Thu Jul 14 202210:18Quentin Grimes A Target For Jazz
New York Knicks shooting guard Quentin Grimes is one of the primary targets for the Utah Jazz in a potential blockbuster deal that would send Donovan Mitchell to the Big Apple, according to sources of The Athletic. The Knicks have emerged as the frontrunner to land Mitchell. The Knicks' future first round picks are reportedly the primary assets that the Jazz covet, but Grimes is a leading candidate to be part of the trade as well. The 22-year-old saw limited minutes as a rookie last year, but flashed some promise when given the opportunities. He shot 38.1% from the three-point line over the season. He scored a season-high 27 points while knocking down seven threes against the Milwaukee Bucks last December.

Sat Jul 9 202216:22Quentin Grimes Records 24 Points In Summer League Win
New York Knicks shooting guard/small forward Quentin Grimes dropped a team-high 24 points on an aggressive shooting display during the team's Summer League victory over the Warriors on Friday. Grimes shot 8-for-21 from the floor overall, while going 4-for-14 from deep. Overall, he was New York's offensive catalyst, dishing out eight assists, while grabbing four rebounds and two steals. After playing limited minutes to begin his NBA career, Grimes became a solid second-unit contributor when given opportunities. Wed Apr 6 202218:46Quentin Grimes Will Miss Wednesday’s Game
New York Knicks shooting guard/small forward Quentin Grimes (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest vs. the Nets due to a sore right knee. Grimes returned to play 16 minutes Sunday, but he shot just 1-for-5 from the field in his return from a four-game absence. Head coach Tom Thibodeau did not rule Grimes out for the rest of the year, but he did stress that the team would not have him suit up over the final two contests if it did not believe him to be totally healthy. Miles McBride (knee) returns Wednesday and could snatch some additional minutes, along with Immanuel Quickley, who could benefit from added offensive opportunities with the second unit.

Thu Mar 10 202209:46Quentin Grimes Getting Closer To A Return
New York Knicks guard Quentin Grimes (knee) has been ramping up his workouts and is inching closer towards returning to the court. The rookie dislocated his right knee on February 25. The injury looked bad at the time as he was helped off the court by teammates, but it looks likely that Grimes will be back in action in about a week or so. Head coach Tom Thibodeau said that contact drills will be next for Grimes, while also stating, "He's moving around, he's getting closer, coming along nicely." The rookie had some strong showings in February before the injury. He hit a total of 10 three-pointers over a two-game stretch in the middle of the month. He should have a key role for the team down the stretch once he's ready.

Sat Feb 26 202221:54Quentin Grimes To Miss Two Weeks
New York Knicks guard Quentin Grimes (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Grimes suffered a knee injury on Friday and was unable to return to that contest. Now, the team has announced that Grimes will be re-evaluated in two weeks. It's a shame because Grimes was playing well before the All-Star break. Obi Toppin and Cam Reddish should see increased playing time while Grimes is sidelined. However, neither are worth adding in most fantasy formats, but they could have some desperation deep league appeal.

Fri Feb 25 202221:17Quentin Grimes Could Miss Time
New York Knicks guard Quentin Grimes (knee) was unable to finish out Friday's game against the Miami Heat. The young guard suffered a right knee injury that could potentially cost him time. The Knicks don't have a timetable for Grimes and will keep him sidelined for this game. This is a shame because Grimes was playing well before the All-Star break. Fantasy managers should hold him for the moment until more information is announced. Jericho Sims, Obi Toppin, and possibly Cam Reddish will benefit if Grimes is forced to miss time.

Mon Feb 7 202220:54Quentin Grimes Scratched With Sore Knee
New York Knicks shooting guard Quentin Grimes (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's road game against the Utah Jazz. He is dealing with a sore right knee. There had been no injury designation for him going into the day, so he may have suffered the injury during warmups prior to Monday's game. The rookie out of Houston has seen about 16 minutes per game this year. He struggled in the team's most recent game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday as he went 0-for-5 from the field. His absence could lead to either Cam Reddish or Miles McBride breaking into the rotation for Monday's game.

Mon Dec 13 202107:58Quentin Grimes Shines In A Start
New York Knicks shooting guard Quentin Grimes enjoyed a memorable first career start on Sunday, leading all scorers with 27 points in a loss to Milwaukee. He set a new franchise record for most triples in a game by a rookie with seven and shot 9-for-17 overall from the field. He collected three rebounds and three steals while delivering three assists with five turnovers in 40 minutes. Grimes replaced RJ Barrett (health and safety protocols) in the starting unit and the Knicks were missing a lot of other guys as well, so it was the perfect storm for the 21-year-old rookie. It's not known when Barrett is able to return and thus Grimes could get even more opportunities to shine.
