Wed Jul 22 201509:49Uribe not in lineup for Wednesday's game against Dodgers
Uribe is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, according to Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan Atlanta.
Uribe went 3-for-6 with two RBI over his last two games, but manager Fredi Gonzalez decided to give him a day off Wednesday. Chris Johnson will man the hot corner in Uribe's place.
Sun Jul 19 201513:54Uribe out of lineup Sunday against Cubs
Uribe is out of the lineup Sunday against the Cubs.
Uribe has started four in a row, but will rest Sunday in favor of Pedro Ciriaco at third base. The veteran infielder is hitless in three straight games, and batting just .217 in July following a .305 June mark.
Fri Jul 10 201517:48Uribe not in lineup Friday against Rockies
Uribe is not in the lineup Friday against the Rockies.
Uribe will get the day off as Chris Johnson slots in as the starting third baseman. Uribe is 8-for-31 at the plate in July but he's already struck out nine times while walking only twice.
Sun Jul 5 201510:55Uribe out of lineup Sunday against Phillies
Uribe is out of the lineup Sunday against the Phillies, Kevin McAlpin of the Braves radio network reports.
Uribe has made five straight starts at the hot corner, but will give way to Pedro Ciriaco for the Sunday afternoon contest. The move to Atlanta has treated the 36-year-old Uribe well so far, as he hit .305 in June and is currently riding a seven-game hit streak. Chalk up Sunday's absence as a regular maintenance day, as it clearly isn't performance related.

Uribe contributed all of the offense for the Braves, hitting a ninth-inning home run.
Uribe now has two home runs in the last four days, bringing his total to five for the season. The third baseman has hit considerably better since coming to the Braves, and should continue to see consistent at bats in Atlanta moving forward.
Sun Jun 28 201512:08Uribe out of lineup Sunday against Pirates
Uribe is out of the lineup Sunday against the Pirates.
Uribe will pick up a rest after starting the first two games of the series, going 3-for-7 with a solo home run. The 35-year-old Uribe lacks fantasy upside at this stage of his career due to his rather empty contributions in the counting stats categories, but his steady defense at third base should continue to afford him regular at-bats.
Thu Jun 25 201513:44Uribe out of lineup again Thursday against Nationals
Uribe is out of the lineup again Thursday against the Nationals.
Uribe's absence likely relates to his 0-for-13 stretch at the plate over the last five contests. The Braves will once again give the start at third base to Kelly Johnson on Thursday, and he'll bat sixth against the Nationals and starter Doug Fister.
Wed Jun 24 201515:11Uribe out of lineup Wednesday against Washington
Uribe is out of the lineup Wednesday against Washington.
Uribe has started the last three games at third base, but he'll give way to Kelly Johnson on Wednesday. Johnson will bat sixth against Nats' starter Jordan Zimmerman.
Fri Jun 19 201516:50Uribe out of lineup Friday against Mets
Uribe is out of the lineup Friday against the Mets.
Uribe will take a seven-game hitting streak with him to the bench, and will cede Friday's start at third base to Chris Johnson. However, he should continue to serve as the everyday third baseman moving forward.
Sat Jun 13 201513:38Uribe not in lineup for Saturday's game against Mets
Uribe is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.
Chris Johnson will take over at third base as Uribe sits after starting two straight and seven of the last eight. The 36-year-old Uribe is 13-for-52 (.250 average) with three doubles and two homers in 15 games with Atlanta, giving him a .248/.308/.353 combined slash line for the season.
Wed Jun 10 201515:13Uribe out of lineup Wednesday against Padres
Uribe is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Padres.
Uribe has started the last five games at third base, but the veteran will get the day off Wednesday as the Braves go with Chris Johnson. Johnson will bat fifth against Padres starter Tyson Ross.
Wed Jun 3 201513:27Uribe out of lineup Wednesday
Uribe is out of the lineup Wednesday.
Uribe seems to have a pretty firm hold on the bulk of the playing time at third base, and has six hits and five RBI in his last four games. On Wednesday, however, Chris Johnson will get the start at third and hit fifth.
Mon Jun 1 201500:01Uribe homered for second straight game on Sunday against Giants,...
