Stubbs went 2-for-4 with a double, stolen base and three runs scored in Tuesday's 12-7 loss to the Giants.
The performance was quite the breakthrough for Stubbs, who with the three runs and the stolen base, matched his outputs in both categories from the last six games combined. He'll likely continue to hold down a starting job through at least next week, when Michael Cuddyer's expected return from the DL will bump him back to fourth-outfielder duties.
Sun Aug 31 201414:36Stubbs out of lineup Sunday against Diamondbacks
Stubbs is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks.
Stubbs will sit Sunday after a 0-for-4, two-strikeout night at the plate Saturday. Brndon Barnes gets the start in right field Saturday and will bat sixth for the Rockies.
Thu Aug 28 201414:11Stubbs out of lineup Thursday against Giants
Stubbs is out of the lineup Thursday against the Giants.
Michael Cuddyer's placement on the DL last weekend with a hamstring issue has thrust Stubbs back into a regular role, but manager Walt Weiss will likely continue to get him occasional rests against right-handed starters. Charlie Blackmon will return to center field Thursday with Brandon Barnes in left. Stubbs is batting .304/.355/.471 with three homers and five steals since the All-Star break.

Stubbs should continue to receive regular playing time following Michael Cuddyer's hamstring placement on the 15-day DL on Sunday.
Activated from the DL on Aug. 16, Cuddyer lasted just over a week before he was felled by another injury. As a result, fantasy owners who held on to Stubbs after Cuddyer's activation will be rewarded, as the outfielder continued his excellent season with three hits, an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Marlins. As is the case with many Rockies hitters, Stubbs' numbers get a massive bump at Coors Field, so he may not be the best option in deeper leagues this week with Colorado set to play seven games on the road.

Stubbs clubbed his 13th home run of the year, while going 3-for-4 at the plate with a walk and adding a double, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's game against the Royals
Stubbs continues to fly under the radar with 13 home runs, 15 stolen bases and a .300/.343/.508 slash line in 303 at-bats. With the injuries the Rockies have endured, Stubbs may see an increase in playing time if he keeps this up.
Mon Aug 18 201414:08Stubbs 3-6 with stolen base and game-winning three-run homer in ...
Stubbs went 3-for-6 with a stolen base and the game-winning three-run homer in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader with the Reds. He also recorded an RBI pinch-hit single in the nightcap.
The home run and stolen base were Stubbs' 12th and 15th of the season, respectively, marking the fifth straight season he's had at least 10-plus homers and 15-plus steals. As expected, he's been a huge beneficiary of calling Coors Field his home park, as he's batting .358 with 10 of his long balls coming in Denver, compared to a .221 average and two homers on the road. His strong home numbers alone will continue to make Stubbs worthy of a roster spot in most mixed leagues, but the return of Michael Cuddyer (shoulder) from the DL over the weekend could start squeezing him out of the lineup more frequently.

Stubbs went 0-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the Padres.
Stubbs' issues with contact have become more problematic recently, as the outfielder has failed to record a hit in his last 16 at-bats, whiffing eight times. His batting average stands to fall further from its current .289 perch, particularly when the Rockies are away from Coors Field, but his ability to pop the occasional home run and steal bases still make Stubbs worthy of holding in most formats.

Stubbs went 3-for-4 with a double, triple and two RBI in Saturday's loss to the Tigers.
Stubbs looked like he would settle back into a more regular bench role earlier this week when Carlos Gonzalez returned to full health, but the oft-injured outfielder soon succumbed to a recurrence of his knee issue, re-opening the spot in the lineup. Because of his ability to steal bases and hit for power, Stubbs warrants a look in just about any fantasy format when he's guaranteed a steady run of at-bats.

Stubbs (foot) returned to the lineup Wednesday night and went 1-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored, a stolen base and two strikeouts.
A foot injury knocked Stubbs out of last Saturday's game against the Pirates and cost him three starts, but evidently it's no longer an issue as he was able to swipe his 12th base of the season in Wednesday's victory over the Cubs. Stubbs will likely continue to start primarily against lefties, unless Carlos Gonzalez (knee, ankle) or another Rockies outfielder ends up on the DL.

