Wed Jun 4 2014 | 09:42 | Ty Lawson (ankle) out another 3-4 weeks |
Ty Lawson (ankle) said recently that he "still can't run" and will be out another 3-4 weeks, but he will not require surgery. |
Lawson missed the Nuggets' final 10 games due to a sprained left ankle which originally wasn't considered serious. "I didn't think it was that bad, either, until seven weeks after it happened and I still couldn't run," Lawson said. "So I was like, 'I need to get this checked out.'" The good news is that X-rays and MRIs have ruled out any structural damage and Lawson should be ready to go by mid-July. |

Wed May 28 2014 | 15:34 | Ty Lawson leaves for Spain to NBA 3X |
Ty Lawson left for Valencia, Spain on Wednesday for the NBA 3X. |
The NBA 3X is a competitive 3-on-3 tournament and Kenneth Faried will also travel to Leon, Spain for the season reason. Lawson's ankle injury seems to be behind him after missing the final six games of the season. He missed 20 total games last season, which was the most in his five-year career. He'll be a top-10 point guard to draft next season. |

Wed Apr 16 2014 | 21:21 | Ty Lawson will not play on Wednesday |
Ty Lawson will not play against the Warriors on Wednesday due to a sprained ankle. |
He missed the last six games of the season after an injury on Apr. 4. Lawson is one of the fastest players in the NBA, but he does have his share of injuries. If not for his durability concerns, he'd be a top-15 pick in fantasy leagues. Aaron Brooks gets another start tonight. |

Mon Apr 14 2014 | 16:39 | Ty Lawson ruled out for Tuesday night |
Ty Lawson (ankle) will not play against the Clippers on Tuesday night. |
He didn't even travel and that makes him almost a lock to be out for the season. Aaron Brooks has seen tremendous opportunity in the starting lineup and has been filling up the stat sheet, but he hasn't shot the ball well. In all likelihood, Lawson's season will finish with averages of 17.6 points, 3.5 boards, 8.8 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.2 triples. He'll still be a high pick in fantasy drafts next year despite some injury woes in the second half. |

Thu Apr 10 2014 | 22:24 | Ty Lawson out again on Thursday |
Ty Lawson (ankle) will not play vs. the Warriors on Thursday. |
He is basically out for the season and the Nuggets have not updated him at all through the course of the day. Aaron Brooks is as must-start as it gets. |

Wed Apr 9 2014 | 13:59 | Ty Lawson (ankle) will not return vs. Houston |
Ty Lawson (ankle) will not play vs. the Rockets on Wednesday. |
Nuggets coach Brian Shaw is "fairly confident" that Lawson will return this season, but with four games remaining after Wednesday it will soon be a moot point. Aaron Brooks blew up vs. the Rockets on Sunday and he's a must-start player with Lawson out. |

Tue Apr 8 2014 | 16:25 | Ty Lawson (ankle) expected to sit Wednesday |
Ty Lawson (ankle) is expected to miss his second consecutive game on Wednesday. |
"He's doing better but still not well enough ... I don't think he's close to getting back on the court," said coach Brian Shaw, who previously stated that it's "really not a big deal" if Lawson rests for the remaining five games of the Nuggets' season. This leaves Aaron Brooks with a clear path to value down the stretch, and the red-hot PG belongs in active fantasy lineups until further notice. |

Tue Apr 8 2014 | 15:06 | Ty Lawson (ankle) may not return this season |
Nuggets coach Brian Shaw said recently that it's "really not a big deal" if Ty Lawson (sprained left ankle) doesn't play again this season. |
Lawson is officially day-to-day but Shaw's quotes are rather bleak. "If he can come back and he feels strong enough to come back and it's not going to do any further damage, then I want him to come back," he said. "But if he can't, it's really not a big deal. I think the most important thing is his health going forward." It's a reasonable stance with five games left on the schedule, and owners should consider Lawson doubtful until a more positive update surfaces. Aaron Brooks will look to continue his terrific run as a starter vs. Houston on Wednesday. |

Sun Apr 6 2014 | 15:05 | Report: Ty Lawson (ankle) won't play Sunday |
Ty Lawson (ankle) will not play against the Rockets on Sunday, according to Rockets' play-by-play announcer Craig Ackerman. |
Since this report comes from the Rocket side of things, it should not quite be treated as gospel just yet. We'll throw another update as the game gets closer to tip time, but Lawson was in a walking boot on Friday and he could miss multiple games. Aaron Brooks will be a must-start player against his former team while Randy Foye and Evan Fournier also get boosts. |

