Mon Jan 5 201522:24Kaman started at center for Portland on Monday against Lakers
Kaman started at center for Portland on Monday against the Lakers, the Oregonian reports.
There were conflicting reports ahead of Monday's game on whether Kaman or Thomas Robinson would get the start, although Kaman ended up in the starting five which was announced only moments before tipoff. He is currently averaging 18.8 minutes per game and may see a slight increase in that number for Monday's game, albeit limited.
Mon Dec 29 201400:21Kaman believed to sit out of this game due to birth of child
Kaman was believed to sit out of this game due to the birth of his child. However, he ended up playing this game and finished with 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-4 FT) nine rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 20 minutes.
Kaman came through for his team, despite previously stating that he would miss this game. With few bodies toppled around the rim, Kaman was able to grab a healthy amount of rebounds in a limited amount of time. As long as Lopez and Aldridge miss time he's going to be able to put up good numbers in the short term.
Sun Dec 28 201419:41Kaman (personal) will play in Sunday's game against Knicks
Kaman (personal) will play in Sunday's game against the Knicks, the Oregonian reports.
Kaman had to miss Friday's game due to a family issue as well as Saturday's practice, but will be available for their game against the Knicks on Sunday. He'll most likely see a ton of time with both LaMarcus Aldridge and Robin Lopez sidelined, so he could be a solid fantasy option due to that extra increase in playing time. AS soon as they're back, Kaman will lose some of his fantasy value.
Sat Dec 27 201416:37Kaman (personal) did not practice Saturday
Kaman (personal) did not practice Saturday, but could return to the team in time to play Sunday, Erik Gundersen of the Columbian reports.
Normally Kaman's return would not be particularly relevant to fantasy, but with teammates Robin Lopez (hand) and LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) both likely out Sunday, Kaman will have significant fantasy value for that game, and any additional games that Aldridge misses due to his illness.
Fri Dec 26 201420:41Kaman will miss Friday's game against Sixers due to family issue
Kaman will miss Friday's game against the Sixers due to a family issue.
Kaman will join both LaMarcus Aldridge and Robin Lopez as inactives for the Trail Blazers Friday, leaving the team's frontcourt shorthanded. It's unclear exactly why Kaman will skip Friday's contest, but he hasn't been ruled out for Sunday against the Knicks.

Kaman came off the bench for Friday's game against the Spurs and was able to contribute six points, five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 18 minutes of action.
Kaman is actually averaging 18.9 minutes on the season and it appears that he won't be given more time on the court with the absence of Robin Lopez (hand). Fellow center Joel Freeland has been inserted into the starting lineup with Thomas Robinson especially seeing the added minutes from the loss of Lopez.

Kaman scored 11 points and added three rebounds in 20 minutes of action Monday against the Spurs.
Kaman could see more run with Robin Lopez (hand) expected to miss one month. He'll have the opportunity to play big minutes and has the potential to score, grab boards, and block shots even in 25-plus minutes. He's worth owning in 12-man leagues while Lopez is out.

Kaman scored 15 points (7-10 FG, 1-1 FT) with 10 rebounds and a steal in 21 minutes off the bench Monday.
If something were to happen to Robin Lopez, Kaman would become an immediate add, but even in his reduced role the center is proving to have some value in deeper leagues.

Kaman was, once again, a solid source of rebounds off the bench, pulling down seven to go with eight points (4-5 FG) in 18 minutes.
Kaman is averaging just 20 minutes a night this season backing up Robin Lopez, but has still managed to pull down 6.3 boards per night. If an injury befell Lopez, Kaman would become a must-add player across all formats as his 11.7 rebounds per 36 minutes would have value in every league. As it stands, Kaman is a guy to look at for streaming if you need a few rebounds to win a weekly head-to-head battle.

Kaman played 23 minutes and scored 12 points against the Lakers Wednesday.
Kaman suffered a head laceration on Tuesday, but he didn't have any lasting problems or concussion-like symptoms so he was able to play in Wednesday's game. He should be ready for the regular season opener.

