Tue Mar 20 201222:02Leandro Barbosa scores 12 in Pacers debut
Leandro Barbosa made his Pacers debut Tuesday and hit 5-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 12 points and three assists in 18 minutes of an an easy win over the Clippers.
Barbosa should get closer to 25 minutes per game once he's entrenched in the lineup, which could become problematic for Paul George. George played 24 minutes tonight to finish with six points and seven rebounds, but let's see how this plays out before panicking.

Sat Mar 17 201219:19Leandro Barbosa to make Indy debut Tuesday
Leandro Barbosa will make his Pacers debut on Tuesday.
Barbosa will have an "orientation" with Pacers coaches on Sunday, he will practice on Monday, and he'll join the rotation for Tuesday's game vs. the Clippers. His fantasy value is capped by his role off the bench as a backup SG.

Fri Mar 16 201207:33Leandro Barbosa to come off bench for Pacers
Larry Bird confirmed that newly acquired Leandro Barbosa will come off the bench, but he will not play on Friday against the Knicks.
"I think we need a little boost on our second unit to make things happen," Bird said. The earliest Barbosa could play is Saturday, and Frank Vogel is excited about Barbosa's addition to the rotation. Barbosa's hit will likely take a slight hit with the Pacers, but it's a situation worth monitoring closely.

Thu Mar 15 201211:11Report: Pacers set to acquire Leandro Barbosa
Yahoo! is reporting that the Pacers are set to acquire G Leandro Barbosa from the Raptors, and the Star's Mike Wells adds that it's for a second-round pick.
The Pacers already have a logjam brewing at point guard between Darren Collison and George Hill, while Paul George should be locked into all the minutes he can handle at shooting guard, as the future of the franchise. Barbosa's value takes a hit in Indy, while guys like DeMar DeRozan and Linas Kleiza should see more touches in Toronto. Perhaps the biggest impact here is that it likely means the Pacers will no longer be making a run at Chris Kaman.

Wed Mar 14 201201:06Barbosa scores 17 points off the bench
Leandro Barbosa scored 17 points off the bench on Tuesday, hitting 7-of-14 shots from the field (including three treys) with one rebound, one assist, one steal, and one block in 25 minutes.
As long as Jose Calderon (ankle) is out, then Barbosa will be worth a look for performances like these. He has been fairly inconsistent this season, though, so owners will want to weigh their options carefully.

Tue Mar 6 201200:40Barbosa scores eight points on Monday
Leandro Barbosa scored eight points off the bench on Monday, hitting 2-of-6 shots from the field (including two threes) with one rebound and one assist in 18 minutes.
Barbosa scored 18 points on Sunday and has been scoring at a somewhat respectable clip, averaging 13.7 points and 1.5 threes in his last six games. He's worth a look as a desperation option in 12-14 team formats.

Sun Mar 4 201220:42Leandro Barbosa scores 18 pts off bench
Leandro Barbosa scored 18 points off Toronto's bench on Sunday, making 7-of-16 FGs with three 3-pointers, one assist and one steal in 32 minutes.
This was LB's highest scoring total since February 3rd, but he's reached double-digits in six consecutive games. You can certainly do worse if you're in the market for points and a handful of 3-pointers and steals.

Wed Feb 29 201223:25Barbosa scores 15 points amid trade rumors
Leandro Barbosa, who is reportedly on the trade block, scored 15 points on Wednesday night to go along with two rebounds and three assists.
Barbosa is back on the fantasy radar, although we would still prefer to see his minutes increase (he played 22 tonight). Still, tonight marked the fourth consecutive game that he has scored in double figures. It's hard to imagine his fantasy appeal not improving if he was moved before the trade deadline, but owners will have to wait and see if that happens.

Sat Feb 25 201210:12Barbosa drawing trade interest for Raptors
Leandro Barbosa is eliciting "all kinds of interest" on the trade market, according to Doug Smith, but there is no indication that the Raptors want to trade him.
Barbosa's capable play is only part of his appeal, as he also has an expiring contract that would interest most teams. File this away but don't expect anything to come of it.

