden to have a decent night with 25 points. He added 11 rebounds and eight assists to his tally with two steals and eight turnovers in 39 minutes. Brooklyn finished a back-to-back set here, so it wasn't easy for Harden, especially with Kevin Durant and LaMarcus Aldridge not on the court to help share the load. The Beard is shooting just 32.8 percent from the field and 25 percent from downtown this month ahead of Friday's clash with the Hawks.

Wed Dec 8 202108:07James Harden Falls Just Short Of A Triple-Double
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden missed his fifth triple-double of the season by one rebound in Tuesday's victory over Dallas, racking up 23 points, nine boards and 12 assists with one block and five turnovers. It was a nice shooting night for the Beard, as he went 7-for-13 from the field and 3-for-6 from downtown with a 6-for-7 record at the line. Harden played a whopping 42 minutes, so it will be interesting to see if he has any juice left for Wednesday's special matchup against Houston. The former MVP shined with a 29-10-14 line in his first trip back to H-Town last season.

Wed Dec 1 202107:50James Harden Shines Against Knicks
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden had a big game against the Knicks on Tuesday, leading all scorers with 34 points and recording 10 rebounds and eight assists. He also had three steals and five turnovers, shooting 11-for-20 from the field and 9-for-10 at the line with a 3-for-8 record from outside. Harden's scoring numbers have fallen off a cliff this season and he ended up having more points against the Knicks than he had managed in his previous two outings combined. With that said, it's his second 30-point effort in five games, so there's been a noticeable improvement lately. Harden closes out the week against Minnesota and Chicago, who are both good defensive teams, so it will be interesting to see how the Beard handles things.

Sun Nov 28 202109:10James Harden Records An Unimpressive Triple-Double
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden posted his fourth triple-double of the season on Saturday against the Suns, but it came with an inefficient performance. The Beard had a 12-13-14 line in a 113-107 loss with 4-for-15 shooting and seven turnovers. He didn't make any of his six attempts from behind the arc. Harden finished things off with one steal and two blocks in 40 minutes. The former MVP had struggled with his shooting all season and has gone below 31 percent from the field in three of his most recent four outings. He gets a three-game slate to improve his form next week.

Wed Nov 17 202108:10James Harden Leads Nets In Scoring Tuesday Night
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden bagged a team-high 24 points in Tuesday's 117-99 loss to Golden State, shooting 6-for-13 from the field and 10-for-11 at the foul line with a 2-for-6 effort from deep. Kevin Durant had a rare cold night and settled for 17 points against his former team. Harden's line also included four rebounds and four assists with five turnovers in 32 minutes. This was a demoralizing defeat for the Nets, but they can bounce back straight away with Cleveland ready to visit the Barclays Center on Wednesday. Brooklyn will then close out the week against the Magic in a matchup where both Harden and Durant could do a lot of damage. One of Harden's three triple-doubles this season came against Orlando on Nov.10.

Mon Nov 15 202108:28James Harden Picks Up 16 Points, 13 Assists On Sunday
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden cruised to 16 points and 13 assists in Sunday's blowout win over the Thunder, shooting 5-for-13 from the field and 5-for-5 at the charity stripe. He had an awful night from downtown, going 1-for-8 with the three-ball, and six turnovers didn't exactly look pretty on his line either. Harden added six rebounds and three steals to his tally in 36 minutes on the court. The Beard has now recorded double figures in assists in six of his past eight games. He's been more of a playmaker this season, leaving the hard work to Kevin Durant, who is averaging a league-high 29.6 points per game. The duo will look to cool down the Warriors on Tuesday and should be highly motivated to perform well.

Sat Nov 13 202109:48James Harden Posts Monster 39-Point, 12-Assist Line
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden looked like the MVP candidate fantasy managers have become accustomed to seeing in Friday's win over the Pelicans. Harden dropped a season-high 39 points, making 11 of 18 attempts from the field while shooting an impressive 6-for-10 from three-point range. The Beard handed out 12 assists while adding five boards, a steal, and a blocked shot. Not only did Harden excel as a scorer on the floor, but he also got to the line 15 times, making 11 of them, his second game this season with double-digit makes at the charity stripe. He has two triple-doubles and a 30-point double-double this month- Harden is back to doing what he does best, which is stuffing the stat sheet.

Thu Nov 11 202100:01James Harden Does It All With Another Triple-Double
In Wednesday's 123-90 win over the Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden produced his second triple-double of the month. In 30 minutes, the nine-time All-Star recorded 17 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, two steals, and one three-pointer as his team cruised to their sixth win in seven games. The scoring is still not there for the 2018 MVP, as he's only scored more than 20 points once in five November games. However, he is beginning to contribute in the assist and rebound category consistently. Wednesday's triple-double was his third in the last six games. The hopes of him being the No. 1 player in the game may already be gone this season, but he's still a top-15 option from now on.

Sun Nov 7 202119:37James Harden Has Big Fourth Quarter Versus Toronto
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden scored 16 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter as Steve Nash's team collected a fifth consecutive win over Toronto. Harden also came very close to a second consecutive triple-double, falling just two assists short. He grabbed 10 rebounds and posted two turnovers in 39 minutes with 10-for-20 shooting from the field. The veteran scorer went 3-for-10 from outside and even had a chance to put in some work at the line this time, going 5-for-6. Harden's free throw numbers have nosedived this season following rule changes. It's lowered his scoring output, but he's picked things up in other areas and has started to flirt with triple-doubles on a regular basis.

