Rockies recalled LHP Eric Stults from Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Stults held a 5.21 ERA with the Sky Sox but struck out 50 over 44 2/3 innings. He'll operate in long relief.

Rockies signed LHP Eric Stults to a minor league contract.

He'll get an invite to major league spring training. Stults, who turns 31 next month, spent this past season with the Hiroshima Carp in Japan, posting a 5.07 ERA over 21 starts. The southpaw has a 4.84 ERA over 35 major league appearances (24 starts), all with the Dodgers. He would be allowed to return to the Carp if he doesn't make the major league roster next spring.
