Wed Sep 15 202108:50Ozzie Albies Reaches Base Twice On Tuesday
Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a walk in the team's 5-4 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday. He also struck out in the game and he was caught stealing in his only stolen base attempt. Albies got off to a scorching hot start to the month of September as he homered in each of his first four games of the month. However, he struggled a bit after that, going just 1-for-19 over a four-game stretch before breaking through with a home run in this past Sunday's game. While Albies' season-long batting average of .257 is a bit disappointing, he's provided fantastic counting stats this year with career-highs in both home runs (28) and RBI (94).

Tue Sep 7 202123:33Ozzie Albies Homers, Drives In Four
Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored, four RBI, and a walk during an 8-5 victory over the Washington Nationals on Tuesday. The two-time All-Star connected for his 27th homer, a two-run shot, off of Nationals relief pitcher Ryne Harper during the seventh inning. The 24-year-old now has 27 HR, 93 RBI, 88 R, and 17 SB with a .262/.318/.820 line across 530 at-bats. With a 9.4% barrel rate, 37.4% hard hit rate, and 21.2-degree launch angle, Albies has put together a career year in the power department. The Atlanta second baseman should continue to be the best option at the position for the next several years in a deep and talented lineup.

He was able to go through pregame workouts, but will sit out at least one more game. Ehire Adrianza is hitting eighth and covering second base versus righty Chi Chi Gonzalez on Thursday. Adrianza isn't in a favorable part of the order and doesn't offer enough upside to warrant using as a streaming choice on Thursday.

Wed Sep 1 202118:54Ozzie Albies Out Of Braves Lineup On Wednesday
Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies (knee) is not in the lineup on Wednesday for the finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 24-year-old exited Tuesday's 3-2 loss to LA after taking a foul tip off of his left knee. Since x-rays on the knee came back negative, it's fair to consider him day-to-day at this point. Ehire Adrianza will fill in at second base and bat eighth on Wednesday against Max Scherzer. Adrianza has faired well against right-handed pitching this season but has yet to face Scherzer over his career.

Sun Aug 29 202100:15Ozzie Albies Has Two-Hit Contest
Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies is a somewhat forgotten man in the lineup these days. The red-hot performances by Freddie Freeman and Austin Riley have headlined the Braves over the last few weeks. However, Albies has remained solid at the plate and showed what he can do on Saturday. He went 2-for-4 with two singles and a stolen base in the 5-0 loss to the San Francisco Giants. Albies is slashing .258/.318/.479 with 22 homers, 85 RBI and 17 stolen bases this season. Fantasy managers need to continue starting him the rest of the way.

Wed Aug 25 202107:45Ozzie Albies Goes 2-For-5 In Tuesday's Loss
Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies went 2-for-5 with a run scored in the team's 5-4 loss to the New York Yankees on Tuesday. Albies was red hot earlier this month, but has cooled off over the last 10 days or so. He hit five home runs over a six-game stretch from August 8 to August 14. Since August 14, however, he's only managed one extra-base hit, a double. He's slashing just .222/.290/.422 over August as a whole. Albies' 111.4 max exit velocity on the year is a career-best clip and it ranks in the 80th percentile. He's also maintained a career-best average launch angle of 21.1 degrees this year. He can be a bit streaky at times, but he should wrap up the year as one of the better overall producers at second base.

Sat Aug 14 202122:19Ozzie Albies Does A Little Of Everything
Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies had no problems hitting the Washington Nationals during Saturday's contest. He went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a triple during the 12-2 blowout win. The 24-year-old collected 3 RBI as well, but was outshined by Dansby Swanson's 6-RBI game here. Albies is hitting .260/.321/.500 with 22 home runs, 80 RBI, and 14 stolen bases on the season. This double play combination of Swanson and Albies needs to be started in all fantasy formats going forward.

Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies made the lopsided defeat a little better with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Cincinnati Reds. He went 1-for-5 at the plate, but hit a solo home run off righty Jeff Hoffman in the seventh inning. It was Albies 20th of the season, but didn't have much impact on the outcome of this game. The 24-year-old has hit three home runs in his last four games. Fantasy managers certainly need to make sure Albies is in their starting lineups every game going forward.

Thu Aug 12 202100:36Ozzie Albies Stuffs Stat Sheet on Wednesday
Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies went 2-for-5 with a homer, three RBI, two runs, and a stolen base during an 8-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. The two-time All-Star hit a walk-off three-run homer in the 10th inning off of Reds relief pitcher Lucas Sims. The 24-year-old has had a terrific 2021 season, posting 19 homers, 75 RBI, 71 runs and 14 steals with a .257/.320/.480 line over 440 at-bats. Albies is one steal shy of matching his career-high of 15 and also has a chance of eclipsing his career-high in homers of 24. The Atlanta table-setter has been everything fantasy managers could've wanted in a second baseman, and is entering his prime with a talented roster hitting behind him.

Wed Aug 4 202114:16Ozzie Albies Maintaining Career-Best 37% Hard-Hit Rate
Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies has been a strong all-around contributor for fantasy managers this year. Through 105 games, he's slashed .262/.321/.485 with 17 home runs, 13 stolen bases, 69 RBI and 66 runs. He has been maintaining some of the best power metrics of his career this year. He currently has a career-best 37% hard-hit rate, up from 28.4% last year, as well as a career-best average launch angle of 21.6 degrees, up from 17.8 degrees last year. Albies is on pace to shatter his career-high in stolen bases, which he set when he stole 15 in 2019. He could also flirt with his career-high in home runs (24) this year if he can close the season strong.

Wed Jul 28 202110:29Ozzie Albies Smacks Homer In Win Over Mets
Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies made sure to join in on the offensive parade against the New York Mets on Tuesday. He went 2-for-4 with a single and a home run in the 12-5 blowout victory. His performance was overlooked due to the fact Austin Riley hit two home runs and had 6 RBI. However, Albies has been a key part to this offense and continues to hit. He'll have some bad games at the plate, but Albies continues to be a must-start fantasy option.

Fri Aug 7 201517:38Albies will miss rest of season with hairline fracture in thumb
Albies will miss the rest of the season with a hairline fracture in his thumb, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
The injury will keep Albies out for the rest of Low-A Rome's remaining schedule, but the Braves are hoping he'll be able to make for lost time in the instructional league. Albies, 18, has slugged just over .400 this year and at just 5-foot-9, he doesn't project to add a ton of power in time, but his plus-plus speed should allow him to continue posting high BABIPs and stolen base totals as he moves up the ladder.

Albies, 18, is batting .331/.385/.425 with 30 RBI and 24 steals through 74 games for Low-A Rome.
Albies has been on fire recently, hitting .409 over his last 10 contests. The average combined with the fact that he has fanned just 39 times at this level makes the teenager's 2015 campaign all the more impressive.
