Tue Apr 1 201414:15Steve Nash (nerves) probably to play Tuesday
Steve Nash (nerve irritation) is considered probable for Tuesday's game.
We're not taking anything for granted with Nash, who isn't likely to play many minutes even if he does take the court. His possible return makes Kendall Marshall an even shakier option at PG vs. Damian Lillard and the Blazers.

Steve Nash (nerve irritation) will not play on Sunday.
He was never expected to play and it's anyone's guess if or when he'll return this season, though to his credit he hasn't thrown in the towel despite L.A.'s lousy record and lack of playoff aspirations.

Sun Mar 30 201416:23Steve Nash says he probably won't play Sunday
Steve Nash (leg, back) said he probably won't play against the Suns on Sunday.
It's not a big development here and Nash was able to play just 15 minutes on Friday. Even if he does play, he'll still see a major minute restriction and has no fantasy value. Kendall Marshall and Kent Bazemore figure to benefit without the former MVP.

Sun Mar 30 201413:52Steve Nash (leg) game-time decision on Sunday
Steve Nash (leg) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game vs. the Suns.
It's safe to say that Nash is probably much closer to doubtful than a game-time decision, and even if he is to play, he is really not a fantasy option outside of extremely deep leagues. Leave the former repeat MVP on the wire.

Sat Mar 29 201409:22Steve Nash (leg) may be out Sunday vs. Suns
Steve Nash gave no assurances that he'll play again this season after appearing for 15 minutes in Friday's ugly loss to the Wolves.
Nash said that he "wasn't totally pain-free" but also didn't have any "debilitating" setbacks, and there are zero reasons to trust him as a fantasy option. "I don't know if I'll play again or if I play every game [the rest] of the year," he said. "I have to be really conservative and cautious to give myself a chance to come back next year and see what my options are to have as big a impact."

Fri Mar 28 201422:49Nash (leg) returns and plays 15 minutes
Steve Nash (leg) was a surprise participant in Friday's blowout loss, logging 15 minutes with four points, six assists and a steal to show for it.
Nash may as well be on his farewell tour and one has to wonder if Mike D'Antoni is just trying to get him on a court for these final games. We'll give him the proper respect for his Hall of Fame career when the moment comes, but for now we'll simply put him on the injury list and hope his sporadic appearances don't screw with things too much.

Fri Mar 28 201420:15Nash (leg) to play on Friday vs. Wolves
Steve Nash (leg) went from doubtful to playing on Friday against the Wolves.
Nash's status seems to be up to him and tonight he was able to go. He'll cut into Kendall Marshall's playing time, similarly to the way that Xavier Henry (knee) was. Spot-start him at your own risk in deep leagues.

Fri Mar 28 201418:48Steve Nash doubtful to play vs. Wolves
Steve Nash (nerve irritation) is doubtful to play against the Wolves on Friday.
He's going to warm up and see how he feels for this game. Nash is definitely not a fantasy option because he is a big in-game injury risk. Kendall Marshall owners shouldn't be discouraged even if Nash suits up, which probably isn't happening.

Thu Mar 27 201413:19Steve Nash will miss Lakers' road trip
Steve Nash (leg) will miss the Lakers' two-game road trip.
The Lakers return home Sunday, but Nash added that he is aiming to return "next week" so it's sounding like he won't be available until at least Tuesday April 1 against the Blazers. Kendall Marshall will continue to handle the bulk of point guard duties with Nash and Jordan Farmar sidelined and any fantasy owners hanging onto Nash should let go of their nostalgia and move onto a more productive option.

Tue Mar 25 201421:02Steve Nash (nerves) out again vs. Knicks
Steve Nash (nerve irritation) will sit out Tuesday's matchup vs. the visiting Knicks.
Nothing about Nash's health suggests he'll make a sustained comeback this season, and he's now followed up his 19-minute return on Friday with two consecutive DNPs. With Nash and Jordan Farmar (groin) on the sidelines, the Lakers will continue to lean on Kendall Marshall at PG with help from guys like Kent Bazemore, Jodie Meeks and Nick Young.

Mon Mar 24 201415:29Steve Nash doubtful for Tuesday night
Steve Nash (nerve irritation) is doubtful to play against the Knicks on Tuesday.
He did not play on Sunday due to his perpetual back and hamstring issues and he could miss time beyond Tuesday, as well. Nash made a surprising return on Friday and was hurt in the fourth quarter. Kendall Marshall will continue to start while Kent Bazemore figures to run the point with the second unit. Interestingly, the most used lineup on Sunday included four bench players and a starter with Bazemore, Ryan Kelly, Nick Young, Robert Sacre and Jodie Meeks playing together for 13.2 minutes.

Sun Mar 23 201421:12Steve Nash (nerves) will not play Sunday
Steve Nash (nerve irritation) will not play on Sunday.
Nash admitted that he probably shouldn't have played on Friday, when he dished out 11 assists in 19 minutes, and he should be considered day-to-day for the rest of the season. Kendall Marshall gets a boost with the 40-year-old Nash joining Jordan Farmar (groin) on the sidelines.

Sat Mar 22 201415:30Steve Nash is a game-time call on Sunday
Steve Nash (nerve irritation) is a game-time decision to face the Magic on Sunday.
He received treatment on his back/hamstring nerve issue after admitting he tweaked something late in Friday's return. Nash was effective in his 19 minutes with 11 dimes in the loss to the Wizards, but the Lakers might want to hold him out of action since he is going to try and play next season. Kendall Marshall is still expected to start regardless of Nash's availability.

Fri Mar 21 201413:38Steve Nash will return on Friday
Steve Nash (nerve irritation) will play in Friday's game against the Wizards.
The Lakers originally shut Nash down so they could get a longer look at Kendall Marshall and Jordan Farmar. But now that Farmar is sidelined, they're desperate for point guard help. Nash is expected to come off the bench and we wouldn't expect more than 20 minutes or for him to sustain health.

Thu Mar 20 201415:51Steve Nash (nerves) does non-contact practice
Steve Nash (nerves) went through the non-contact portions of Thursday's practice, though it's still uncertain whether he'll play again this season.
A return seems doubtful at this point, but Nash is at least seeing how his body responds to the practice now that Jordan Farmar has been ruled out two weeks. He's shown no ability to maintain his health after shorts spurts of activity this season, and he doesn't belong on any fantasy rosters.

Mon Mar 17 201417:41Steve Nash could return to action?
Steve Nash (nerve irritation) said he's working to stay in game shape and could potentially be available later this season.
To be clear, he is still very, very doubtful to play this year. The Lakers said Nash was going to be out for the season last week, so a return at any point this year would be a huge surprise. Fantasy owners can keep him on the waiver wire despite how the Lakers may have lost Jordan Farmar (groin) for the foreseeable future.
