Fri Feb 25 201123:05Barbosa slowly heating up for fantasy owners
Leandro Barbosa continued his slow ascent back to fantasy usefulness on Friday, scoring 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting (including a three) with one rebound and two assists in 26 minutes.
It was a garbage time game against the defenseless Suns, but it's another step in the right direction. He's probably not worth owning in standard leagues just yet, but that doesn't mean owners can't take a flier on him. When he gets it going he has shown this season that he can produce.
Wed Feb 23 201123:37Barbosa scores 13 points in 21 minutes
Leandro Barbosa hit 6-of-8 shots for 13 points, three boards and two assists in just 21 minutes on Wednesday.
He's not worth owning, but if he continues to shoot it well could get more opportunity. Keep an eye on him, but he needs to be getting 25 minutes per game if he's going to have fantasy value.
Tue Feb 22 201121:58Barbosa not getting it together so far
Leandro Barbosa played just 18 minutes in Tuesday's blowout, scoring four points on 2-of-6 shooting with one rebound and no other statistics.
A once capable fantasy asset this year, he has failed to do much since returning from his hamstring injury. Yes, the Raps were in a blowout loss, but Barbosa is running out of excuses before we assume his injury is lingering or it's simple ineffectiveness.
Sun Feb 13 201121:10Barbosa scores 11 pts despite hamstring
Leandro Barbosa played 24 minutes on Sunday despite his nagging hamstring injury, scoring 11 points with zero assists and three turnovers.
Barbosa isn't much of a playmaker, so the zero assists aren't shocking, but we need to see his minutes increase before confidently suggesting him as a pick-up. The instant-offense SG shot 3-of-9 from the field with one 3-pointer.
Sun Feb 13 201117:10Barbosa to play through hamstring injury
Leandro Barbosa will be a surprise play in Sunday's game against Detroit despite speculation that his ailing hamstring would keep him shelved.
You could roll the dice and hope for a good game from Barbosa. His hamstring issues have led owners on a roller coaster lately and there's no telling what kind of game you will see from him.

Leandro Barbosa is unlikely to play in Sunday's game due to his nagging hamstring injury.
Barbosa seemed on pace for a smooth return before shooting just 2-of-8 in 20 minutes on Friday. It's possible that he aggravated the injury or just didn't feel totally comfortable, but either way he shouldn't be in any fantasy lineups until further notice.

Sat Feb 12 201100:30Barbosa goes cold in loss to Blazers
Leandro Barbosa went cold in Friday's game, hitting just 2-of-8 shots from the field (no threes) with one rebound and three assists in 20 minutes off the bench.
This is surely a step back, but we'd like to exercise some patience here in his third game back. He proved his consistency earlier in the year, and has one less player to deal with due to Linas Kleiza's injury. That said, he is not a must-own player at this time.
Wed Feb 9 201123:47Barbosa scores 20 points in loss
Leandro Barbosa hit 7-of-16 shots and a 3-pointer for 20 points in Wednesday's loss.
He's getting healthy again and should continue to play well, so give him a look if you need a shooting guard. He missed a few weeks with a hamstring injury, but looked good tonight. DeMar DeRozan stayed hot with 25 points, four boards and four assists, while Andrea Bargnani did his best Brook Lopez impersonation with 29 points and just two rebounds.
Wed Feb 9 201101:29Leandro Barbosa returned to action on Tuesday February 8
Leandro Barbosa returned to action on Tuesday February 8.
Tue Feb 8 201112:08Barbosa expected to play Tuesday
Coach Jay Triano expects Leandro Barbosa (hamstring) to play against the Bucks Tuesday night.
Barbosa has missed 12 straight games with his hamstring pull, making it unlikely that he's ready for a full complement of minutes right out of the gate. However, with the Raptors' nursing a litany of injuries, Barbosa is a good bet to get 25-28 minutes nightly once at full strength. He's averaging 1.3 treys and 1.1 steals a game on the season.

Mon Feb 7 201113:53Barbosa will travel for Tuesday's game
Leandro Barbosa (hamstring) will travel with the Raptors for Tuesday's game in Milwaukee.
Whether Barbosa plays (and if so, how much) is another question entirely, and fantasy owners should look for safer options before plugging LB into active lineups. He hasn't played since mid-January.

Fri Feb 4 201118:34Barbosa out again w/ sore hamstring
Leandro Barbosa (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. Minnesota.
Barbosa hasn't played since January 15th and hamstring injuries are easy to aggravate, so the Raptors are playing it safe. He should have a solid role once he's ready to play, which could be as soon as Tuesday at Milwaukee.

Fri Feb 4 201112:45Barbosa game-time w/ hamstring injury
Leandro Barbosa (hamstring) remains a game-time decision for Friday's game vs. the Wolves.
The last report we heard had Barbosa "expected to play" so the odds seem to be leaning in his favor. Fantasy owners should probably wait before deploying him, but he's an intriguing pickup with Jerryd Bayless hobbled and Linas Kleiza done for the season.

Thu Feb 3 201115:41Barbosa expected to return Friday
Leandro Barbosa (hamstring) is expected to return for Friday night's game against the Wolves.
Barbosa has missed 11 straight games, meaning we'd expect him to be eased in slowly. But with Jerryd Bayless (knee) questionable, Barbosa may be asked to play significant minutes. The Brazilian Blur was playing about 25-27 minutes off the bench before pulling his hammy.

Thu Jan 27 201116:04Barbosa not close to a return
Leandro Barbosa (hamstring) is "not close" to returning, according to coach Jay Triano.
Barbosa did not practice Thursday and will miss his seventh straight game Friday night. Jose Calderon and DeMar DeRozan will continue to log extremely heavy minutes, as Jerryd Bayless' injury woes have limited his playing time off the bench.

Mon Jan 24 201112:10Barbosa likely to miss another week
Leandro Barbosa (hamstring) is likely a week away from returning to action, according to Jay Triano.
Barbosa was originally expected to miss 1-2 weeks from mid-January, and missing another week would put him slightly beyond that two-week timetable. Based on this news, fantasy owners in weekly leagues need to keep him on the bench.

Sat Jan 15 201118:20Barbosa out 1-2 weeks w/ strained hamstring
Leandro Barbosa will miss 1-2 weeks after an MRI revealed a strained right hamstring.
Barbosa is out at least the next five games, during which time Jerryd Bayless will have plenty of opportunities to step up his game. If you own Barbosa, weigh the merits of benching him vs. cutting him for a more reliable player.

Fri Jan 14 201122:40Barbosa (hamstring) not traveling w/ Raptors
Leandro Barbosa will not travel with the Raptors to Washington and will have an MRI on his hamstring injury on Saturday.
He could miss several games with the injury, meaning he can be dropped if you need a healthy player for next week. But if you can, hang on until the results of the MRI are in before doing so. Our guess is he'll be day-to-day.

Fri Jan 14 201120:56Leandro Barbosa out with strained hamstring
Leandro Barbosa left Friday's game with a strained right hamstring and will not return.
This is too bad, as Barbosa had been rolling. If the injury appears to be serious at all, drop him for the next hot free agent. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Wed Jan 12 201122:54Barbosa drops season-high 26 in loss
Leandro Barbosa stayed hot on Wednesday, hitting 11-of-16 shots and a 3-pointer for a season high of 26 points to go along with four rebounds and five assists in a home loss to the Hawks.
The eventual return of Sonny Weems is going to hurt him a bit, but Barbosa has played well enough this season to be owned in most leagues. Andrea Bargnani also scored 26 points in the loss.
