Sun Dec 29 201309:24Clippers, Heat may target Andrew Bynum
The Clippers and Heat are both interested in signing Andrew Bynum after he's waived by the Cavaliers, according to the L.A. Times.
It's all but certain that the Cavs will jettison Bynum before his contract becomes guaranteed on Jan. 7. While it makes sense for playoff teams to vie for him as extra frontcourt insurance, his ultimate destination shouldn't matter to fantasy owners -- he averaged 8.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks this season, but shot 41.9 percent from the field and contributed nothing in other categories.

Sat Dec 28 201316:25Report: Andrew Bynum will be released
Andrew Bynum will be released by the Cavs before his contract is guaranteed, according to Sam Amico of FOX Sports.
The deadline is Jan. 7 for the team to save some money and the report certainly makes sense. Bynum has been suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team, so he's likely done playing in Cleveland. It's hard to imagine any team making a major commitment to him at this point, making it tough for fantasy owners to stash him. He is incapable of playing big minutes and it should be interesting to see if any teams take a chance on him.

Sat Dec 28 201311:00Andrew Bynum suspended by Cavaliers
Andrew Bynum has been suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team.
The announcement was made by GM Chris Grant. Bynum did not travel with the team to Boston and will not play on Saturday. Currently there is no information on the length of the suspension, or the factors that caused the disciplinary action. Take him out of your lineups for now and check back for more information as it becomes available. Bynum is averaging just 8.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, and sinking a dreadful 41.9 percent of his shots from the field. It his the lowest field goal percentage since his rookie season.

Fri Dec 27 201300:06Andrew Bynum plays just 18 minutes
Andrew Bynum played 18 minutes against the Hawks on Thursday with a line of four points, one rebound and one block on 2-of-3 shooting.
The Cavs have one of the worst interior presences on offense in a very long time and some of it has to do with Andrew Bynum. They're shooting a woeful 49.1 percent on shots from within eight feet, which is the lowest percentage since the 98-99 Golden State Warriors. He has a total of three buckets in transition and is a long way from being a consistent asset in fantasy leagues.

Tue Dec 24 201301:07Bynum goes scoreless in blowout loss
Andrew Bynum went scoreless despite taking 11 shots from the field in Monday's blowout loss, finishing with zero points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 22 minutes.
Bynum is more likely to be a mess than anything better than that, which means that he's only worth the time and hassle if you're desperate at the center position.

Sat Dec 21 201323:48Andrew Bynum goes for 19 & 7 in loss
Andrew Bynum got hot on Saturday and hit 9-of-15 shots for 19 points, seven rebounds, a steal and no blocks in 24 minutes in a loss to the Bulls.
After disappearing for three straight games, he's now played well in three straight, averaging 13 points, 7.7 rebounds, a steal and a block in 26 minutes. It will be interesting to see if his body can hold up as long as he keeps getting this kind of run, although it's worth noting he hasn't missed a game since Nov. 15, which means he's due for a rest.

Sat Dec 21 201300:46Andrew Bynum takes 14 shots in win
Andrew Bynum shot 3-of-14 from the field in Friday's win over the Bucks for eight points with seven boards, one assist and three blocks in 24 minutes.
His shot attempts have jumped up quite a bit with his 12 on Tuesday night -- up from his 8.0 season average. Bynum hasn't missed a game since Nov. 15 and he should be ready to go for Saturday's game against the Bulls. Although, it would not be a surprise to see him sit.

Tue Dec 17 201321:57Andrew Bynum plays well...in first half
Andrew Bynum had 13 points, nine rebounds, two steals and zero blocks in 27 minutes of Tuesday's loss.
He did most of his damage in the first half when he was getting single coverage from Robin Lopez, but struggled after the break when the Blazers started doubling him. He hadn't done much in his previous two games, but took advantage of some lax defense in the first half tonight.

Fri Dec 13 201322:31Andrew Bynum invisible on Friday
Andrew Bynum had just two points, two rebounds and zero blocks in Friday's win over the Magic.
After going on a three-game binge where he averaged 17 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks, he's scored a total of five points with 10 rebounds and one block in his last two games. Bynum will have some good games as long as he can stay healthy, but it's just tough to imagine him staying healthy, or playing at a high level over the course of the entire season. In other words, now that the hot streak is over, he's going to cause enough headaches to make him a risky fantasy play going forward.

Sat Dec 7 201301:22Bynum posts 20 and 13 in loss to Atlanta
Andrew Bynum scored 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting (2-of-7 FTs) with 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 27 minutes on Friday against the Hawks.
While the starting backcourt imploded around him tonight, Bynum was able to get his as he enjoys pretty heavy usage when he's on the floor and that may be part of the problem for the Cavs as they suffered another embarrassing loss. It's hard to blame them, though, since Bynum is a liability on the floor if he's not putting the screws into opposing defenses. He's playing well enough to be in all lineups until further notice.

