Sanchez sustained two small fractures to the left side of his jaw when he was hit in the face by a pitch while playing with Single-A Bradenton on Tuesday. It's a tough blow to the 22-year-old's development, but there's a chance he will be able to return before the end of the minor league season. Sanchez, the fourth overall pick in last June's draft, is batting .379/.500/.724 with two home runs and 10 RBI over the first eight games of the season with Single-A Bradenton, however he has been the designated hitter in three of them. The situation is worth keeping an eye on. | ||||||
