Mon Jan 20 201413:48Prigioni to start, Bargnani to bench on Mon.
Pablo Prigioni will join Raymond Felton, Iman Shumpert, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler in Monday's starting lineup.
Coach Mike Woodson has hinted at this lineup quite a bit this season and it's official now. The Knicks will still bring Andrea Bargnani off the bench a little earlier that usual, so this move doesn't hurt his value too much. The Knicks will mix and match their way with starting lineups until their team is healthy again. Prigioni is only on the radar in deep leagues.

Sun Jan 19 201418:52Prigioni might start vs. the Nets Monday
Pablo Prigioni (toe) could start against the Nets on Monday in his return from injury.
"I haven't made that decision on which way to go,'' coach Mike Woodson said after Sunday's practice. "I'm going to sleep on it and make a decision tomorrow." The move would bump the struggling Iman Shumpert to the bench and the Knicks would go to a two-point guard lineup. The Knicks have some solid offensive and defensive splits with Prigioni on the court vs. when he's off, so it's not a bad idea to give him more burn. He's still only on the radar in deep leagues.

Thu Jan 16 201417:54Pablo Prigioni (toe) out Thursday & Friday
Pablo Prigioni (toe) will not play on Thursday or Friday.
He warmed up prior to Friday's game and is now targeting a return on Monday, but even that isn't guaranteed. His return is bad news for guards like Beno Udrih and J.R. Smith, whose roles are already on thin ice.

Thu Jan 16 201413:18Pablo Pirgioni getting closer to returning
Pablo Prigioni (foot) is hoping to return to action either Thursday or Friday.
Prigioni remarked, "I don't know if it's tonight or tomorrow but I'm happy how I feel now." While Thursday's game is a hope for Prigioni, he is not expected to play against the Pacers, making Friday's game against the Clippers more likely for his return. Prigioni's fantasy value will be low as long as Raymond Felton is healthy, but his return should cut into any remaining value that Beno Udrih and Toure Murray had left.

Sat Jan 11 201419:09Pablo Prigioni doing some running
Pablo Prigioni said his toe/foot felt "good" after a run on Saturday morning.
He is going to try and run again on Sunday and the Knicks will go from there. Prigioni is an unheralded player for the Knicks and they play some good ball when he's on the court. As for fantasy, his value isn't going to be great while Raymond Felton is healthy.

Thu Jan 9 201418:34Prigioni (toe) out at least one more week
Pablo Prigioni (toe) will miss at least another week, according to coach Mike Woodson.
Woodson also said that Prigioni could be out "another couple of weeks" even though his initial timetable only had him out a few weeks. Owners should consider the veteran PG out indefinitely.

Tue Dec 31 201313:12Pablo Prigioni will miss Knicks' 3-game trip
Pablo Prigioni will miss the Knicks' three-game Texas road trip.
The Knicks first game after their Texas trip is on January 7th against the Pistons, so Prigioni will be out of the lineup until at least then. With Raymond Felton also missing the road trip, Beno Udrih and Toure' Murry will take turns manning the point and frustrating fantasy owners who are trying to milk value out of this situation.

Mon Dec 30 201313:30Felton (groin) unlikely to play Thursday
Mike Woodson doesn't expect Raymond Felton (groin) to play vs. the Spurs on Thursday.
Beno Udrih and Toure' Murry are holding down the PG position with Felton and Pablo Prigioni (toe) sidelined, and both injured guards remain iffy to play at San Antonio.

Thu Dec 26 201313:12Pablo Prigioni back shooting FTs at practice
Pablo Prigioni (broken foot) was back at Knicks practice shooting free throws on Thursday.
Prigioni is hoping to return in about a week, but it's a good sign to see that he's able to stand and shoot free throws at this point. Beno Udrih has been an inconsistent point guard option with Prigioni and Raymond Felton injured, so Prigioni should slide back into a starting role as long as he gets healthy before Felton. However, starting role or not, Prigioni isn't much of a fantasy option in anything but he deepest of leagues.

Mon Dec 16 201321:23Pablo Prigioni fractures his right big toe
Pablo Prigioni suffered a hairline fracture to his right big toe in Monday's game against the Wizards.
He is expected to be out at least two weeks and is not expected to undergo surgery. This is a huge blow to the Knicks and they were already without Raymond Felton (hamstring). Beno Udrih makes sense as a pickup for any owner needing a point guard on a short-term basis. Although, he won't have the ball in his hands too much while Carmelo Anthony is around. Meanwhile, the New York media will be all over trade rumors for players like Kyle Lowry. Prigioni finished with no points, three assists and two steals in 18 minutes.

