Guard Malcolm Brogdon of the Milwaukee Bucks and forward Dario Saric of the Philadelphia 76ers were unanimous selections for the NBA All-Rookie First Team, the league announced Monday. Center Joel Embiid gave the 76ers two players on the first team, which was rounded out by guard Buddy Hield of the Sacramento Kings and center Willy Hernangomez of the New York Knicks.Brogdon was named the NBA Rookie of the Year at the league's awards show on Monday night, Saric and Embiid also were finalists.The first team featured a record four international players, topping the previous mark of three. Brogdon is the only American player on the unit.A second-round pick (No. 36 overall) in the 2016 NBA draft, Brogdon is the first player since 1966 to win the top rookie award who was not drafted in the first round. The Philadelphia 76ers announced the signing of forward Dario Saric on Friday.Terms of the deal were not released by the team, but The Vertical reports he will make a rookie salary of $2,318,280 in the 2016-17 season."We are thrilled to finally announce the highly anticipated signing of Dario Saric to an NBA player contract with the Philadelphia 76ers," 76ers president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo said in a statement.The 22-year-old from Croatia was the No. 12 overall pick by the Orlando Magic in the 2014 draft but was dealt to Philadelphia in a draft-night trade along with a 2017 first-round pick for guard Elfrid Payton.Saric has spent the last two years with Anadolu Efes Istanbul in the Turkish Basketball Super League. This past season, he averaged 11 points and six rebounds in 37 games while en route to a Turkish BSL Finals appearance."Our basketball team stands to benefit from both the on-court development and physical maturation of Dario as a professional player in Croatia and Turkey over the last few years," Colangelo said.Saric was named the MVP of the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in which he averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds.