Uribe homered for the second straight game on Sunday against the Giants, finishing 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
After showing little power and hitting just one home run in 41 appearances for the Dodgers this season, the veteran has hit two in his last two games and is batting .333 with two home runs, four RBI, four runs scored and even a stolen base in four starts for Atlanta. Uribe's playing time could fluctuate with Chris Johnson in the picture and he's unlikely to keep up the home run production, so he carries little fantasy value at the moment.

Uribe busted out with a 3-for-4 effort Saturday in San Francisco, notching a double, a homer, a walk, a steal, two RBI and two runs.
A massive game for Uribe, whose Braves career had been off to a slow 1-for-8 start. The homer and steal were both his second of the year, although we wouldn't bet on the 36-year-old swiping too many more bags. He should be good for a homer here and there, but with Chris Johnson back in the fold, Uribe's playing time may be inconsistent.
Fri May 29 201518:04Uribe not in lineup Friday against Giants
Uribe is not in the lineup Friday against the Giants.
Uribe started the final two games of the Dodgers series, going 1-for-7 with a walk and two strikeouts against his former team. He will give way to Chris Johnson at third base Friday against right-hander Tim Hudson, and the two will likely continue splitting time in the days and weeks ahead.
Wed May 27 201518:31Uribe will start at third base and fifth against Dodgers on Wedn...
Uribe will start at third base and fifth against the Dodgers on Wednesday in his Braves debut, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.
This should be interesting. Uribe will step in against his former team in his first game with Atlanta after being traded in a six-player deal Tuesday night. The fact that he is starting over Chris Johnson in Johnson's first game back on the active roster could suggest Uribe has a slight leg up in manager Fredi Gonzalez's eyes, though the two players will likely split time at third base moving forward.
Tue May 26 201522:13Juan Uribe: Trade to Atlanta Finalized
Uribe was traded to the Braves on Tuesday night as part of a six-player trade, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.
The deal had been agreed to earlier in the morning, but was temporarily put on ice after Alberto Callaspo -- the other principal involved in what Rosenthal is reporting as a six-player swap -- invoked his no-trade clause and voided the deal. However, with Callaspo since coming around to the idea of joining the Dodgers, the talks were quickly reestablished and the trade has since been formally submitted to the commissioner. Uribe became expendable for the Dodgers with the emergence of Justin Turner and Alex Guerrero this season, but he won't necessarily have much easier of a path to at-bats in Atlanta with Chris Johnson (hand) due to return from the disabled list within the next few days. He at least won't have to go far to meet up with his new team, as the Dodgers are hosting Atlanta on Tuesday night.
Tue May 26 201514:18Uribe won't be traded to Atlanta
Uribe won't be traded to Atlanta, at least for right how, as Alberto Callaspo has rejected the deal, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.
No word on why Callaspo would want to stay with an organization that doesn't want him, but perhaps he's angling for his release. Uribe is an afterthought in LA given the plethora of 3B options at their disposal, but he'll have to be traded to see significant at-bats any time soon.
Tue May 26 201511:05The Dodgers are discussing trade that would send Uribe to Braves
The Dodgers are discussing a trade that would send Uribe to the Braves, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.
The deal would also include Braves utility infielder Alberto Callaspo, who was scratched from Monday's lineup against the Dodgers. A trade would likely give Uribe the opportunity for more at-bats, and with the two teams currently facing each other, it may make it easier to work things out quickly. Uribe has just 27 at-bats in May.
Tue May 26 201509:05Juan Uribe: Could Be Traded To Atlanta
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Juan Uribe has been the subject of trade talks with the Atlanta Braves, according to FOX Sports.
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Juan Uribe has been the subject of trade talks with the Atlanta Braves, according to FOX Sports. Uribe began the season as the starter, but he has struggled at the plate over the past few weeks and has gradually lost playing time to Justin Turner and Alex Guerrero. While his stellar glove kept him in the lineup early on, injuries, the lack of production at the plate and the emergence of some viable competition has limited Uribe to just 81 at-bats over a quarter of the way through the season. In addition, the Dodgers have extra infield depth in the minor leagues in Corey Seager that they would like to clear room for, at Uribe's expense. It remains to be seen how far along the trade talks are, but Atlanta likely represents a better opportunity for Uribe.
