The good news is that Harden made it through the sixth inning for the first time in his last seven starts. The bad news is that he's walked at three batters in each of his last three outings and his 5.68 ERA is for real. We're not holding out much hope for a turnaround as the weather gets warmer in Texas. | ||||||

The seven innings were also a season high, as Harden entered averaging under five innings per start. He had a relatively easy go of it tonight, allowing just two hits and walking none. Still, he threw 108 pitches, even on a night when he was at his best. He's just not going to work deep into games with much frequency. | ||||||

Harden continues to struggle badly with his control, and admitted that he's having trouble finding his arm slot. He walked five and plunked two batters in this one, and now has 25 walks in 23 2/3 innings on the season. Until he starts throwing strikes, Harden must be reserved. | ||||||

Harded threw 99 pitches in his short time on the hill. He's now walked 18 batters in his four starts and has made it to the fifth inning or later just once. It's a very bad sign that he's healthy (we think) and struggling with his command this badly. Leave him reserved against the White Sox next week. | ||||||

Harden was extremely wild, walking six and hitting a pair of batters. He did manage to strike out five, but he also gave up four singles and a homer. Harden will get the Tigers next time out, but it's tough to trust him in mixed leagues given the start he's off to. | ||||||

Harden was somewhat improved today, though he was facing a pretty weak Indians lineup that was missing Grady Sizemore. Just 59 of his 105 pitches were strikes, and he fanned only two. He has a ways to go before he should be trusted in mixed leagues. | ||||||
