Mon Mar 3 201416:13Marc Krauss homers in Astros' victory
Marc Krauss went 2-for-4 with a homer in the Astros' 4-0 shutout of the Marlins on Monday.
The 26-year-old Krauss is 5-for-9 this spring as he competes for playing time at first base and in the outfield. He didn't really impress in the majors last season, hitting .209/.267/.366 with 45 strikeouts in 134 at-bats, but the Astros seem to like him, and he might well be in the lineup somewhere on Opening Day.

Sun Sep 15 201318:37Krauss corks solo homer in loss to the Angels
Marc Krauss' solo homer amounted to all of Houston's offense in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Angels.
The blast to right field in the second inning off Jerome Williams tied the game at 1-1, but Houston's bats went quiet after that. Krauss doesn't play enough to warrant fantasy attention outside of deeper AL-only formats. The 25-year-old had a nice season at Triple-A but is slashing only .200/.241/.362 with four homers and 13 RBI over 42 games in the majors.

Fri Jul 26 201322:51Krauss homers, drives in four runs in loss
Mark Krauss went 2-for-4 with a home run and a career-high four RBI against the Blue Jays on Friday.
Krauss entered Friday's action with just four RBI over his first 40 major league at-bats, but he took R.A. Dickey deep for a two-run homer in the top of the second inning and later delivered a two-run double in the fourth. The 25-year-old doesn't have a significant role with the Astros, but he could play himself into increased playing time with more nights like this one.