Wed Feb 22 201223:03Barbosa scores 17 in win
Leandro Barbosa had 17 points, two rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block on 7-of-14 shooting in Wednesday's win.
He's scored in double figures in four of his last five games and has played very well in two straight, logging more than 20 minutes in both of them. We'd like to see him get up to 25 minutes per game before recommending him for fantasy lineups, but he should at least be back on fantasy radar at this point.

Wed Feb 15 201222:59Leandro Barbosa quiet on Wednesday
Leandro Barbosa scored seven points in just 16 minutes of action on Wednesday, although he did chip in two rebounds, two assists and a three-pointer.
The fact that Barbosa only played 16 minutes even though the Raptors were without Jerryd Bayless (ankle) and Linas Kleiza (knee) is very concerning. Even Anthony Carter received more minutes than Barbosa tonight. His playing time continues to fluctuate, and as a result, so do his stats. He can have a big game at any time, but it's almost impossible to predict when that will be.

Wed Feb 8 201223:27Barbosa could be ready to fill in for Bayless
Leandro Barbosa had 11 points and a 3-pointer in 14 minutes on Wednesday, but could be ready to see a boost in minutes if Jerryd Bayless' ankle injury causes him to miss time.
Bayless went down tonight with another ankle injury and could miss time with the injury. If that's the case, Barbosa should go on another run in his absence.

Tue Feb 7 201201:10Barbosa scores two points against Wizards
Leandro Barbosa went hitless on four shot attempts on Monday, scoring two points on free throws with one assist and two steals in 10 minutes off the bench.
Barbosa's once-stable role has been compromised by Dwane Casey's lineup machinations. He can be dropped for a hot free agent, but don't be surprised if he puts up 20 points in his next contest.

Sat Feb 4 201201:16Barbosa (flu) plays and scores 19 points
Leandro Barbosa (flu) played on Friday and scored 19 points on 8-of-17 shooting (no threes) with two rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in 28 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Barbosa is always a good bet to score when Andrea Bargnani (calf) is out, and the extra defensive stats make up for the lack of threes tonight. There is some risk that he will be jumbled around while Dwane Casey messes with the rotation, but on the whole he is a relatively stable play right now. He should be owned in most 12-team leagues right now.

Fri Feb 3 201217:54Barbosa to play on Friday for Raptors
Leandro Barbosa (flu) has been cleared to play on Friday night for the Raptors.
Barbosa has been instant-offense this year averaging 12.6 ppg off the bench, but has struggled recently with head coach Dwane Casey's lineup rotations. He makes for an interesting flier with his ability to light it up in a hurry and the minutes up for grabs right now in Toronto.

Tue Jan 31 201222:00Barbosa quiet in return from ankle injury
Leandro Barbosa returned from a sprained ankle but played 17 minutes and scored four points on 2-of-8 shooting in Tuesday's loss to the Hawks.
Barbosa is fine, but with all the changes and uncertainty with the Raptors lineup and rotations, it might take Barbosa a few games to get back into a groove. And if the Jerryd Bayless at SG experiment fails, Barbosa could be the recipient of more minutes and a potential starting role.

Tue Jan 31 201218:09Leandro Barbosa ready to go for Raps
Leandro Barbosa (ankle) will play against the Hawks Tuesday.
Barbosa's sore ankle was never a major concern. He should be good for his usual 24-28 minutes as a pure scorer off the bench.

Tue Jan 31 201214:59Leandro Barbosa a game-time call
Leandro Barbosa (ankle) is listed as a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.
Barbosa previously stated that he expects to play. If he does, he'll cut into the minutes of Jerryd Bayless and DeMar DeRozan. Raptors coach Dwane Casey said he still hasn't decided on a starting five for tonight.

Mon Jan 30 201213:37Leandro Barbosa expects to play Tuesday
Leandro Barbosa (ankle) expects to return for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.
Barbosa's left ankle is merely considered "sore." In his last 10 games, Barbosa was averaging 17.4 points in 27.0 minutes per night. If healthy, he'll continue to get plenty of shots up with Andrea Bargnani (calf) out indefinitely.