Wed Dec 4 201322:14Andrew Bynum goes for 14 & 7 in win
Andrew Bynum hit 6-of-15 shots for 14 points, seven rebounds and a block in 20 minutes on Wednesday.
He had three full days to rest since Saturday's 20-10-5 explosion, and while tonight's line wasn't even close to that one, it was still useful in fantasy. We don't trust Bynum's health farther than we can throw him, but if you want to pick him up and ride him until the wheels fall off, it makes sense.

Wed Dec 4 201313:49Andrew Bynum gets 20 & 10 w/ five blocks
Andrew Bynum played 30 minutes on Saturday despite a 25-28 minute limit imposed by the Cavs' training staff.
Apparently coach Mike Brown hadn't known about the limit before the game, which led to Bynum's inflated playing time. After watching Bynum drop 20 & 10 with five blocks vs. the Bulls, fantasy owners should still be pleased if he's able to log north of 25 minutes per game.

Sat Nov 30 201322:20Andrew Bynum turns back clock w/ 20-10-5
Andrew Bynum somehow played 30 minutes on Saturday and finished with season highs of 20 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks, as the Cavaliers beat the Bulls.
Bynum was in during crunch time and the Cavaliers kept feeding him. He looked fantastic tonight, but it's hard to imagine there not being some health consequences stemming from his huge game. If he was dropped in your league and you need a center, go get him. But despite tonight's dream-like line, he's probably going to cause owners more headaches than celebrations over the course of the season. Having said that, it was great to see him play like the Bynum we all remember from a few years ago.

Sat Nov 30 201302:45Bynum scores four points with two boards
Andrew Bynum scored four points on 2-of-7 shooting with two rebounds and one block in 15 minutes on Friday against the Celtics.
Bynum is starting to show his stripes and Cavs beat writers are openly doubting his ability to turn the corner on his slow start. He's not jumping when on the floor and hasn't been able to improve as the year goes on. Anybody monitoring him as a desperation add can probably step away from the keyboard.

Sat Nov 23 201323:39Andrew Bynum posts 16 points, six rebounds
Andrew Bynum scored 16 points on 8-of-15 shooting with six rebounds and one block over 21 minutes in Saturday's blowout loss to the Spurs.
Bynum has slowly ramped up his playing time and this is his first impact line of the year. Everybody knows his risks, but he's back on the fantasy radar as a desperation add at center with a spoonful of upside to go with it.

Sat Nov 23 201319:32Andrew Bynum will play on Saturday
Andre Bynum is playing in the second half of a back-to-back set for the first time on Saturday.
He played 18 minutes on Friday and scored just eight points in the loss to the Pelicans. Bynum's season high is just 21 minutes, so playing over that amount tonight would be an encouraging sign. That said, he looks to be more trouble than he's worth in standard leagues.

Sat Nov 23 201302:20Andrew Bynum scores eight points in 18 mins.
Andrew Bynum played 18 minutes in his fourth start at center on Friday, scoring eight points with one board and two blocks against the Pelicans.
It was the third time he blocked two shots this season. Bynum has yet to make a splash in the stat sheet and there's a good chance he'll be sitting out in the second half of a back-to-back on Saturday vs. San Antonio. He's more trouble than he's worth in fantasy leagues. Anderson Varejao was quiet with four points, nine boards, one steal and one block in 28 minutes.

Wed Nov 20 201322:46Andrew Bynum plays 13 minutes in loss
Andrew Bynum played just 13 minutes and had two points, one rebound and zero blocks in a loss to the Wizards on Wednesday.
Owners will surely be asking themselves if he's worth their time, and it looks like the answer is probably no. He really struggles to run and jump, which makes playing basketball a tough task. And if he's available on waivers, you have to ask yourself the same question, and unfortunately, the answer is probably 'no.'

Sat Nov 16 201322:25Andrew Bynum back in action for Cavs
Andrew Bynum returned from a two-game personal absence and started for the Cavs on Saturday, finishing with six points, three rebounds, a steal and a block in 21 minutes.
Bynum's clearly not moving all that fast but has been fairly effective when on the court. But he feels like a ticking, fantasy time bomb and owners have to be thankful for everything they get out of him. Which honestly, isn't all that much.

Sat Nov 16 201317:46Andrew Bynum returns, will start on Saturday
Andrew Bynum will start Saturday's game after missing the Cavs' past two games for personal reasons.
His absence was not health related, so he should be ready to resume playing 15-20 minutes after logging a season-high 21 minutes on Monday. His return sends Anderson Varejao back to the bench.
