Fri Apr 7 202316:06James Harden And Tyrese Maxey Getting A Rest Night
Philadelphia 76ers guards James Harden and Tyrese Maxey will both receive a rest night against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. They'll most likely get another rest day for their final game after this as well, but if there are any fantasy managers still in their championship game, then the bench players are calling. Since De'Anthony Melton is doubtful, Shake Milton, Danuel House Jr., and even Furkan Korkmaz could be seeing some extra minutes on the court.

Wed Mar 29 202319:09James Harden Will Return Wednesday
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden (Achilles) will play Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks. Harden has missed the past four games dealing with soreness in his left Achilles, but will make his return to the lineup versus the Mavs. Harden's return should push De'Anthony Melton to the bench where he will likely see a reduced role. It remains to be seen if Harden is limited in anyway, but with the regular season nearing its end, the Sixers will likely take it easy with the veteran guard.

Tue Mar 28 202323:30James Harden Questionable Again On Wednesday
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden (Achilles) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup with Dallas. The 33-year-old appeared to be in line to return on Monday in Denver after a three-game absence. However, he didn't play. Joel Embiid (calf) also didn't suit up for that one, allowing Tyrese Maxey to finish with a game-high 29 points. If both Embiid and Harden remained sidelined on Wednesday night, Maxey would certainly be a popular DFS option. At the same time, Tobias Harris will also receive extra attention from fantasy managers.

Mon Mar 27 202314:57James Harden On Track To Play Monday
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden (Achilles) is on track to suit up for Monday's game against the Denver Nuggets. It appears the veteran guard is ready to get back on the court after missing the last three games due to Achilles soreness. The Sixers can certainly use Harden's help with Joel Embiid (calf) on the sideline for this game. The return of Harden would mean less minutes and value for De'Anthony Melton and Shake Milton. Fantasy managers will have to check back closer to tip-off for another update on Harden.

Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden (Achilles) is questionable versus the Denver Nuggets on Monday. Sat Mar 25 202316:13James Harden May Miss Another One On Saturday
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden (Achilles) is questionable for Saturday's road meeting in Phoenix. He's been dealing with left Achilles soreness, recently holding him out of Philly's previous two contests. But considering Harden will be instrumental in a potential deep postseason push, keeping him healthy is the No. 1 priority. Nevertheless, if the former MVP can't suit up, De'Anthony Melton should remain in the starting lineup. The 24-year-old has averaged 11.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 steals in 54 starts this season. However, those numbers could increase if Joel Embiid (calf), who is also questionable, doesn't play, either.

Wed Mar 22 202318:38James Harden Will Sit Wednesday
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden (Achilles) will not play versus the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. Harden has been dealing with ongoing foot soreness which has now be diagnosed as Achilles soreness. With the Sixers likely to finish as a top seed in the East, they will likely be looking to manage Harden's play time moving forward. De'Anthony Melton should get the spot start while Tyrese Maxey should see an increase in usage.

Tue Mar 21 202321:08James Harden Dealing With Achilles Soreness
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden (Achilles) is listed as questionable ahead of Wednesday game against the Chicago Bulls. Harden was recently held out of a back-to-back game with left foot soreness and is now being listed with Achilles soreness in the same foot. The Sixers have been cruising to a high seed in the Eastern Conference and will likely be resting Harden down the stretch regardless. When Harden last sat out, De'Anthony Melton started and recorded six steals in 34 minutes. If Harden sits again, Melton should get another start while Tyrese Maxey should see a big bump in usage.

Sat Mar 18 202318:15James Harden Ruled Out For Saturday's Game
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Indiana Pacers. It's the second game of a back-to-back set, so the Sixers will play it safe and rest Harden. He'll be joined by P.J. Tucker (ankle) on the sideline for Saturday's contest. That being said, De'Anthony Melton and Shake Milton will both have expanded roles with the Sixers shorthanded. Between the two, Melton is the better streaming option for Saturday's slate.

Sat Mar 18 202309:49James Harden Picks Up A Triple-Double In Friday's Win
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden came away with his fifth triple-double of the season Friday when the team demolished Charlotte 121-82. The Beard had a mighty struggle shooting the basketball, going 4-for-15 from the field and 0-for-6 from deep, but he did just enough to reach triple-double numbers, recording 11 points with 11 rebounds and 10 assists. He also had three steals in 31 minutes on the court. The league's assists leader keeps showing off great playmaking ability and has now notched double-digit assists in six of his last seven appearances. The run includes a 20-assist performance. Harden's shooting was very disappointing on Friday, but he should bounce back in Saturday's matchup versus Indiana if he doesn't get rested.

Thu Mar 16 202310:28James Harden Collects His 32nd Double-Double On The Season
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden continues to be a force in his new role as the main distributor instead of the do-it-all type that he was in Houston. During a comeback win over Cleveland on Wednesday, he put up 28 points, 12 assists, six rebounds, and three steals on 8-for-18 shooting. He added three made shots from deep and went 9-for-12 from the line as well. He still leads the league in assists per game and is one of only four players that are averaging 10 or more assists per contest.

