On the other hand, Lawson has been just fine since returning from a shoulder injury, averaging 23.0 points, 4.7 boards, 8.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.7 triples. He's a No. 1 fantasy point guard.

Thu Feb 6 201402:54Ty Lawson double-doubles in win
Ty Lawson hit 6-of-14 shots and a 3-pointer for 18 points, seven rebounds and 13 assists in Wednesday's win over the Bucks.
After six straight double-doubles, Lawson had totaled just 10 assists in his previous two games, but started a new streak tonight. As long as he's healthy, one of the steals of the 2009 draft is one of the best point guards in the NBA.

Tue Feb 4 201402:24Ty Lawson plays 45 minutes in return
Ty Lawson played a whopping 45 minutes in his return to the lineup on Monday vs. the Clippers, scoring 27 points with six boards, four assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.
He missed two games due to a left rotator cuff injury and he hit the ground running tonight. Lawson ran the offense as usual and the Clippers defending the pick and roll well wasn't enough to slow the Nuggets down. As long as he can stay healthy, he's a top-10 point guard in fantasy hoops.

Mon Feb 3 201420:23Ty Lawson is starting on Monday night
Ty Lawson (shoulder) will start against the Clippers on Monday night.
He said he would play and the Nuggets will toss him into the starting lineup after missing two games last week. Lawson's injury is to his non-shooting shoulder, so he should still be able to get close to his 13.4 shots per game tonight. He should be in all lineups. Randy Foye and Evan Fournier take a hit, but both are still expected to be busy, especially Foye.

Mon Feb 3 201409:52Ty Lawson (shoulder) ready to play Monday
Ty Lawson (shoulder) said that he will return to action vs. the Clippers on Monday.
Lawson went through a light practice on Sunday without a hitch. "I have a better range of motion," he said. "Only a couple of things are limiting me right now, but other than that everything is cool." His return takes pressure off Randy Foye to play as a makeshift PG, and it should shift Evan Fournier back to a primary reserve role. The Nuggets play four times this week, so make sure Lawson is in your lineup.

Sat Feb 1 201413:04Ty Lawson (shoulder) could return Monday
Ty Lawson (shoulder) is "improving" and could return to action vs. the Clippers on Monday, according to the Denver Post.
The Nuggets can certainly use the linchpin of their offense back in the lineup. Randy Foye and Evan Fournier have been pressed into heavy minutes with Lawon and Nate Robinson (knee) unavailable, but on Friday it caught up with Denver as exhaustion led to a barrage of sloppy turnovers. Check back for updates on Sunday and Monday.

Ty Lawson (left shoulder) will not play against the Raptors on Friday.
It will be his second game out of the lineup with his sore non-shooting shoulder. Lawson received treatment on Thursday and should be considered questionable for Monday's game against the Clippers. Evan Fournier and Randy Foye will get all the minutes they can handle tonight and should be in all lineups, especially Foye coming off a season-high 33 points.

Fri Jan 31 201409:22Ty Lawson headed for a game-time decision
Ty Lawson (shoulder) is considered a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Raptors.
Lawson is nursing a sprained left (non-shooting) rotator cuff. "He said he felt better (on Thursday), with the ice and the treatment and things of that nature," coach Brian Shaw said. The Nuggets and Raptors tip off at 9pm ET, so we should have official word on by 8pm ET. If Lawson can't go, look for Randy Foye and Evan Fournier to start in the backcourt. Nate Robinson (ACL) is out and Andre Miller has been excused from all team activities since Jan. 1.

Ty Lawson (strained left rotator cuff) is listed as a game-time decision vs. the Raptors on Friday.
He may have some extra incentive to suit up with Nate Robinson (sprained ACL) already ruled out, but Lawson's owners will have to check back for a definitive update. He was on fire prior to his injury and has impressive January averages of 18.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 11.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

Wed Jan 29 201413:41Ty Lawson (shoulder) game-time for Wednesday
Ty Lawson (strained left rotator cuff) remains a game-time decision vs. the Bobcats on Wednesday.
He wasn't able to practice on Tuesday and it's unclear whether he was able to participate in shootaround, but either way his status won't be determined until closer to the 9pm ET tip-off. Nate Robinson, Randy Foye and Evan Fournier stand to gain the most if Lawson can't suit up.

