Fri Nov 15 201319:55O's interested in re-signing Nate McLouth
Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Orioles remain interested in re-signing Nate McLouth, and have spoken with his representatives in recent days.
The 32-year-old outfielder earned $2 million on a one-year deal in 2013, and is seeking a multi-year contract this winter. McLouth is coming off a rebound season where he slashed .258/.329/.399 with 12 homers, 36 RBI and 30 steals. Whether back in Baltimore or elsewhere, he should be able to land a two-year pact as the strong side of an outfield platoon.

McLouth indicated that his knee was a little sore, but that he believed he could return to the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against the Red Sox in Boston. Fantasy owners may want to have a backup option available though, just in case the O's decide to give him a few extra days to rest.

Nate McLouth left Sunday's game against the Blue Jays after being hit on the right knee by a pitch.
He'll probably undergo X-rays to see if he has something worse than a bruise. More should be known about McLouth's status after the game.

McLouth took closer Chris Perez deep with no outs in the ninth before Perez rebounded to retire the next three hitters. The outfielder also had a single earlier in the game. While he's predictably cooled after a red-hot start, McLouth still sports a decent .269/.339/.414 batting line with 11 homers and 29 steals.

It was his first home run since June 30. McLouth is now hitting .358 (19-for-53) over his last 13 games. Oddly, while the 31-year-old had 24 stolen bases through his first 62 games this season, he's just 1-for-3 in stolen base attempts over his last 36 games.

One inning later, he put the Orioles ahead for good with a solo homer. While McLouth, with 24, is seven steals behind Jacoby Ellsbury for the AL lead, he has eight more than anyone else in the circuit.

Wed Jun 5 201300:19McLouth steals 21st base, Orioles top Astros
Nate McLouth went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, his 20th and 21st of the year, as the Orioles beat the Astros on Tuesday.
McLouth is now tied with Jacoby Ellsbury for the American League lead in stolen bases at 21, and he's only been caught one time on the year. His high for a season is 23 in 2008 with the Pirates, but he's almost certainly going to top that number this season. Oh, and he's also hitting a tidy .296/.370/.429 on the year to boot.

Sun May 26 201304:44McLouth goes 2-for-4 with a walk in victory
Nate McLouth went 2-for-4 with a walk in Saturday's victory against the Blue Jays.
The 32-year-old is thriving atop Baltimore's potent lineup, posting a .285/.365/.437 slash line and leading the American League with 15 steals. He's also sixth with 34 runs scored. Between 2010-2012, McLouth often looked dead in the water, batting an anemic .221/.320/.346 line over 255 games. McLouth hasn't played this well since 2008, when he was a 26-year-old All-Star for the Pirates.

Fri May 3 201318:47McLouth absent from Orioles lineup Friday
Nate McLouth is not in the Orioles starting lineup on Friday, receiving a routine day off against left-hander Jason Vargas.
The 31-year-old outfielder has been on an absolute tear to begin the season, hitting .333/.431/.517 with three homers, 10 RBI and eight stolen bases. While he can't maintain this pace all season, the O's should be doing everything they can to get him in the lineup while he's hot. He needs to be started in all fantasy formats at this point.

Nate McLouth went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer in Thursday's win over the Angels.
McLouth owes an assist to Mike Trout, who had the ball deflect off his glove and over the center field fence. The 31-year-old is now hitting .333/.431/.517 with three home runs, seven doubles, 10 RBI, eight stolen bases and 23 runs scored in 25 games this season. Who knows how long it will last, but he should be owned in all fantasy formats.

Fri Apr 26 201302:22McLouth has two hits, two RBI in win
Nate McLouth went 2-for-5 with two RBI, two stolen bases, two runs scored and a walk in Thursday's win over the Athletics.
Not a bad way to fill up the box score. McLouth sparked a three-run third inning with an RBI single and later drove in a run on a fielder's choice in the sixth inning. Some dismissed him as a small sample size success story last season, but the 31-year-old is hitting .302 (19-for-63) in 19 games and is currently tied with Coco Crisp for second in the majors with seven stolen bases. He should be owned in deeper mixed leagues.

Tue Apr 16 201316:16McLouth batting leadoff again Tuesday
Nate McLouth will bat leadoff Tuesday for the third straight game.
Markakis has made three starts out of the leadoff spot this season, but Orioles manager Buck Showalter has seemingly settled on him as his primary No. 3 hitter. McLouth is hitting .263/.349/.342 with three doubles, one RBI, two stolen bases and six runs scored in 10 games this season and might be able to carve out some value in deeper mixed leagues.

Sat Mar 30 201316:19Nate McLouth homers twice in Orioles' win
Nate McLouth hit a pair of homers Saturday to lead the Mets to a 7-1 win over the Orioles.
We were hoping Nolan Reimold would overtake McLouth as the Orioles' primary left fielder, but with Wilson Betemit down, there's room for both in the lineup. McLouth ends the spring with a .320 average, four homers and three steals in 50 at-bats. We're not especially optimistic, but maybe he'll surprise again.
