Fri May 2 201422:29Moore homers Friday against Phillies
Tyler Moore went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored on Friday against the Phillies.
It was his second home run of the season. Moore is quite strikeout prone, but he could see at-bats against southpaws while Bryce Harper (thumb) is on the disabled list. Still, that doesn't leave much room for fantasy value, even in NL-only leagues.

Mon Apr 14 201423:08Tyler Moore goes 3-for-5, homers
Tyler Moore went 3-for-5 and hit his first homer Monday against the Marlins.
Moore was getting a start at first base in place of Adam LaRoche tonight. That won't happen very frequently, but maybe the Nationals will give him a couple of starts in left while the outfield is banged up. That would give him a little short-term value in NL-only leagues, but probably only a little.

Tue Mar 25 201417:33Nationals option Moore, others to AAA level
Nationals optioned OF Tyler Moore, LHP Xavier Cedeno, and RHP Ryan Mattheus to Triple-A Syracuse.
No real surprises among this round of cuts. Moore did not hit well this spring and registered a weak .607 OPS in 178 plate appearances last summer for the Nationals. He'll be organizational depth this season. Cedeno and Mattheus didn't make the grade for the Opening Day bullpen but should get action this year in the bigs.

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports believes that the Astros could have interest in acquiring Tyler Moore from the Nationals.
The 26-year-old appeared in 63 games with the Nats in 2013, slashing a mere .222/.260/.347 with four homers and 21 RBI. He has familiarity with Astros skipper Bo Porter from his time in Washington however, and the ability to play first base as well as either corner outfield position.

Getting a rare start at first base, Tyler Moore went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI against the Marlins on Monday.
It was Moore's first start of the year, which is still one more than Roger Bernadina has. Both projected to be among the NL's top bench players, but the Nationals have little for either to do unless someone gets hurt.

Sun Mar 17 201317:23Tyler Moore homers twice in Nationals' win
Tyler Moore hit a pair of homers Sunday in the Nationals' 12-10 defeat of the Tigers.
Teams in search of a bat may check into Moore's availability over these next couple of weeks. The Nationals don't have much of a role for him after re-signing Adam LaRoche, but he would offer quite a bit of pop as a starter against left-handers and occasional fill-in versus righties.

Tyler Moore laced a go-ahead pinch-hit two-run single in Sunday's 3-2 NLDS Game 1 victory over the Cardinals.
Moore took an outside pitch from Cards reliever Marc Rzepczynski and shot it into shallow right field, driving in Michael Morse and Ian Desmond to put the Nationals up 3-2 in the top of the eighth inning. And that score would hold. The Nats will try to take a 2-0 lead in the five-game series on Monday afternoon at Busch Stadium.

Moore has received very sporadic playing time over the second half of the season, recording just 27 at-bats in the month of August. While he remains an injury away from being a possible contributor in fantasy leagues, the 25-year-old is doing a decent job with his opportunities, hitting .278 with seven homers, 21 RBI and three steals in 126 at-bats on the season.

Wed Jun 13 201215:39Tyler Moore homers twice in Nationals' win
Tyler Moore hit a pair of homers and drove in five runs to lead the Nationals to a 6-2 win over the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
Moore made his first start at first base today with Adam LaRoche ailing. The Nationals figure to start giving him more time in left field in the coming days. Moore probably won't turn into a long-term regular for the club, but he does have legitimate power and he'll likely prove to be an offensive upgrade on Steve Lombardozzi.

Thu Apr 19 201220:58Moore to split time between left and first
Nationals' prospect Tyler Moore will begin splitting time between left field and first base.
Moore has exclusively played first base during his professional career, but the Nationals want to increase his versatility. The 25-year-old has slugged 31 homers in each of the past two seasons and is batting .260 with five homers and 11 RBI over his first 13 games with Triple-A Syracuse this year. He could potentially be an option at the major league level if Mike Morse fails to make progress with his lat injury.