Tue Jan 28 201413:40Ty Lawson (shoulder) questionable for Wed.
Ty Lawson (strained left rotator cuff) is questionable to play vs. the Bobcats on Wednesday.
This is the first we've heard of the injury, which kept Lawson out of Tuesday's practice and has him officially listed as day-to-day. If he does end up missing any games there will be plenty of minutes available for Nate Robinson, Randy Foye and Evan Fournier -- we may even see Andre Miller on the court, though that's far from guaranteed.

Mon Jan 27 201400:00Ty Lawson scores 27 pts in win vs. Sacramento
Ty Lawson scored 27 points on efficient 9-of-15 FGs and 8-of-10 FTs vs. the Kings, and he chipped in three rebounds, six assists and two steals in 35 minutes.
This was just the second time in January that Lawson has failed to record a double-double for points and assists. Denver now has a two-game winning streak, including an unexpected win vs. the Pacers on Saturday, and they'll look to extend their good fortune vs. the Bobcats on Wednesday.

Fri Jan 24 201401:28Ty Lawson scores 13 points in another dub-dub
Ty Lawson had another double-double in Thursday's 110-105 loss to the Blazers, scoring 13 points with two boards, 11 assists, two steals and three turnovers on 3-of-11 shooting.
He has a double-double in 11 of his 12 January games and his assists have really jumped up from his 7.4 per game from back in December. On the down side, Lawson is shooting a career-low 42.6 percent from the field this season, which would shatter his previous low of 46.1 percent. He's up to third in the NBA in assists per game and has matured quite a bit in his fifth season.

Sun Jan 19 201422:53Ty Lawson posts ninth double-double in Jan.
Ty Lawson racked up 17 points, four rebounds and 14 assists on Sunday, marking his ninth double-double in 10 games this month.
He's shooting just 37.1 percent in the past four games, including a 3-of-15 mark from downtown, but his overall production is surging. The hamstring injury and subsequent conditioning issues which limited him in December are a fading memory, and he's produced top-25 value in the Nuggets past seven games.

Fri Jan 10 201401:40Ty Lawson scores 16 points with 14 assists
Ty Lawson was fantastic against the Thunder on Thursday during a 101-88 win with 16 points, seven boards, 14 assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 40 minutes.
He has five consecutive double-doubles and is absolutely tearing it up for the Nuggets. In that span, he's averaged 17.6 points, 5.0 boards, 12.4 assists, 1.8 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.4 triples. Lawson looks about as healthy as he has all year and his hamstring strain from back in December seems like a distant memory.

Wed Jan 1 201423:55Ty Lawson double-doubles in another loss
Ty Lawson had 15 points, six rebounds, 11 assists, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer on 4-of-13 shooting in Wednesday's loss.
Lawson and several other Nuggets starters are playing at a seemingly high level, but they've managed to lose eight straight games, including tonight's home contest against the Sixers. Lawson is averaging 18.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.4 3-pointers on over his last five games, but is hitting just 41 percent of his shots over that stretch. He's also turning the ball over five times a game, which, along with his shooting, are problems for the Nuggets.

Tue Dec 31 201300:38Lawson scores 26 points but Nuggets fall
Ty Lawson scored 26 points on 8-of-15 shooting (including five threes) with two rebounds, seven assists and one steal in the Nuggets' 97-94 loss to the Heat on Friday.
With top 40-70 value Lawson is the only Nuggets player that is remotely trustworthy on any given night, and even then it's a bit of a disappointment based on preseason expectations. The Nuggets have the personnel to run and they're just not running, which is a culture change brought on board by Brian Shaw, and the early returns suggest that he should play to his team's strengths.

Sat Dec 21 201301:32Ty Lawson scores 13 points in loss
Ty Lawson played through an illness on Friday during a 103-99 loss to the Suns, scoring 13 points with four boards, seven assists and five turnovers in 34 minutes.
It hasn't been a great month for Lawson so far. He chalked up his recent struggles to conditioning and hasn't been the same since returning from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury. In those three games, Lawson averaged 10.5 points, 3.0 boards, 8.0 assists, 1.5 steals, 3.0 turnovers and 0.5 triples on 35.1 percent from the field. His value might be at its low point right now.