Sat Nov 6 202107:55James Harden Records Another Triple-Double
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden made it two triple-doubles in three games on Friday, rolling to a 13-10-10 line in a 96-90 win over Detroit. He also posted a triple-double against the Pistons last Sunday. Harden became the fifth player in NBA history with a triple-double and no two-point baskets, going 3-for-5 from outside and 4-for-4 at the line. He was a poor 3-for-10 from the field overall and nine turnovers were also a major negative. The Beard produced a pair of steals and one block on the defensive end. Harden continues to disappoint with his scoring numbers, but he has picked up his playmaking and rebounding lately to get close to averaging a triple-double for the season. He'll close out the week on Sunday against the Raptors.

Mon Nov 1 202105:44James Harden Notches First Triple-Double Of The Year
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden came up with his first triple-double of the year in the team's 117-91 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. He scored 18 points to go along with 12 assists and 10 rebounds. He was efficient in the game, shooting 6-for-9 from the field and 4-for-7 from three-point range. It's been a slow start to the year for the former MVP. Over seven games, he's averaging 18.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game while shooting just 39.8% from the field. He had a big weekend though as he notched a season-high 29 points on Friday before posting Sunday's triple-double. His next game will be on Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks.

Fri Oct 29 202123:28James Harden Scores Season-High 29 Points
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden enjoyed a vintage game in Friday's win over the Pacers. Harden poured in a season-high 29 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the field and 3 of 6 shooting from beyond the arc, adding eight rebounds, eight assists, two blocks, and a steal. The superstar guard drained a season-high 16 of 19 free throws- as he put his early-season offensive struggles firmly behind him with this Harden-like performance. The Beard's fantasy managers were likely a bit worried about his low scoring and free-throw shooting output but can breathe a sigh of relief after Friday night's showing, as he was his usual aggressive self with the ball in his hands. Harden will have a good chance at an encore performance on Sunday against the 0-4 Pistons.

Tue Oct 26 202105:57James Harden Continues Worrying Early-Season Trend
On Monday, the Brooklyn Nets downed the Washington Wizards to bounce back from a Sunday defeat, but a disturbing early-season trend continued for James Harden. The Nets point guard provided 14 points, nine assists, six rebounds, a block, and a steal in 30 minutes, but he only got to the foul line three times. It now makes four straight games where the 2018 MVP has taken four free throws or less, and it really looks like the new foul-hunting rules are affecting Harden's overall line. It's only the second time since the 2011 season he's gone that long without five free-throw attempts in a game. Fantasy managers shouldn't hit the panic button yet, but they need to watch whether Harden can figure this out soon.

Sun Oct 24 202120:37James Harden Gets Limited To 15 Points
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden managed to score only 15 points in Sunday's 111-95 loss against Charlotte, shooting 6-for-16 from the field and 2-for-8 from outside with one successful free throw. The Beard handed out eight assists but also had the same number of turnovers while picking up seven rebounds with one steal and one block in 33 minutes. Harden's shots aren't dropping early in the season and he hasn't yet notched more than 20 points in a game. Seeing him get to the line only a handful of times is also a bizarre sight. He'll have four games next week to look for his form, starting with Monday's clash against Washington.

Thu Aug 12 202121:02James Harden Extension In The Works
Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden could be nearing a contract extension. General manager Sean Marks is hoping a new deal will be complete before the start of the new year, with Kyrie Irving also on the radar to receive one as well. The latest update comes after Kevin Durant recently agreed four-year, $198 million extension nearly a week ago, so it appears as if the franchise is trying to lock up all three superstars for years to come. Nonetheless, the former MVP averaged 24.6 points, 10.9 assists, and 8.5 rebounds throughout 36 games with the team after being traded by the Houston Rockets early during the 2020-2021 season. While a nagging hamstring ailment plagued him at times, he will be ready to go in October, so managers should view him as a top-10 option in upcoming fantasy drafts.

Thu Jul 22 202102:50Title rewards Antetokounmpo's decision to commit to Bucks
MILWAUKEE (AP) — This could have been the offseason in which Giannis Antetokounmpo entered the free-agent market and perhaps teamed up with another superstar to try winning multiple NBA titles together. Antetokounmpo instead will spend the summer celebrating a championship he won with the team that picked him. Leading the Bucks to their first NBA crown in half century rewarded Antetokounmpo for his December decision to sign a supermax extension with Milwaukee. Antetokounmpo averaged 35.2 points, 13.2 rebounds and 5 assists to help the Bucks beat the Phoenix Suns 4-2 in the NBA Finals. “I could go to a superteam and just do my part and win a championship,’’ Antetokounmpo said Tuesday as he was flanked by the Larry O’Brien trophy and his NBA Finals MVP trophy. “But this is the hard way to do it and this is the way to do it. And we did it.” Antetokounmpo, 26, stuck with the franchise that had taken a chance on him eight years ago by selecting him with the 15th overall pick in the draft. He... [More]