Sun Mar 30 2014 | 11:09 | Brian Shaw wants Ty Lawson to stay aggressive |
Nuggets coach Brian Shaw expressed in a recent interview that he wants Ty Lawson to stay aggressive. |
"When he comes out aggressive and gets us scoring from the start, it's infectious to our team," said Shaw. "The last couple of games he hasn't been aggressive... I just have to keep working with him on to try to understand that everybody is looking at him." While the Nuggets are having a rather unspectacular season, Lawson has put together career-best numbers averaging 17.8 points, and 8.8 assists. Look for him to get things going again vs. Memphis on Monday. |

Ty Lawson scored just seven points vs. the Spurs on Wednesday with four boards, seven assists and one steal in 35 minutes during a 108-103 loss. |
He shot just 2-of-8 from the field in his second-lowest scoring game of 2014. Lawson has at least seven dimes in four consecutive games, adding averages of 14.5 points, 3.0 boards, 1.8 steals and 1.3 triples. He'll get a chance to redeem himself against the Spurs on Friday. |

Tue Mar 25 2014 | 01:21 | Lawson goes for 25 and seven in blowout loss |
Ty Lawson scored 25 points on 5-of-11 shooting (2-of-4 3PTs, 13-of-16 FTs) with three rebounds, seven assists and two steals in the Nuggets' blowout loss to the Thunder on Monday. |
Owners can only sit back and hope that one of his many ailments doesn't get him shut down, because he's otherwise been on fire when on the court. Randy Foye hit just 4-of-14 shots for 11 points but did have three 3-pointers, four assists and a steal in the loss. |

Ty Lawson returned to action after missing Wednesday's game due to illness, scoring 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting (including three treys) with one rebound, nine assists and seven turnovers in Friday's loss. |
Hopefully this will mark the end of the missed games for Lawson, who has been touch-and-go on a number of fronts including a groin, heel and rib injuries to name a few. He should be in all lineups until further notice. |

Thu Mar 20 2014 | 15:38 | Ty Lawson (illness) expected to return Friday |
Ty Lawson is expected to return from his sinus infection vs. the Mavericks on Friday. |
Initial reports also cited a groin injury that was slowing Lawson, but fortunately that doesn't seem to be an issue. His impending return takes the shine off Aaron Brooks as a temporary option, despite his 27-point, 17-assist explosion as a starter on Wednesday. |

Wed Mar 19 2014 | 21:03 | Update: Ty Lawson is a late scratch Wednesday |
Ty Lawson (illness) is a late scratch for Wednesday's game vs. the Pistons. |
Well, it's just been that kind of night. He was ready to play about 30 minutes prior to this report and the sinus infection which kept him out of shootaround will cost him a game. Aaron Brooks will likely move into the starting lineup. Lawson should be considered probable for Friday vs. the Mavericks. |

Wed Mar 19 2014 | 20:27 | Ty Lawson (illness) will start vs. Pistons |
Ty Lawson (illness) will start vs. the Pistons on Wednesday. |
The Nuggets won't have Wilson Chandler (hip) tonight and will start Lawson next to Randy Foye, Evan Fournier, Kenneth Faried and Timofey Mozgov. There should be a lot of potential scoring from the point guards tonight and quite a bit of interior scoring as well. Get Lawson in your lineup. |

Wed Mar 19 2014 | 13:32 | Ty Lawson (groin) questionable for Wednesday |
Ty Lawson is questionable to play on Wednesday due to a groin injury and headaches. |
Groin injuries are easy to aggravated and Lawson already dealt with this issue in November, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him given the night off as a precaution. Aaron Brooks should step into the PG job if Lawson isn't able to play. Check back closer to tip-off for a definitive update. |

Sat Mar 15 2014 | 22:08 | Ty Lawson goes 0-for-12 vs. Hawks |
Ty Lawson missed all 12 of his shots on Saturday, finishing with two points, nine rebounds, 11 assists and two steals in a loss to the Hawks. |
He actually played a nice game outside of the dismal shooting, but the Hawks hung on late for the win. Lawson probably won't have another shooting night like this anytime soon, so just keep rolling with him. |

Sun Mar 9 2014 | 21:47 | Ty Lawson, Randy Foye struggle from field |
Ty Lawson handed out 12 assists vs. the Pelicans but his shot went cold and he finished with 15 points on 3-of-12 FGs and 9-of-11 FTs. |
Starting SG Randy Foye wasn't any better, scoring seven points on 3-of-12 shooting (1-of-9 from downtown) despite playing 45 minutes. Lawson also turned the ball over six times, but this shouldn't rattle owners given his stellar play since returning from a rib injury -- he was averaging 27.0 points, 11.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds in Denver's previous three games. |

Sat Mar 8 2014 | 01:05 | Lawson gets loose for 30 and 17 vs. Lakers |
Ty Lawson scored 30 points on 12-of-22 shooting (including five threes) with four rebounds and 17 assists in the Nuggets' 134-126 win over the Lakers. |
Lawson's heel obviously didn't impact his production and owners can be cautiously optimistic about his status going forward. He has been a top-5 player since returning to action. |