Kaman suffered a head laceration when Timofey Mozgov inadvertently bit him during Tuesday's preseason game, the Oregonian's Joe Freeman reports.
Kaman said he didn't think he suffered a concussion and his status for Wednesday's game is unclear, as the results of a concussion test weren't immediately known Tuesday night. While getting accidentally bitten by a fellow player certainly isn't ideal, it shouldn't be something that sidelines him for the season opener.
Thu Jul 10 201414:33Chris Kaman officially signs with Portland
Chris Kaman officially signed his two-year, $10M contract with the Trail Blazers on Thursday.
"I am extremely pleased to add Chris to our roster," said Blazers Coach Terry Stotts. "He is a proven NBA talent and will both bolster and complement our front court at both ends of the floor." Kaman provides quality depth in the front court behind Robin Lopez and LaMarcus Aldridge, but he should not be on fantasy radars.

Thu Jul 3 201423:32Blazers sign Chris Kaman for 2-year, $10 mil
The Blazers have reached an agreement with Chris Kaman on a two-year, $10 million contract.
This likely takes the Blazers out of the running on Spencer Hawes. Kaman will come in and back up Robin Lopez, who has been remarkably durable in his NBA career. He'll likely just have his minutes in the teens and will not have much fantasy value. The second year of his deal is partially guaranteed.

Thu Apr 17 201413:30Kaman's future with Lakers unclear
Chris Kaman's future with the Lakers is unclear, as the team is still developing a game plan on how to attack next season.
Kaman didn't fit into Mike D'Antoni's scheme and he eventually told Mike D to play him, or develop Robert Sacre instead. Kaman didn't play down the stretch and it's probably safe to say that if D'Antoni is coach next season, Kaman probably won't return to the Lakers.

Wed Apr 16 201412:58Chris Kaman (calf) out Wednesday vs. Spurs
Chris Kaman (calf) will not play vs. the Spurs on Wednesday.
Kaman struggled to find favor with coach Mike D'Antoni and he wasn't shy about expressing his displeasure. The few times he did step into a big role it was short-lived, which made him very hard to roster in fantasy leagues. Hopefully he'll find a more suitable role next season, whether in L.A. or elsewhere.

Mon Apr 14 201419:50Chris Kaman won't play on Monday night
Chris Kaman (calf) will not play against the Jazz on Monday.
He is likely out on Wednesday night and his first season with the Lakers did not go well. He had some issues with his coach and couldn't say healthy -- a common problem for Kaman. Jordan Hill and Ryan Kelly will start and make for decent options considering how poorly the Jazz defend the paint.

Sat Apr 12 201416:00Chris Kaman (calf) limited at Sat. practice
Chris Kaman (strained calf) went through light activities during Saturday's practice.
The Lakers already announced that Kaman won't play on Sunday but he could make an appearance during L.A.'s final two games on Monday and Wednesday. Even if he does return, he's unlikely to get enough playing time to be worth the trouble for fantasy owners fighting until the bitter end.

Thu Apr 10 201415:43Chris Kaman (calf) out Friday and Sunday
Chris Kaman (strained calf) won't play on Friday or Sunday and he's uncertain to return this season.
"I'm doing all right," said Kaman. "It's slow ... the calf is a weird thing. I don't know if it's possible [to return]." He's holding out some hope that he might return for L.A.'s final two games but it seems unlikely at this point. With Pau Gasol (vertigo) also out of commission, the Lakers will continue to rely on Jordan Hill, Robert Sacre and Ryan Kelly.

Mon Apr 7 201417:11Chris Kaman out for Tuesday night
Chris Kaman will not play against the Rockets on Tuesday due to his strained calf.
This will be his fourth consecutive game out of the lineup and he will likely miss more. Kaman has been in Mike D'Antoni's doghouse this season and there is little incentive to stash him in fantasy leagues. Jordan Hill's minutes are safe while Ryan Kelly and Robert Sacre will help.

Sat Apr 5 201414:59Chris Kaman (calf), Gasol, Nash out Sunday
Chris Kaman (calf), Pau Gasol (vertigo) and Steve Nash (nerves) will all sit out Sunday's game.
The Lakers go into a matchup vs. the Clippers without Kaman or Gasol, which means they'll lean heavily on Jordan Hill and Robert Sacre for frontcourt production. Kaman is day-to-day but fantasy owners should avoid him given his inconsistent role for Mike D'Antoni and the fact that L.A. only plays five games after Sunday.
