Fri Dec 20 201319:27Ty Lawson will start vs. the Suns Friday
Ty Lawson (flu) will start against the Suns on Friday night.
He said earlier today at shootaround he feels weak from his stomach flu, but it's good to hear he's ready to go with so much time before tip. Lawson owners can put him in their lineups in what should be a fun game to watch against Eric Bledsoe and the Suns. The Suns are 6-0 in Friday games and both teams have 14-10 records.

Fri Dec 20 201313:25Ty Lawson (flu) a game-time decision Friday
Ty Lawson (flu) will be a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Suns.
Lawson said he still feels weak from the stomach flu that caused him to miss Thursday's practice, but added that he would suit up Friday night if he has enough energy. Lawson was able to shake off a recent slump in his last game against the Thunder on Tuesday, so it would be nice for his fantasy owners to see him continue that momentum Friday, if possible. If Lawson is unable to go, Nate Robinson would see the biggest uptick in fantasy value, while Andre Miller would also get a bump.

Thu Dec 19 201315:12Ty Lawson (illness) leaves Thursday practice
Ty Lawson was sent home from Thursday's practice with a stomach illness, and he's officially listed as day-to-day.
The Nuggets play the Suns at home on Friday so owners will need to check for updates following shootaround. If the illness prevents him from playing, we'll see more of Andre Miller and Nate Robinson in the backcourt.

Thu Dec 19 201313:36Ty Lawson (flu) held out of Thursday practice
Ty Lawson (stomach flu) was held out of practice on Thursday.
It's unclear whether this illness will hold Lawson out of Friday's game against Phoenix, but we'll be updating his status after Friday morning's shootaround. Lawson overcame his recent slump during Tuesday's loss to the Thunder, so his owners should make sure he's in their lineup as long as he's ready to go Friday night.

Wed Dec 18 201300:06Ty Lawson bounces back in loss to OKC
Ty Lawson, who had a total of 12 points and 12 assists over his previous two games, hit 6-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 17 points, three rebounds, 13 assists and four steals in Tuesday's loss.
Lawson appears to be over his hamstring injury and it's safe to get him back into your lineups after his last two games. After Friday's disaster when he failed to score, he had 12 points and eight assists on Sunday, and then posted tonight's stellar line against the Thunder.

Tue Dec 17 201311:49Ty Lawson trying to get his conditioning back
Ty Lawson attributed his recent slump to a lack of conditioning.
Lawson was forced to sit out two games for the Nuggets as he rehabbed a hamstring injury, and in that time he lost a bit of his conditioning. "With the hamstring you don't do a whole lot in terms of cardio stuff," coach Brian Shaw said. "But the last few days in practice I've been leaving him in the whole time... To his credit, he's pushing himself in practice." Lawson was off to a stellar start this year, averaging career highs in points (18) and assists (7.8) and this small slump should be viewed as a minor bump in the road. Look for Ty to get his footing back Tuesday vs. OKC.

Sat Dec 14 201302:33Ty Lawson fails to score in return
Ty Lawson admirably returned from his hamstring injury on Friday, but missed all six of his shots and failed to score in 27 minutes.
He was playing so well before the injury, so this line is tough to swallow. He did have four assists, but simply couldn't get it going tonight. Andre Miller helped pick up the slack with 11 points, seven dimes and two steals, but it wasn't enough for the Nuggets.

Fri Dec 13 201313:14Ty Lawson (hamstring) to play Friday vs. Utah
Updating a previous report, Ty Lawson (hamstring) will play in Friday's tilt vs. Utah.
All signs were pointing to Lawson making his return on Friday, and this report confirms it. Get him in your lineups as Ty is off to a career year under the wing of Brian Shaw, averaging 19.3 points and 8.0 assists.

Thu Dec 12 201315:08Ty Lawson (hamstring) probable for Friday
Updating a previous report, Ty Lawson (hamstring) practiced fully on Thursday and coach Brian Shaw expects him to play in Friday's game vs. the Jazz.
Andre Miller has been an uninspiring fill-in at PG during Lawson's absence, with Nate Robinson and Evan Fournier picking up more minutes off the bench, but all three guards will resume their usual roles with Lawson

Thu Dec 12 201313:11Ty Lawson (hamstring) taking return slowly
Ty Lawson (hamstring) is taking a cautious approach to his recovery and is a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Jazz.
Lawson hasn't played since tweaking his hamstring on December 6th and sounds iffy to play on Friday. "I felt something I had never felt before in my hamstring," Lawson said. "I want to give it two or three days, try to practice once and then see what's going on." Nate Robinson and Andre Miller will again fill in for Lawson if he is out Friday, and Robinson would again be the better fantasy play of the two.

