Ty Lawson (ankle) said recently that he "still can't run" and will be out another 3-4 weeks, but he will not require surgery.

Lawson missed the Nuggets' final 10 games due to a sprained left ankle which originally wasn't considered serious. "I didn't think it was that bad, either, until seven weeks after it happened and I still couldn't run," Lawson said. "So I was like, 'I need to get this checked out.'" The good news is that X-rays and MRIs have ruled out any structural damage and Lawson should be ready to go by mid-July.

Ty Lawson left for Valencia, Spain on Wednesday for the NBA 3X.

The NBA 3X is a competitive 3-on-3 tournament and Kenneth Faried will also travel to Leon, Spain for the season reason. Lawson's ankle injury seems to be behind him after missing the final six games of the season. He missed 20 total games last season, which was the most in his five-year career. He'll be a top-10 point guard to draft next season.

Since this report comes from the Rocket side of things, it should not quite be treated as gospel just yet. We'll throw another update as the game gets closer to tip time, but Lawson was in a walking boot on Friday and he could miss multiple games. Aaron Brooks will be a must-start player against his former team while Randy Foye and Evan Fournier also get boosts.

"When he comes out aggressive and gets us scoring from the start, it's infectious to our team," said Shaw. "The last couple of games he hasn't been aggressive... I just have to keep working with him on to try to understand that everybody is looking at him." While the Nuggets are having a rather unspectacular season, Lawson has put together career-best numbers averaging 17.8 points, and 8.8 assists. Look for him to get things going again vs. Memphis on Monday.

Ty Lawson scored just seven points vs. the Spurs on Wednesday with four boards, seven assists and one steal in 35 minutes during a 108-103 loss.

He shot just 2-of-8 from the field in his second-lowest scoring game of 2014. Lawson has at least seven dimes in four consecutive games, adding averages of 14.5 points, 3.0 boards, 1.8 steals and 1.3 triples. He'll get a chance to redeem himself against the Spurs on Friday.

Owners can only sit back and hope that one of his many ailments doesn't get him shut down, because he's otherwise been on fire when on the court. Randy Foye hit just 4-of-14 shots for 11 points but did have three 3-pointers, four assists and a steal in the loss.

Ty Lawson missed all 12 of his shots on Saturday, finishing with two points, nine rebounds, 11 assists and two steals in a loss to the Hawks.

He actually played a nice game outside of the dismal shooting, but the Hawks hung on late for the win. Lawson probably won't have another shooting night like this anytime soon, so just keep rolling with him.

Lawson also turned the ball over six times, but this shouldn't rattle owners given his stellar play since returning from a rib injury -- he was averaging 27.0 points, 11.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds in Denver's previous three games.

Ty Lawson scored 30 points on 12-of-22 shooting (including five threes) with four rebounds and 17 assists in the Nuggets' 134-126 win over the Lakers.

Lawson's heel obviously didn't impact his production and owners can be cautiously optimistic about his status going forward. He has been a top-5 player since returning to action.