Tue Mar 7 202318:54James Harden Will Not Play Against T-Wolves
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden (foot) has been ruled out Tuesday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. Harden is being listed out with foot soreness, but it is likely a rest day for the veteran guard on the second night of a back-to-back. With Harden out, De'Anthony Melton and Tyrese Maxey should see extra minutes and usage. The Sixers do not play again until Friday night and Harden should be back in action by then.

Tue Mar 7 202317:37James Harden Listed As Questionable Against Minnesota
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden (foot) received a questionable tag on Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The veteran floor general is fresh off of a 20-assist game against the Indiana Pacers on Monday, so the questionable status could just be to see if he feels ok enough to play by shootaround. Doc Rivers and the Sixers will want to make sure their superstars are ready when the playoffs roll around. If he doesn't suit up, Shake Milton would likely enter the starting lineup unless Tobias Harris (calf) or P.J. Tucker (back) can actually play.

Tue Mar 7 202308:53James Harden Dishes Out 20 Assists Against Indiana
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden served up 20 assists as the team pulled off a 147-143 win over Indiana on Monday. He added 14 points on 3-for-11 shooting and nine rebounds. It was a poor shooting night for Harden, who finished 1-for-6 from three-point land, but he showed off incredible playmaking ability and recorded his second game of the season with 20-plus assists with only one turnover. The Beard continues to lead the league with 10.8 assists per game and has posted 21.9 points with 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals.

The 33-year-old finished the game with 31 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and two blocks while shooting 10-for-16 from the floor, 6-for-9 from deep, and 5-for-7 from the line. Multiple times in the fourth quarter, Harden hit big shots to keep the Sixers within arm's reach until they eventually took the lead. He's done a great job at keeping the turnovers relatively low while leading the league in assists and shooting the best three-point percentage mark in his career.

Sat Feb 11 202307:05James Harden Extends Double-Double Streak
Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden rolled through with his fourth consecutive double-double in Friday's 119-108 triumph over the Knicks. He wasn't far off a triple-double either, finishing the game with 20 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists. The Beard added a steal to his account and shot 7-for-17 from the field, including 2-for-8 from downtown. It wasn't an efficient performance, but Harden still got the job done and the Sixers didn't have any trouble coasting to another victory. Harden is averaging a double-double for the season with 21.1 points and 10.9 assists, and he should continue in the same vain until the end.

Fri Feb 10 202313:152023 NBA Trade Deadline Breakdown - Fantasy Basketball Impacts
The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. Kyrie, KD, and Westbrook are all heading to new teams and we have been covering those trades and their fantasy impacts here at RotoBaller. But there were plenty of other lesser-known players who were dealt in the last few days and I wanted to go through and make sure we don't overlook some of these trades as some of those deals may even have more fantasy impact than the big moves. So here are some other trades that went down and my two cents on the increase or decrease in value that we should expect from the players involved for the remainder of the 2022-2023 fantasy basketball season.

Moves That Matter

These are very much in order of how much they matter. Let's start with the Spurs sending their starting center back up North where he started his career.Jakob Poeltl to the RaptorsI am a huge Poeltl fan and was close to acquiring him on multiple teams before the deadline. It was a curious move by Toronto to be buyers instead of sellers at the deadline, but Poeltl gives them the presence at the five they have been lacking all season and allows Siakam to shift over and play PF where he belongs.Poeltl is no longer a shutdown candidate and has legit top-50 upside with his multi-category abilities. His departure also makes ... [More]
Thu Feb 9 202323:29Kevin Durant Traded to Suns - Fantasy Basketball Impact
As hectic as this year's NBA trade deadline has been, with 28 out of the 30 teams making at least one trade, early Thursday morning at 1:00 am, a blockbuster trade went down that not many expected. However, if you had read my previous article, you could have gotten a glimpse of the future thanks to my magic ball, as the first "potential trade" I wrote about was sending Kevin Durant to none other than the Pheonix Suns.Kevin Durant is undeniably a top-three player and arguably even the best in the NBA right now. It's not surprising to hear how stunned the NBA world was after seeing this trade, as the Suns sold a huge chunk of their future for the Nets superstar but were somehow saved from involving Deandre Ayton in the trade!Any average NBA fan knows how much of an impact future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant has on any team, but to emphasize just how much, check this out: The Suns went from odds of +1800 of winning the finals to +450 on Thursday morning after the huge trade, now only behind the Boston Celtics, who lead the race with their odds being +350.

Kevin Durant's Season Recap

Durant (knee) has been sidelined for over a month after getting hurt on January 8 against the Miami Heat and remains without a timetable to return to make his debut with the Suns. Before getting hurt, the 13-time All-Star was averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.8 blocks, and 36 minutes in 39 appearances this season.