Stubbs made a pinch-hit appearance and stayed in the game in center Tuesday against the Cubs, going 0-for-1 with a walk.
With Tuesday's game going 16 innings, the Rockies needed all the bodies they could afford. Although he sat out the last two games with a foot injury, it appears Stubbs should be fine going forward given that he played the field Tuesday.
Thu Jul 24 201415:27Mariners have asked Rockies about OF Stubbs
According to FOX Sports' Jon Morosi, the Mariners have asked the Rockies about Drew Stubbs.
But Morosi says the Rockies are unsure whether they're going to move the 29-year-old outfielder, who has a career-best .833 OPS with 10 home runs and 11 stolen bases in 82 games this season. Much of that production can be credited to Coors Field, and Colorado would be wise to sell high on the .245/.313/.392 career hitter. But the Rockies front office has always operated in mysterious ways.

Sat Jul 12 201400:59Stubbs hits two-run homer vs. Twins
Drew Stubbs launched a two-run homer Friday against the Twins.
It was his 10th home run of the season. Four of them have come in his last six games. His playing time is going to take a hit now that Carlos Gonzalez is back from the disabled list, but he still figures to get regular at-bats against left-handed starters at the very least.

Sat Jul 5 201419:51Stubbs homers, steals base in win over LAD
Drew Stubbs finished 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in Saturday's 8-7 win over the Dodgers.
Stubbs also stole his 10th base of the season. He's been getting regular playing time with Carlos Gonzalez and Michael Cuddyer both on the disabled list, and is worth owning in some deeper mixed fantasy formats until Gonzalez (finger) makes it back. Stubbs has an .807 OPS on the season.

Sat Jul 5 201400:15Stubbs fading with regular playing time
Drew Stubbs went 0-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout in Friday's loss to the Dodgers.
Stubbs has received regular playing time in the Rockies' outfield with Carlos Gonzalez and Michael Cuddyer both sidelined, but his production has predictably dropped off in the process. He's hitting .258 with three homers, three steals, and a 32/6 K/BB ratio in 29 games over the past month. Look for him to move back into a part-time role once Gonzalez returns from the DL.

Sun Jun 22 201421:36Stubbs has RBI triple, stolen base on Sunday
Drew Stubbs went 2-for-5 with an RBI triple and a stolen base against the Brewers on Sunday.
Stubbs also scored a run in the game. The triple was his second of the year, while the stolen base was his ninth in nine attempts. There'll soon be a logjam of capable outfielders in Colorado, but Stubbs and his .293/.324/.451 line may force the issue.

Sat Jun 7 201400:42Drew Stubbs hits fourth home run
Drew Stubbs was 2-for-4 with a solo homer Friday against the Dodgers.
Stubbs is getting most of his at-bats against left-handed pitching, but he continues to deliver when given the opportunity. The 29-year-old outfielder is batting .325/.363/.500 with four home runs, 13 RBI, and seven stolen bases over 125 plate appearances. He has a lot of appeal in daily leagues, especially when the Rockies are at home.

Tue May 27 201415:43Stubbs hitting leadoff Tuesday vs. Phils
Drew Stubbs will hit leadoff Tuesday against the Phillies.
Charlie Blackmon will take a seat against left-hander Cole Hamels. Stubbs has performed well when in the lineup recently and makes for a solid play in daily fantasy leagues.

Sat May 17 201400:07Drew Stubbs swipes two bases in victory
Drew Stubbs went 2-for-4 and swiped a pair of bases, leading the Rockies to a 3-1 victory over the Padres on Friday.
Stubbs has begun to see increased playing time in the Rockies outfield, and is now hitting .305/.344/.488 with three homers, eight RBI and four stolen bases on the season. As long as he continues to see at-bats, especially at Coors Field, his power and speed combination make him a must own in all mixed leagues.

Tue May 6 201400:24Drew Stubbs goes 3-for-4 against Rangers
Drew Stubbs went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored against the Rangers on Monday.
After a poor April, Stubbs has reached base six times in his last two starts. It's not going to earn him any playing time against righties, but it will keep him in the lineup versus lefties for the foreseeable future.

Sun Apr 27 201400:57Drew Stubbs goes 0-for-4 in loss
Drew Stubbs went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts as the Rockies' center fielder on Saturday.
The Rockies might be getting to the point at which it'd make sense to use Charlie Blackmon as an everyday center fielder rather than continue to sit him against lefties. Stubbs hasn't done much to justify his presence with a .238 average, one extra-base hit and 13/3 K/BB ratio in 42 at-bats.
