Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran hit a solo shot Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers, with his second homer of the season coming as the second half of a back-to-back set with Kike Hernandez off starter Casey Mize. It was Duran's only hit in five at-bats. Though Duran has only contributed a .528 OPS in his first 50 at-bats, he's flashed plenty of upside. He belongs on the bench for fantasy managers until he gets things going, but he seems primed to be an all-category producer going forward very shortly.

Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran was dynamic in the nightcap of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Toronto Blue Jays, going 1-for-2 with a triple, two RBI, and a run scored. The triple originally appeared to be an inside-the-park home run, but was later ruled to be a triple with a bobble by the center fielder. Duran is a game-changer with his speed, and while he has yet to steal a base in his first 10 major league games, he still belongs on rosters in redraft formats. Duran has just about as much upside as any rookie who's graduated to the majors this season, and fantasy managers will want to have him rostered when lightning finally strikes.

Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran is not in the lineup for the first game of the team's doubleheader against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. Duran has collected four hits, a home run, two walks, and a pair of RBI in his first 28 Major League plate appearances. Alex Verdugo is starting in center field and batting sixth against left-handed starter Robbie Ray. J.D. Martinez is in left field and batting third, with Kevin Plawecki getting the start at designated hitter. Plawecki is hitting seventh. Considering Verdugo and Martinez start most days for Boston, this is essentially Plawecki replacing Duran in the lineup. Plawecki is batting .267 with a .329 on-base percentage and a home run in 83 plate appearances this season. You're probably better off looking elsewhere for streaming help on Wednesday.
