Hutchison allowed one run on three hits and a walk in 6.2 innings Sunday with five strikeouts in a win against the Yankees to improve to 12-2.
Hutchison has a stark home/road split this season. Away from Toronto, he has a 9.00 ERA with a 1.76 HR/9 and a .372 BAA. At home, he has a 2.57 ERA with a 0.56 HR/9 and a .226 BAA. His only blemish Sunday came on a solo home run. Only one other runner made it as far as second base.

Hutchison (11-2) earned the win Tuesday over Oakland, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six over seven innings.
Hutchison allowed fewer than one baserunner per inning for the first time since June 17. His record is amazing, since he has a 5.26 ERA and 1.48 WHIP, but with the Toronto offense behind him, he's a candidate to win anytime he takes the mound. He'll make his next start Sunday against the Yankees.

Hutchison (10-2) gave up seven runs -- three earned -- on seven hits and two walks while striking out five in five innings Wednesday against the Twins.
Hutchison has allowed an AL-high 81 runs and hasn't reached the seventh inning since June 6 against Houston. Despite a 5.42 ERA, he picked up his 10th win of the season. He's been kind of lucky though, as he receives more than eight runs of support per game.

Hutchison didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 7-6 win over the Royals after giving up four runs (three earned) over five innings.
Touted by many heading into the season as a potential breakout candidate after ranking among the league leaders in strikeout rate during the second half of 2014, Hutchison has delivered nothing but headaches to fantasy owners. His 9-2 record belies what has been a highly inconsistent performance, and one that shows no obvious signs of improvement to come. Hutchison hasn't recorded a quality start since June 6 and has seen his ERA climb from 4.91 to 5.42 during that time.

Hutchison struggled Saturday in his return to the mound from a bout of the flu, coughing up six runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out four.
Fortunately for Hutchison, Toronto's offense was doing even more damage to Mariners pitching and he was able to escape with a no-decision. Despite a bloated 5.42 ERA Hutchison's rotation spot doesn't seem to be in jeopardy, and his next start will come at home Friday against the Royals.

Hutchison (illness) has been confirmed as Saturday's starter against Seattle.
A case of the flu pushed Hutchison's scheduled start back two days, but he'll be on the mound for Saturday's game against the Mariners. In his last start, Hutchison snapped a streak of six straight outings without a quality start as he allowed two earned runs over six innings of work to notch his ninth win of the season.

Hutchison (illness) will start Saturday against the Mariners, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Manager John Gibbons said Hutchison took a turn for the worse Friday, resulting in his scratch from the series opener against Seattle. The skipper seems confident that Hutchison will be fine to toe the rubber Saturday, but it would be wise to confirm his presence on the lineup card before deploying him.

Hutchison (illness) has been scratched from Friday's start against the Mariners.
An illness forced Hutchison's scheduled start on Thursday to be pushed back to Friday, but it seems he's still not feeling well enough to take the mound for the series opener against the Mariners. Marco Estrada will take Hutchison's spot Friday with Hutchison likely taking the mound Saturday if the flu-like symptoms subside.

Hutchison is questionable for Thursday's start due to flu-like symptoms, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
Hutchison registered his first quality start since early June in his last outing, allowing two earned runs over six innings on Friday. Given that the Blue Jays had an off-day at the beginning of the week, R.A Dickey could pitch on regular rest Thursday if Hutchison is unable to take the mound.

Hutchison turned in a solid performance, allowing two runs on five hits, walking two and striking out three over six innings of a 6-2 win against Tampa Bay on Friday night.
Hutchison (9-2, 5.19 ERA) has suffered through a disappointing season in every category except wins, as the Toronto offense typically gives a chance to notch a win any time he can make it through five innings. This was an encouraging outing, albeit not especially efficient as he needed 85 pitches (just 57 for strikes), but he will hope to build on this one as he looks to improve over the second half.

Hutchison pitched five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out six and walking two Wednesday against the White Sox.
Hutchison, who has received the most run support in baseball, left the game with a 6-4 lead but failed to get his ninth victory as the Blue Jay relievers failed to hold on to the lead. For the season, Hutchison has an 8-2 record despite a 5.33 ERA and 1.49 WHIP.

Hutchison allowed seven runs (five earned) on 10 hits, walking two and striking out four while lasting just 4.2 innings in an 8-6 loss to Detroit on Friday night.
Hutchison (8-2, 5.23 ERA) had yet another rough outing against a potent Tigers' lineup. The eight wins look good, but the 5.23 ERA is more indicative of the way his season has been going. The Blue Jays' bats are capable of overcoming a lot - in fact they nearly got Hutchison off the hook in this one after falling behind 8-0 - but he is going to have to start fooling hitters if he is going to be a viable option in most fantasy leagues.

Hutchison was charged with one unearned run in 5.2 innings Sunday, striking out eight while walking three batters in a 3-2 win over the Rangers.
The right-hander shut down the Rangers' lineup throughout the contest, allowing just four hits (all singles) before being removed with two outs and the bases loaded in the sixth. All eight of his strikeouts came via swinging strikes. With the win, Hutchison is now 6-1 with a 2.12 ERA at home this season. He will look to start chipping away at his 8.92 road ERA against the Tigers his next time out.

Hutchison won and moved to 7-1 Monday against Tampa Bay despite allowing three runs on nine hits over five innings.
Hutchison struck out six and walked two and was getting singled to death, as he gave up only one extra-base hit, a Jake Elmore double. Hutchison is getting absurd run support from the Blue Jays this season, as his club was scoring a league-leading 7.5 runs per game behind him before scoring another eight in Monday's win. No qualified starter had more than 5.8 runs per game behind him in 2014, and although the Blue Jays lineup is on fire lately, even they are scoring two fewer runs per game on average. Hutchison has a 5.33 ERA and has been mediocre despite his great record.

Hutchison improved to 6-1 with 5.2 shutout innings Wednesday against the Mets, striking out five while allowing just four hits and a walk.
After an eight-run disaster in Boston his last time out, this outing feels like solid gold for Hutchison's embattled fantasy owners. The 24-year-old righty has legitimate strikeout ability and solid control, but he's a flyball pitcher in a ballpark that doesn't play well to his pitching style. He draws a weak Tampa offense Monday, but the Rays have hit him well historically, so tread with caution.
