O'Quinn (ankle) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Wizards, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
O'Quinn suffered a sprained ankle Tuesday in New Orleans and did not practice Wednesday. He was also held out of Thursday's shootaround, so the writing may have been on the wall that he would be inactive Thursday. Expect to see more of rookie first-rounder Aaron Gordon in O'Quinn's absence.

O'Quinn (ankle) is a game-time call for Thursday's matchup with the Wizards, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
O'Quinn sprained his ankle in Tuesday's opening night loss to the Pelicans, finishing with four points, five assists and three blocks in 21 minutes. He'll likely be held out of Thursday's shootaround, and a decision on his status probably won't come until just before tip-off. If O'Quinn can't go, expect to see more of rookie Aaron Gordon and either Andrew Nicholson or Mo Harkless, both of whom did not play in the opener.

O'Quinn suffered a sprained ankle during Tuesday's season opener against the Pelicans and is being held out of Wednesday's practice.
O'Quinn finished Tuesday's contest with four points, five assists and three blocks in 21 minutes, but tweaked his ankle along the way. With the Magic allowing him to rest Wednesday, O'Quinn hopes to be ready for Thursday's home opener versus the Wizards.

O'Quinn came off the bench and provided 14 points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-9 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks in 30 minutes during Saturday's preseason loss.
O'Quinn is averaging 10.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 0.6 steals in 24.7 minutes through six preseason games. The absence of Channing Frye thus far has given O'Quinn plenty of minutes to show off his improved shooting, 51 percent from the field and 75 percent from the line, as well as his passing from the center position. He's an interesting player to keep an eye on, but one with questionable minutes on a healthy team.

O'Quinn started at power forward against the Pistons' monstrous frontline. He finished with 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt), seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals before fouling out in 31 minutes.
O'Quinn shocked many when he knocked in both three-point tries. This is a aspect of his game not yet solidified but 3-of-3 from beyond the arc over his last two preseason games should warrant watch list consideration.

O'Quinn will continue to provide generous block numbers throughout the season. Once Channing Frye returns from his sprained MCL, we'll have a better understanding of O'Quinn's minutes.

O'Quinn could see more playing time due to Channing Frye's sprained MCL.
Frye's return date is still undetermined, but he will likely be out for a decent chunk of the Magic's season. In that time O'Quinn could start in Frye's place. The Magic may take this opportunity to thrust talented rookie Aaron Gordon into the starting lineup, but O'Quinn will still see significantly more minutes in any case.
Mon Apr 14 201423:02O'Quinn scores 20 points with seven boards
Kyle O'Quinn scored 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting with seven rebounds and one block in Monday's loss to the Bulls.
O'Quinn has been great for the last two months and should be in all lineups. Victor Oladipo continued to play limited minutes (23) with 10 points, three rebounds, four assists, a steal and a three, and Dewayne Dedmon supplied some big-man stats with six points, nine boards and two blocks in 28 minutes.

Fri Apr 11 201422:16Kyle O'Quinn keeps putting up nice numbers
Kyle O'Quinn played well in his 25 minutes of action on Friday during a 96-86 loss to the Wizards, scoring 13 points with nine boards, one assist and three blocks.
He shot 6-of-9 from the field, but just 1-of-4 from the line. O'Quinn has been solid since Nikola Vuecvic went down and he's hit double-figure scoring in each of those four. He's a solid option in fantasy leagues thanks to 17 blocks in his last five games.

Sun Mar 30 201420:34Kyle O'Quinn goes scoreless in 15 minutes
Magic big man Kyle O'Quinn struggled in a scoreless performance on Sunday, missing his two shot attempts while grabbing three rebounds in 15 minutes.
O'Quinn's offense is a secondary concern for the Magic, and he's still been helping fantasy owners with 7.7 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 1.8 blocks per game in March. Dewayne Dedmon played well in 15 minutes off the bench tonight and it's worth keeping an eye on Orlando's frontcourt rotations, but O'Quinn should maintain his 20-25 minute role for the final eight games of the season.

Fri Mar 28 201410:50Kyle O'Quinn to start again vs. Bobcats Fri
Kyle O'Quinn will start at PF for the Magic when they take on the Bobcats Friday.
This will be O'Quinn's 10th consecutive start at PF and while the results have been unspectacular, the 24-year-old can provide some fantasy value as a starter. O'Quinn is averaging 8.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.9 blocks in 22.5 minutes per game over his last 10 contests and should be looked at as a solid start with a low ceiling in medium-to-deep leagues.

Wed Mar 12 201421:55Kyle O'Quinn playing well in starting unit
Kyle O'Quinn received his third start in a row on Wednesday with 10 points, eight boards, one assist and two blocks in 27 minutes.
It's not a line that will be the lede of your fantasy team's recap, but O'Quinn shot 5-of-8 from the field and has been very solid since Glen Davis has departed. He's a solid low-upside player in standard leagues and his 1.5 blocks per game over his previous 11 could be on the rise, as well.

Wed Mar 12 201417:28Kyle O'Quinn, Maurice Harkless starting again
Kyle O'Quinn and Moe Harkless are starting against the Nuggets on Wednesday.
The pair will join Jameer Nelson, Arron Afflalo and Nikola Vucevic in the starting lineup against the Nuggets. Victor Oladipo is healthy, but going with a bigger lineup makes sense against the weak interior defense of the Nuggets. O'Quinn is a decent play for those seeking big-man stats. while Harkless could be a hit-or-miss guy.

Tue Mar 11 201400:42O'Quinn does his thing in 20 minutes vs. MIL
Kyle O'Quinn started for the second straight game in Monday's loss to the Bucks, scoring 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting with seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 20 minutes.
O'Quinn does some variation of this every night whether he's starting or coming off the bench and it all adds up to late-round value, meaning he should be owned in most if not all 12-team formats.

Mon Mar 10 201419:25O'Quinn to start on Monday vs. Bucks
Kyle O'Quinn will make his second straight start against the Bucks on Monday.
O'Quinn has been a late-round value for the past month despite his 20-25 minute workload on most nights and should be owned in most 12-team formats.

Sat Mar 8 201418:05Kyle O'Quinn to start for Magic on Saturday
Kyle O'Quinn will start alongside Nikola Vucevic on Saturday, as the Magic try to match up with the Spurs.
Beat writer John Denton reports that Tobias Harris will likely shift to the bench with Moe Harkless staying at SF. Keep in mind that Jameer Nelson (illness) is returning to action for Orlando, but Victor Oladipo (ankle) will once again be sidelined. O'Quinn is averaging 8.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.2 steals in just 18 minutes per game over his last five, and he should provide solid plug-and-play value as a temporary starter.

Wed Mar 5 201421:53Kyle O'Quinn hits 4-of-13 shots in loss
Kyle O'Quinn hit just 4-of-13 shots for eight points, eight rebounds, a steal and three blocks in just 16 minutes on Wednesday.
He made the most of his time tonight, but his line would have been much more exciting had his shot been working. He's worth owning in deeper leagues given his strong play off the bench over the last few weeks.

Sat Mar 1 201422:26Kyle O'Quinn has big double-double in loss
Kyle O'Quinn came off the bench for 14 points, a career-high 15 rebounds, two steals and a block on 6-of-10 shooting in Saturday's loss to the Heat.
O'Quinn has been seeing nice minutes off the bench and played one of his best games against the centerless Heat tonight. Not only were his 15 rebounds a career high, but this marks his first double-double of the season, and just the second time he's hit double figures in rebounding all year. If you had him in your lineup tonight, don't expect a repeat performance on Sunday, although anything is possible against the hapless Sixers.
