PHOENIX (AP) — Chris Iannetta's two-run, bases-loaded single in the 10th inning lifted the Colorado Rockies to a 6-4 victory Thursday that completed a three-game sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks.Iannetta, a former Diamondbacks catcher, singled off the center-field wall against Yoshihisa Hirano (3-4) with one out to drive in Ian Desmond and Brendan Rodgers. The Rockies had tied it at 4 on Tony Wolters' pinch-hit RBI single in the ninth off Arizona closer Greg Holland.Scott Oberg (5-0) got the win with two scoreless innings in relief, but had to pitch out of jam in the bottom of the 10th when the Diamondbacks loaded the bases with one out. PHOENIX (AP) — Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a sprained right thumb.The Rockies called up infielder Brendan Rodgers from Triple-A Albuquerque in time for Thursday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.Story was injured while sliding headfirst into second base trying to stretch a single into a double in the sixth inning of Wednesday night's game, which the Rockies won 6-4.Story left the game and was replaced by Pat Valaika. Manager Bud Black said X-rays were negative, but an MRI revealed the extent of the injury.An All-Star in 2018, Story is on the injured list for the third time in his career. DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Rockies have recalled right-handed pitcher Jesus Tinoco from Triple-A Albuquerque and have optioned infielder Brendan Rodgers to the Isotopes.Rodgers was the organization's top prospect when he was recalled May 17. He made his major league debut that night against Philadelphia, and he got his first hit against the Phillies the next day. He had a three-hit game against Pittsburgh on May 22.Rodgers, 22, batted .246 in 35 games and struck out 22 times in 70 plate appearances. He is hitting just .161 in 10 games in June.This is the second call-up for Tinoco and it comes a day after the Rockies depleted their bullpen in a 12-inning loss to San Diego. Colorado blew a six-run lead in the ninth and used eight relievers in the game, which took 5 hours, 4 minutes to play.Tinoco tossed one scoreless inning against Toronto in his major league debut on June 2. It was his only appearance before being optioned to Triple-A.

DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Rockies are running a little cool at second base.That opened the door for Brendan Rodgers, the team's top prospect who's swinging a hot bat.Colorado called up the 22-year-old for a weekend series in Philadelphia that started Friday. In addition to selecting the contract of the prospect from Albuquerque, the Rockies optioned right-hander DJ Johnson and infielder Pat Valaika to the Triple-A team and activated left-hander Jake McGee from the 10-day injured list after he recovered from a sprained left knee.Rodgers was hitting .356 with nine homers and 21 RBIs in 35 games this season with Triple-A Albuquerque. He was playing mostly at second base for the Isotopes with an occasional appearance at shortstop and third base.His promotion makes sense: So far this season, Colorado's second basemen are hitting .200 with no homers and 11 RBIs.Invited to spring training, Rodgers hit .222 in 18 games.