Mon Dec 9 201319:04Andre Miller starting on Monday
Andre Miller will start at point guard for the Nuggets on Monday.
That would suggest Ty Lawson is out and will miss his second game of the season. Nate Robinson is likely the better player to own over Miller and Lawson should be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Jazz.

Mon Dec 9 201312:47Ty Lawson (hamstring) unlikely to play Monday
Ty Lawson (hamstring) is likely to miss Monday's game vs. the Wizards, according to the Denver Post.
We should have official confirmation of his status before long, but owners should prepare to see Andre Miller starting at PG with bigger roles available for Nate Robinson, Randy Foye and Evan Fournier.

Sat Dec 7 201317:40Ty Lawson (hamstring) out, Miller in at PG
Ty Lawson (hamstring) will not play vs. the 76ers on Saturday, shifting Andre Miller into the starting lineup.
Nate Robinson should also pick up a chunk of playing time in Lawson's absence, and both Robinson and Miller are intriguing spot-starts against a 76ers team which has yielded a league-high 110.6 points and 27.4 assists to their opponents this year. The Sixers also allow the most 3-pointers (10.1), steals (9.8) and blocks (7.2), making them a fantasy goldmine for matchup purposes.

Fri Dec 6 201323:27Ty Lawson likely a game-time call Saturday
Ty Lawson (hamstring) will likely be a game-time decision for Saturday's game against the Sixers.
The Nuggets will re-evaluate his hamstring strain in the morning. Considering he hasn't been ruled out, he might not need a MRI to check on the type of strain. Lawson owners will want to check back for updates. Nate Robinson and Andre Miller would pick up some of the responsibilities handling the ball should Lawson have to sit.

Fri Dec 6 201321:49Ty Lawson strains hamstring, out for game
Ty Lawson strained his left hamstring against the Celtics on Friday and will not return.
He looked like he was playing with a little limp for some of the game, but finally checked out with two minutes left in the third quarter. Lawson finished with 20 points, four boards, four assists and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes. He's dealt with a lot of injuries in his career, but his hamstrings have held up. If he needs to miss time, Andre Miller would handle most of the duties at point guard. Nate Robinson would also pick up some minutes and would make for an interesting pickup for any owners looking for some scoring and 3-point punch. All things equal, Robinson has a little more intrigue as a pickup.

Wed Dec 4 201321:53Ty Lawson hits just 1-of-13 shots in loss
Ty Lawson failed to take advantage of typically shaky Cavaliers defense on Wednesday, hitting just 1-of-13 shots on his way to four points, 11 assists, three steals and a block in the loss.
The Cavaliers are easily one of the league's worst defensive backcourts and we were expecting Lawson to have a field day tonight. He got off some shots and some good looks, but it just wasn't his night. At least he was able to save the night from being a complete loss with the dimes, steals and block.

Sun Dec 1 201316:46Ty Lawson scores 16 points in win
Ty Lawson scored 16 points in Sunday's 112-98 win over the Raptors with four boards, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.
He had X-rays on his ankle to check for issues with his bone spurs on Friday and it didn't seem to bother him. Bone spurs sounds like a scary injury, but players usually are able to play through it without limitations. Lawson is one of the most consistent guards in the NBA and over his last 10 he's averaged 20.1 points, 9.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 34.9 minutes. He and the Nuggets have a four-game week on the horizon with two back-to-back sets.

Sun Dec 1 201312:42Ty Lawson (ankle) expected to play vs. Raps
Ty Lawson (ankle) is expected to play vs. the Raptors in Sunday's matinee game.
He had X-rays taken on his ankle after Friday's game, related to bone spurs in his ankle, but presumably they revealed no significant damage.

Sat Nov 30 201301:19Ty Lawson gets an X-ray on right ankle
Ty Lawson (bone spurs in right ankle) had X-rays taken on his right ankle following Friday's game.
He had left ankle issues last season, so this isn't any aggravation. Lawson also had a groin issue earlier in this season and he's become a little injury prone over the past couple season. Injuries aside, he's been putting up nice numbers and led the Nuggets with 22 points in Friday's win over the Knicks with three rebounds, eight assists and two 3-pointers. The Nuggets will play the Raptors on Sunday and Andre Miller would take over as the starting point guard should Lawson need to miss time.

Fri Nov 22 201301:52Ty Lawson scores just 10 points in win
Ty Lawson shot just nine shots against the Bulls on Thursday, making three of them for 10 points, three rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.
He ranked second among point guards in scoring, sixth in assists and eighth in rebounds, so this was a sub-par game for Lawson. The 26-year-old guard is the focal point of the offense and it would appear only an injury can keep him from elite production this season.
