Fri Dec 19 201418:43Nicolas Batum: (Wrist) Out Friday
Batum (wrist) will miss Friday's game against the Spurs.
Batum has seen increased minutes recently, but is averageing just 8.2 points, 5.6 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 37 minutes over the past five games. Allen Crabbe and Dorell Wright could be candidates for increase minutes in his absence.
Thu Dec 18 201419:45Nicolas Batum: (Wrist/Knee) Questionable For Friday
Batum (wrist/knee) did not practice Thursday and is questionable for Friday's game against the Spurs, the Oregonian reports.
Batum has seen an increase in minutes over his last five games at nearly 37 versus 34 for the season. He hasn't seen an increase in production, however, and is shooting just 33.3 percent over the five-game span, averaging 8.2 points, 5.6 assists and 3.6 boards. His status for Friday's game should be updated either Friday morning or closer to tipoff.
Mon Dec 8 201402:00Nicolas Batum:
Batum had 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT) with five rebounds, seven assists and a steal in 35 minutes of action against the Knicks on Sunday.
This is Batum's fourth straight game with at least five assists, but oddly - he has not been very successful from down town. Before Sunday's game he had only made two three-point field goal attempts over his last six games.

Batum scored four points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), with 13 assists, four rebounds and three steals in 36 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Nuggets.
Well, this was an interesting line from Batum. He's usually a shooter, but has struggled at times this year shooting. Apparently, he's turned into a pass-first player, and it worked out well. Fantasy owners may not love it since he's not scoring, but you can't hate getting some type of fantasy production from him.

Batum has now not made a three in three games, scoring just six points (3-11 FG, 0-5 3Pt) in a loss to the Grizzlies on Friday.
Batum is now a combined 0-for-13 in his past three games from beyond the arc, which is uncharacteristic for a guy who is a career 36.7 percent shooter from three. The 25-year-old also had the worst plus/minus of anyone on the Trail Blazers, finishing -16 in 35 minutes. Batum certainly isn't in danger of losing any playing time given his track record, but owners have to be frustrated with his struggles from deep.