Mon Dec 16 201321:04Pablo Prigioni suffers apparent foot injury
Pablo Prigioni suffered an apparent foot injury in the third quarter of Monday's game against the Wizards and went to the locker room.
He walked to the locker room under his own power and we'll pass along the official update from the team as it becomes available. Beno Udrih would be a decent speculative add with the Knicks running out of point guards.

Sat Dec 14 201323:21Pablo Prigioni scores season-high 11 in win
Pablo Prigioni made another start at point guard Saturday and hit 4-of-8 shots for a season-high 11 points to go along with six assists, four steals and three 3-pointers.
Raymond Felton's going to miss at least a couple more weeks with his injury, and while Prigioni isn't likely to score a lot of points for the Knicks, he could be a sneaky point guard to add off waivers if the free agent talent level is thin in your league.

Fri Dec 13 201323:55Pablo Prigioni quiet in another start
Pablo Prigioni made another start at point guard for the Knicks Friday and had five points, four rebounds and eight assists on 1-of-6 shooting.
His one make was a 3-pointer and he could continue to start until Raymond Felton returns in a few weeks from his hamstring injury. He played a whopping 39 minutes and his line would have looked a lot better had he made some shots. We're not sure what Mike Woodson's problem is with Beno Udrih, but he played just nine minutes with two points, so Prigioni is still the guy to think about grabbing here.

Mon Nov 11 201313:07Prigioni, Amare take 'recovery day' on Monday
Pablo Prigioni and Amare Stoudemire sat out Monday's practice as a "recovery day."
This is nothing new for Amare, while the 36-year-old Prigioni is simply taking a breather after averaging 20 minutes during a busy week for New York.

Thu Nov 7 201312:44Pablo Prigioni likely to start for Knicks Fri
Pablo Prigioni is likely to start for the Knicks when they face Charlotte on Friday.
Tyson Chandler's surgery has caused major ripple effects in the Knicks rotation as Iman Shumpert moves to small forward, Andrea Bargnani moves to center, and Beno Udrih enters the fray. Prigioni should see a bump to the 21.8 minutes he's averaging as he moves into the starting lineup and could be an interesting option in deeper leagues or in daily games on FanDuel.

Wed Oct 30 201323:33Pablo Prigioni starts for Knicks
Pablo Prigioni played through an illness and was in the starting lineup for the Knicks on Wednesday, finishing with seven points, three rebounds, five assists, three steals and a 3-pointer on 3-of-3 shooting.
The Knicks went small tonight against the Bucks, so both Andrea Bargnani and Metta World Peace surprisingly came off the bench. Prigioni is worth keeping an eye on, but it looks like Mike Woodson isn't going to play the same five guys every night at this point.

Mon Oct 21 201312:17Pablo Prigioni (illness, elbow) iffy for Mon.
Pablo Prigioni is questionable for Monday's game due to illness.
The ailment is minor but it leaves New York with precious few healthy guards, and they'll start Beno Udrih and Tim Hardaway Jr. in the backcourt. Prigioni, who already had a sprained non-shooting elbow, is considered day-to-day.

Thu Oct 17 201320:52Pablo Prigioni out with sprained left elbow
Pablo Prigioni suffered a sprained left elbow in Thursday's game and will not return.
The Knicks are not having a good night in Baltimore. Iman Shumpert also suffered a sprained elbow tonight and the Knicks could be extremely thin in the backcourt with J.R. Smith suspended for the first five games of the year while also recovering from knee surgery. The signing of Beno Udrih looks pretty good right now.

Wed Oct 9 201311:58Pablo Prigioni to start at SG on Wednesday
Pablo Prigioni will start at SG alongside Raymond Felton for Wednesday's exhibition.
Mike Woodson said he wants a 'big' player alongside Felton, and Iman Shumpert is the favorite to land the job, but Shump has been limited by minor injuries and hasn't had enough practice time to jump in at SG. Prigioni made an almost seamless transition to the NBA last year, posting solid per-minute 3-pointers, assists and steals, but he's not a fantasy option in average leagues.

Sun Jul 28 201309:17Prigioni working out, eager for bigger role
Pablo Prigioni acknowledged that he is "not a big talent physically" and needs to work on his physique this summer.
Prigioni shot 39.6 percent from downtown last year and he expects to be more effective now that he's familiar with the NBA and the Knicks' system. He's also a 36-year-old with over a decade of professional experience, so we're not anticipating a radical improvement over last season's 3.5 points and 3.0 assists per game.
