Tue Apr 15 201423:17Cole Aldrich goes for 13 & 13 off bench
Cole Aldrich played 25 minutes off the bench and hit 4-of-6 shots for 13 points, 13 rebounds, a steal and a block in Tuesday's win over the Nets.
This was basically the biggest game of Aldrich's non-storied career and simply suggests that he should have played more this season for the Knicks. With Amare Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony and possibly Tyson Chandler not likely to play on Wednesday, Aldrich should be in line for another nice night.

Sun Apr 13 201422:13Cole Aldrich plays 18 minutes vs. Bulls
Knicks rookie Cole Aldrich had six points, eight rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 18 minutes on Sunday, marking his second-most playing time of the season.
Mike Woodson said that he'll give his young players more minutes down the stretch, with the playoffs already out of reach, and Aldrich may be one of the guys to benefit the most. Unfortunately, his value is too tentative to bother with him outside of deep leagues.

Thu Mar 13 201400:04Cole Aldrich shocks all, double-doubles
Cole Aldrich had one of the most shocking double-doubles of the season on Wednesday with 12 points, 10 boards, one assist and three blocks in 25 minutes.
The Knicks were without Tyson Chandler (personal), Amare Stoudemire (rest) and Kenyon Martin (ankle) tonight, so he had a huge chance tonight. Stoudemire just got some rest on a back-to-back set here, so it's hard to get too attached to picking up Aldrich. If you started him somehow tonight, pat yourself on the back.

Wed Mar 12 201412:31Cole Aldrich to start at center Wednesday
Cole Aldrich will start at center for the Knicks on Wednesday with both Tyson Chandler (personal) and Amare Stoudemire (rest) unavailable.
Jeremy Tyler will also get heavy minutes as the Knicks cobble together a frontcourt, and neither guy stands out as a convincing short-term option. Aldrich is averaging under one point per game in an end-of-bench role for New York.

Thu Jan 30 201411:50Cole Aldrich to return from D-League Thursday
Cole Aldrich has been recalled from the Erie BayHawks of the D-League.
Aldrich was sent down on Wednesday along with Toure Murry and Jeremy Tyler to get some extra practice time and will be with the Knicks when they take on the Cavaliers Thursday night. The 27-year old has averaged 13.3 minutes over his last three games, but hasn't done much with his increased playing time and shouldn't be on any fantasy rosters other than in the deepest of leagues.

Sat Jan 25 201401:05Cole Aldrich gets early minutes vs. Bobcats
Cole Aldrich saw first quarter minutes against the Bobcats on Friday, finishing with two points, eight boards and two fouls in 15 minutes.
The Knicks are paper thin up front and figure to keep bringing Aldrich off the bench to spell Tyson Chandler. Of course, he doesn't make much fantasy value outside of extremely deep leagues.

Thu Nov 7 201312:39Cole Aldrich likely to see playing time
Cole Aldrich is likely to see some minutes while Tyson Chandler is out.
Mike Woodson has said he'll likely slide Andrea Bargnani into his center spot while Tyson Chandler is out, but it sounds like Cole Aldrich may see some run as well. Woodson said of Aldrich, "He's gotta be ready to play," so it looks like the 24-year-old will see the floor when the Knicks play Charlotte. His career averages of 2.0 points and 2.3 rebounds, however, speak volumes fantasy-wise.

Sun Oct 13 201312:09Cole Aldrich called out for lack of effort
Knicks training camp invite Cole Aldrich hasn't played tough enough or shown enough energy, according to Mike Woodson.
This could be the death-knell for Aldrich's chances to make the team, which seemingly improved when Jeremy Tyler had foot surgery this week.

Fri Sep 27 201321:47Report: Cole Aldrich has knee issues
Cole Aldrich is apparently dealing with knee issues according to beat writer Jared Zwerling.
"Question is knees; always has been since draft," tweeted Zwerling about Aldrich. He played reasonably well for the Kings at the end of last season, leaving some of their fans wondering why he wasn't pursued this offseason. Apparently this is the answer and regardless he has no fantasy value.