Batum took his game another step further, following a knee injury that kept him on the sidelines. He ended his night with 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-0 FT), five rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 32 minutes.
Batum will need a few games under him before he hits the form we all know he can produce at. Give him some time to get his game back together, although it looks like that should come sooner, rather than later.
Sat Nov 22 201407:54Nicolas Batum: (Knee) Returns From Injury
Batum (knee) returned from his injury Friday but only spent 21 minutes on the court and put up nine points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
Batum had been sidelined for four-straight games before he made his comeback Friday. The Trail Blazers play the Celtics on Sunday and Batum will likely be eased back into action once again, although he didn't appear to suffer any setbacks Friday.
Fri Nov 21 201420:54Nicolas Batum: (Knee) Will Start
Batum (knee) will start Friday's game, but may not play his usual minutes, Blazers digital reporter Casey Holdahl reports.
He probably won't be a good option in daily leagues Friday night, but it's an encouraging sign that he will be able to play through the ailment for now.
Thu Nov 20 201416:31Batum (knee) seen at practice without brace
Batum (knee) was seen at practice without a brace, Erik Gundersen of The Oregonian reports.
This news offers further credence that Batum is on track to return Friday against the Bulls after missing the previous four contests.
Wed Nov 19 201415:37Nicolas Batum: Batum (Knee) Remains On Track To Return Friday
Batum (knee) went through practice Wednesday, Blazers digital reporter Casey Holdahl reports.
He remains on track to return for Friday's game against the Bulls after missing the past four games with a knee injury.
Tue Nov 18 201417:23Batum (knee) on pace to return Friday against Bulls
Batum (knee) is on pace to return Friday against the Bulls, The Oregonian reports.
Batum has missed the last four games with a knee contusion but said he could have played limited minutes Monday, had there been the need. The forward underwent two Platelet Rich Plasma treatments early last week in an effort to speed up the recovery process, and he's now on track to play Friday against the Bulls. The Blazers were off Tuesday, and Batum will test out the knee in practices Wednesday and Thursday with the expectation that team doctors will clear him for Friday's contest.
Mon Nov 17 201420:39Nicolas Batum: (Knee) Sidelined Monday
Batum (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's contest versus the Pelicans, The Oregonian reports.
Batum's fourth consecutive absence as a result of a right knee contusion has come to pass, which likely affords Allen Crabbe yet another start at small forward. Meanwhile, Batum was able to take part in practice Sunday, and with three days of rest on the horizon, he could achieve active status for the Blazers' next tilt Friday against the Bulls.
Sun Nov 16 201416:46Nicolas Batum: (Knee) Doubtful For Monday
Batum (knee) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Pelicans despite practicing Sunday, The Oregonian reports.
Batum has missed the last three games with a right knee contusion and it seems like he's in line to miss a fourth. There's still an outside shot that he'll be able to take the court, although Allen Crabbe is likely to start his fourth-straight game in place of Batum.
Sat Nov 15 201411:40Nicolas Batum: (Knee) Out Saturday
Batum (knee) won't play in Saturday's game, Blazers' digital reporter Casey Holdahl reports.
He wasn't expected to play Saturday and will miss his third game in a row. After running and shooting during Friday's practice, the hope is that Batum will be able to return for Monday's game, making him a potential play next week in weekly leagues. Allen Crabbe has been starting in his place, but the Blazers have been favoring a smaller lineup later in games, and C.J. McCollum and Steve Blake have seen a lot of time at shooting guard with Wesley Matthews moving to small forward.
Fri Nov 14 201414:52Batum (knee) at practice running and shooting Friday
Batum (knee) was at practice running and shooting Friday, and hopes to return Monday against the Pelicans, CSN Northwest reports.
Batum suffered the injury in the Blazers' game on Sunday, and has now missed two games in a row. He'll most likely miss Saturday's game against the Nets as well, but is targeting Monday for his return. Allen Crabbe should continue to take his spot in the starting lineup until Batum is able to play.
Tue Nov 11 201420:39Batum ruled out for Wednesday's game against Nuggets
Batum has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, the Oregonian reports.
Batum had to miss Tuesday's game after suffering a right knee contusion on Sunday. Considering he missed Tuesday, it's not surprising he'll also have to sit out Wednesday. Coach Terry Stotts also wasn't able to commit to a specific amount of games Batum will miss, so we'll have to wait to hear updates on the injury later this week. Consider him questionable for Portland's game against the Nets on Saturday. Dorrell Wright will most likely take his spot in the starting lineup for the duration of Batum's absence.
Mon Nov 10 201415:07Batum (knee) will not play Tuesday against Charlotte
Batum (knee) will not play Tuesday against Charlotte.
Batum suffered a knee contusion late in Sunday's win over the Nuggets. He was initially considered questionable to play Tuesday, which is encouraging, though the fact that he's been ruled out well in advance of Tuesday's tip indicates the contusion could be a bit more severe than originally anticipated. Consider Batum day-to-day going forward, with Dorrell Wright as the likely fill-in at small forward. Following Tuesday's game, the Blazers play Wednesday in Denver then host the Nets on Saturday.

Batum left Sunday's game with a right knee contusion, the Trail Blazers confirmed after the game.
Batum is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game versus Charlotte, which is a good result for fantasy owners and Blazers' fans, considering that a knee contusion has kept George Hill from playing at all this season. If Batum was to miss any time, Dorell Wright, C.J. McCollum and Will Barton could see an uptick in production.

Batum stuffed the stat sheet Saturday, scoring 10 points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with eight rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and two blocks in 34 minutes.
While Batum is averaging just 8.8 points per game this season, he is filling up the other categories, averaging 7.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.8 blocks in 33 minutes a night. If his 37 percent field goal percentage rises, his scoring numbers will too and he'll be back to delivering the value his draft position dictated. For now, maybe try to send an offer if his owner is laser-focused on his low point production to date.

Batum came up one rebound, one assist and two points short of a triple-double Thursday against the Mavericks.
Batum sat out the entire fourth quarter when the Trail Blazers had built up a sizable lead, but was very close to his fifth career triple-double. Batum's eight points came on 2-of-8 shooting, and had nine rebounds and nine assists.
