Albies will miss the rest of the season with a hairline fracture in his thumb, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

The injury will keep Albies out for the rest of Low-A Rome's remaining schedule, but the Braves are hoping he'll be able to make for lost time in the instructional league. Albies, 18, has slugged just over .400 this year and at just 5-foot-9, he doesn't project to add a ton of power in time, but his plus-plus speed should allow him to continue posting high BABIPs and stolen base totals as he moves up the ladder.

Albies, 18, is batting .331/.385/.425 with 30 RBI and 24 steals through 74 games for Low-A Rome.

Albies has been on fire recently, hitting .409 over his last 10 contests. The average combined with the fact that he has fanned just 39 times at this level makes the teenager's 2015 campaign all the more impressive.
