Neither player has been particularly effective, and the Cavs' bench has been especially disappointing, so Blatt may look to tweak the lineup in an effort to find the right balance.

Miller hit his first 3-pointer since joining the Cavs Friday in the win over Denver. He finished with three points (1-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt), a rebound and an assist in 15 minutes.

Since the opener (in which he played just three minutes), Miller has played at least 12 minutes in each. He has not made much of an impression in his reserve minutes and has just five points on the season. The veteran small forward could have a big game here or there, but will not provide more than minimal fantasy contributions in most games.

Miller will receive regular time off during training camp since new coach David Blatt intends on limiting his veterans' workload in the preseason, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Miller isn't dealing with any serious injuries but he and fellow veteran LeBron James did not participate in practice Friday morning. Miller is coming off a surprisingly healthy season as he was able to compete in all 82 games for Memphis last year. The rest he's receiving from Blatt should help in the efforts for duplicating that healthy streak during the 34-year-old's 2014-15 campaign.
