Thu Jul 4 2013 | 12:48 | Pablo Prigioni will return to the Knicks |
Pablo Prigioni agreed to a deal with the Knicks on Thursday. |
He was "close" to signing a two-year deal in the $2.3 million range last night and it's safe to assume the deal will be in that ballpark. The Knicks likely only have one million left on their exception, so they'll be stuck with signing players at the minimum to remain under the cap. Prigioni will come off the bench to spell Raymond Felton. |

Thu Jul 4 2013 | 08:45 | Knicks, Prigioni are close on a two-year deal |
Pablo Prigioni is close to signing a two-year deal with the Knicks. |
He received a two-year deal in the $2.3 million range as part of the mid-level exception, according to the report. That means $1.15 million of the MLE and the Knicks wouldn't really have any wiggle room to sign anyone else -- like Chris Copeland. Prigioni was solid in his rookie season and projects to be the backup once again. He's not worth drafting in fantasy leagues even with Jason Kidd now coaching. |

Wed Jul 3 2013 | 16:43 | Report: Prigioni aims for Knicks deal 'soon' |
Pablo Prigioni told a friend Wednesday he hopes to reach a deal with the Knicks "real soon," according to the New York Daily News. |
An Argentinian website reported the Knicks have offered Prigioni a two-year deal worth between the veteran's minimum and a portion of the mini-mid-level exception. Prigioni has gone on record as saying he wants to return to the Knicks, even saying he missed New York the day after the Knicks tendered him a qualifying offer. |

Wed Jul 3 2013 | 09:13 | Report: Knicks offer Prigioni two-year deal |
The Knicks have offered Pablo Prigioni a two-year contract, according to the Argentinian website PickandRoll.com.ar. |
The Knicks made Prigioni a restricted free agent by giving him a qualifying option worth $989k, and one day later he said, "I would like to go back to New York. I miss New York." Assuming he accepts the offer, it is expected to be worth either the veteran's minimum or a portion of the mini-mid-level exception. |

Wed Jun 26 2013 | 18:36 | Knicks extend qualifying offer to Prigioni |
The Knicks extended a qualifying offer to Pablo Prigioni. |
The Knicks have ensured Prigioni will be a restricted free agent July 1. While that doesn't guarantee he'll stay with the Knicks, it certainly gives them a better chance at retaining him. The Argentine-born point guard is expected to seek a deal in the one-year, $2 million range. |

Wed May 22 2013 | 13:07 | Pablo Prigioni wants to remain in the NBA |
Pablo Prigioni confirmed that he'd like to remain in the NBA next season, but his future with the Knicks is unclear. |
"If I can choose, I prefer to play in the United States and stay in the NBA,'' Prigioni said on Argentine radio. The Knicks would have to use part of their $3.1 million mid-level exception to pay Prigioni, and there's a very real possibility he'll sign elsewhere. The Spurs are rumored to have some interest. |

Mon May 20 2013 | 08:20 | Report: Prigioni's wife wants to go to Europe |
Pablo Prigoni's wife wants to return to Europe before next season, a source told the New York Post. |
Prigioni hasn't been clear on his plans beyond his rookie season with the Knicks, and the point guard turned down a two-year deal from New York prior to the season to have flexibility. He could stay in the NBA or return to Europe, but even if he does stay stateside it's not a lock he'll return to the Knicks after proving his worth this season. |

Fri May 17 2013 | 09:38 | Report: Spurs could make run for Prigioni |
The Spurs could make a run at Pablo Prigioni in free agency during the offseason, according to the New York Daily News. |
Prigioni is known to be close with Manu Ginobili, and the rookie passed up a two-year deal from the Knicks in order to take a one-year deal and keep his options open. It doesn't sound like anything more than chatter for now, but it's a reminder Prigioni could spend just one season with the Knicks. |

Thu May 16 2013 | 18:37 | Pablo Prigioni will start Thursday's Game 5 |
Pablo Prigioni is listed as a starter ahead of Thursday's Game 5. |
Coach Mike Woodson came to his senses after starting Kenyon Martin in Game 4 and playing Prigioni just over three minutes in the loss. Prigioni and Raymond Felton should benefit greatly from the absence of Pacers PG George Hill, who won't play Thursday night due to a concussion he suffered in Game 4. The Knicks trail the Pacers 3-1 in the series. |

Thu May 16 2013 | 09:45 | Knicks likely to use small-ball for Game 5 |
The Knicks are expected to return to a small-ball lineup for Game 5 that features Pablo Prigioni instead of Kenyon Martin. |
In Game 4, the Knicks started Martin over Prigioni to go "big," but the experiment failed. After playing just 3.5 minutes in Game 4, expect Prigioni to play a lot more in Game 5 as the Knicks have their backs against the wall. |

Wed May 15 2013 | 13:25 | Woodson: We're considering Prigioni lineup |
Mike Woodson admitted he's considering going back to the starting lineup that features Pablo Prigioni for Game 5 vs. the Pacers. |
Prigioni played just 3.5 minutes in a Game 4 loss and Mike Woodson's attempt to go big failed miserably. Woodson should stick with the lineup that proved successful during the regular season, so we wouldn't be surprised to see him go back to Prigioni in place of Kenyon Martin in a must-win Game 5. |

Tue May 14 2013 | 18:17 | Pablo Prigioni coming off the bench |
The Knicks have replaced Pablo Prigioni with Kenyon Martin in the starting lineup for Tuesday's Game 4. |
Coach Mike Woodson will start Raymond Felton, Iman Shumpert, Carmelo Anthony, Martin and Tyson Chandler for the first time in these playoffs. Perhaps it's a bit of a panic move, but it will keep the Knicks bigger and better defensively. It will also keep Anthony from banging with David West. They still have Amare Stoudemire as a big off the bench. |

Since he joined the starting five in mid-March, the Knicks are 21-5 (including playoffs). |

Pablo Prigioni (ankle) will start in Tuesday's game 2 vs. Boston barring any setbacks. |
This is confirmation of what we knew. Prigioni practiced in full on Monday with the starting group, and unless something completely unexpected happens between now and tipoff with his ankle, he'll be back in the starting lineup. Rookie Chris Copeland, who is nursing a shoulder injury, will move back to the bench. |

Sun Apr 21 2013 | 08:56 | Woodson expects Pablo Prigioni for Game 2 |
Mike Woodson expects Pablo Prigioni (ankle) to play in Game 2 vs. Boston. |
Prigioni missed Saturday's initial game vs. the Celtics because of the ankle injury, but it doesn't sound overly serious. If the rookie point guard is healthy enough to play, he's expected to start and that means Chris Copeland will move back to the bench. |

Sat Apr 20 2013 | 13:41 | Pablo Prigioni inactive Saturday vs. Celtics |
Pablo Prigioni (ankle) is inactive for Saturday's Game 1 against the Celtics. |
The move was expected, but Mike Woodson said Prigioni is moving around well and he could've played if it was necessary. Woodson said he feels good about Prigioni's chances to play in Game 2, which isn't until Tuesday. Chris Copeland will start in Prigioni's place Saturday afternoon. |