Tue Sep 24 201317:03The Knicks sign FA center Cole Aldrich
The Knicks announced on Tuesday that they have signed FA center Cole Aldrich to a non-guaranteed deal.
Although the Knickerbockers are rather thin up front, Aldrich is no lock to make the team. The 24-year-old big man boasts career averages of 2.0 points, with 2.3 rebounds, over 7.9 minutes in 89 games over three seasons. He is not on the fantasy radar.

Tue Sep 17 201315:12The Knicks working out players for camp
The Knicks worked out Cole Aldrich, Ike Diogu and Josh Powell on Tuesday.
They've also worked out Ricky Davis and Justin Brownlee. Aldrich hasn't done much in his career and played a career-high 11.7 minutes in 15 games last year. Diogu wasn't in the the NBA last year, but he had a nice FIBA outing, averaging 16.6 points per game. The Knicks are more likely to add a big man, but none of these guys will be in the rotation while the Knicks are healthy.

Fri Aug 16 201318:03Cole Aldrich working out for teams
Cole Aldrich is in the processs of working out for NBA teams.
The well is beginning to dry up for free agent big men and Aldrich's time to sign a deal should be near. He won't be more than an end-of-the-bench big in almost any situation, so there's no need to monitor him for fantasy purposes.

Tue Aug 13 201322:09Kings work out C Cole Aldrich
The Kings reportedly worked out free agent center Cole Aldrich recently.
Aldrich played sparingly for the Kings last season after being traded to them, but became an unrestricted free agent over the summer. The Kings have 14 guaranteed contracts and might be looking for a partially guaranteed deal for their 15th and last roster spot. Regardless of where Aldrich lands, he'll have no fantasy value this season.

Tue Apr 16 201300:03Aldrich double-doubles for the hapless Kings
Cole Aldrich followed up his big Sunday night with 12 points on 6-of-6 shooting and 13 rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Thunder.
Aldrich runs to the right spots on the floor and plays hard, which are rarities for a Keith Smart coached team. He's a tough guy to trust not knowing how much he will play on Wednesday, but he's worth a hard look with most of the Kings mailing their season in.

Sun Apr 14 201322:05Cole Aldrich posts career-high 12 pts, 12 reb
Cole Aldrich set numerous career-highs vs. the Rockets on Sunday, scoring 12 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and blocking four shots in 26 minutes.
Aldrich hit 6-of-7 field goals and added one steal for good measure, a performance that gives him some momentum as he heads toward unrestricted free agency. He would be worth a look on Monday if DeMarcus Cousins is suspended for getting 16 technical fouls, but there's a good chance the league will overturn Sunday's tech.

Sun Mar 3 201321:15Cole Aldrich plays seven minutes in SAC debut
Cole Aldrich made his Kings debut on Sunday with two points, three rebounds and one block in seven minutes.
The Kings poured in 42 points to take a commanding lead in the third quarter, after which Aldrich mopped up some meaningless minutes, and there's no reason to think twice about him while DeMarcus Cousins (14 points, nine boards) is healthy.

Tue Feb 26 201312:26Cole Aldrich should join Kings on road trip
Cole Aldrich is expected to join the Kings on the current road trip.
"He's doing his final testing and should be joining us somewhere on this trip," said Kings coach Keith Smart. He'll have to earn his playing time and is not a fantasy asset in any format.

Mon Feb 25 201309:45Cole Aldrich sidelined for more medical tests
Cole Aldrich remains sidelined as the Kings will do further medical testing after acquiring him from the Rockets.
Aldrich will "hopefully" join the Kings in the next couple of days, but that will be dependent on what the tests reveal. He is not a fantasy option in any format.

Wed Feb 20 201321:02Cole Aldrich heads to the Kings
Cole Aldrich was traded to the Kings on Wednesday.
He was taking over as the backup to Omer Asik, but played just 7.5 minutes per game in his last 10 contests. Greg Smith and Donatas Motiejunas figure to be in line to get a handful of more minutes, but there's nothing to see here in the vast majority of leagues. D-Mo is the better pickup in very, very deep leagues.

Mon Feb 11 201308:46Cole Aldrich assumes backup center role
Cole Aldrich has assumed the role of backup center after the demotion of Greg Smith to the D-League.
Aldrich is looking to develop chemistry with the starters, but he's probably just happy not to be rotting on the bench.
