Thu Nov 10 202215:27Kristaps Porzingis Carrying A Questionable Tag
Washington Wizards forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (groin) is questionable for Thursday's home game against Dallas. He's on the injury report with a left groin strain, and missing a meeting with his former team would obviously be a blow for the big guy. Porzingis has been very injury prone throughout his career, but he hasn't yet missed any action this season, sitting second in scoring on the team with 19.2 points per game and leading the squad with 8.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. Daniel Gafford's fantasy stock would receive a major boost if Porzingis is forced to sit, especially with Taj Gibson (neck) also questionable for the game. Rui Hachimura should get a bigger role as well.

Fri Oct 14 202212:19Kristaps Porzingis Won't Play Preseason Finale
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) will not play in the team's final preseason game. This absence comes as more of a precautionary move rather than something that will keep him out for long. He said the plan is still for him to be available for the season's first game. With the injury history that Porzingis has, being cautious is the best way to go. In his 17 games with the team last year, he averaged 22.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.5 blocks per game. While the injuries are a considerable risk, he's still going to be a sought-after center in every fantasy format.

Mon Oct 10 202221:19Kristaps Porzingis Tweaks Ankle On Monday
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) wasn't able to finish Monday's preseason contest against the Charlotte Hornets. The big man tweaked his ankle early in the third quarter and didn't return to the contest. The Wizards were likely just being cautious and didn't want to risk his health in a meaningless game. Porzingis was fantastic in the first half with 20 points, three triples and three rebounds across 16 minutes. Although, fantasy managers selecting Porzingis in fantasy drafts should know there is always a high risk of injury.

Fri Apr 8 202215:18Kristaps Porzingis, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Out Friday
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) and shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (rest) have been deemed unavailable for Friday's contest vs. the Knicks. Porzingis' absence comes on the heels of a dominant 26-point, 18-rebound outing Wednesday, paving the way for Daniel Gafford and Thomas Bryant to take on increased roles in the frontcourt. Caldwell-Pope's absence on the wing figures to open up offensive opportunities for Deni Avdija and Corey Kispert. The final chance that Porzingis and Caldwell-Pope have to take the floor in 2021-22 comes Sunday against Charlotte.

Thu Mar 31 202209:54Kristaps Porzingis Scores 35 Points Against Magic
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis came through with a strong performance in the team's 127-110 win over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. He scored a game-high 35 points and racked up eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks. He hit three three-pointers and shot 11-for-18 from the field and 10-for-13 from the free throw line. Porzingis's 35 points are the most he's scored as a member of the Wizards so far. Over 13 games in a Wizards jersey, he's averaging 21.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.4 three-pointers per game. His next game will be a revenge game against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.

Sat Mar 12 202210:15Kristaps Porzingis Will Sit Versus Blazers
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (rest) won't suit up for Saturday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. This doesn't come as a surprise as the Wizards are expected to hold out Porzingis during back-to-back sets. On Friday, Porzingis finished with 14 points, 14 rebounds, and two assists in 25 minutes. He was 3-of-13 from the floor, but hopefully he is just shaking off the rust. Rui Hachimura should see a solid boost in playing time without Porzingis available. Daniel Gafford and Kyle Kuzma should benefit as well on Saturday.

Wed Mar 9 202214:42Kristaps Porzingis Will Play On Friday
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) will play in Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Although, Porzingis will sit out during Saturday's contest. This isn't shocking news considering Porzingis has been sidelined over a month. Fantasy managers should expect the Wizards to continue being cautious with Porzingis going forward. His fantasy value is going to be limited down the stretch and it's uncertain how much Porzingis will play on Friday. His return to the court will drop the value of both Daniel Gafford and Thomas Bryant.

Sun Mar 6 202217:32Kristaps Porzingis To Make Wizards Debut
Washington Wizards forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) will make his team debut on Sunday against Indiana. The veteran has yet to play for his new club since being acquired from the Dallas Mavericks ahead of the trade deadline. Nevertheless, at full strength, Porzingis would substantially lessen the collective ceilings of Daniel Gafford and Thomas Bryant. However, he will be on a minutes' restriction versus the Pacers, although he could still see the floor enough to immediately impact Gafford and Bryant's statistical output.

Mon Feb 28 202217:46Kristaps Porzingis Ruled Out For Tuesday's Contest
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) has officially been ruled out for Tuesday night's game against the Detroit Pistons. Porzingis has been sidelined since late January due to a bone bruise in his right knee. He has yet to debut in a Wizards uniform. Daniel Gafford will likely continue holding down the starting center role for now with Thomas Bryant backing him up. Gafford has been making the most of his increased minutes since the All-Star break. Over his last two games, he's averaged 15.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 83.3% from the field.

Mon Feb 28 202214:12Kristaps Porzingis Not Expected To Play Tuesday
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) is not expected to make his debut with the Wizards during Tuesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. According to Chase Hughes of NBC Sports, the former Knick and Maverick was limited in 1-on-1 work during Monday's practice and Wizards coach Wes Unseld Jr. doesn't believe he'll be ready to take to the court on Tuesday. While Porzingis remains sidelined, Daniel Gafford should remain the team's primary center with help from Thomas Bryant off the bench.

Sat Feb 26 202215:26Kristaps Porzingis Will Miss Saturday's Game
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has not made his team debut and it doesn't sound like he's going to anytime soon. Porzingis continues to be listed as day-to-day, but it's uncertain when he'll actually return. In the meantime, Daniel Gafford and Thomas Bryant will split up the center role in Washington. Gafford has higher upside than Bryant and is worth looking at in fantasy formats until Porzingis gets on the court.

Thu Feb 24 202218:52Kristaps Porzingis Will Miss Friday’s Outing
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's contest against San Antonio as he works his way back from a bone bruise in his right knee. Porzingis has continued to make progress throughout practice, with a return seemingly on the horizon. When healthy, Porzingis is an impactful fantasy asset, having averaged 19.2 points, 7.7 boards, and 1.7 blocks per contest across 34 outings with Dallas this year. He would figure to carry an even larger offensive role with Washington when healthy, although he will likely face something of a minutes cap upon being cleared. His next chance to play comes Saturday vs. the Cavaliers.

Thu Feb 24 202215:04Kristaps Porzingis Remains Day-To-Day
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) appears to be making progress, but remains listed as day-to-day. Head coach Wes Unseld Jr. mentioned that Porzingis was able to do more during Thursday's practice. Although, Porzingis hasn't done 3-on-3 drills and it doesn't sound like he'll play in Friday's game. The All-Star center has seemingly been banged up all season long, so who knows when he'll actually get on the court. Until then, Daniel Gafford and Thomas Bryant should split up a majority of the center minutes in Washington.

Thu Feb 17 202218:21Washington Anticipates Kristaps Porzingis Will Return Next Week
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) is expected to make his team debut next Friday in Washington's second-half opener against San Antonio, per head coach Wes Unseld Jr. Unseld did leave open the possibility that Porzingis may not be cleared in time from the bone bruise on his knee that has sidelined him for the past 10 contests, but the former All-Star will have another week to continue healing up. When healthy, Porzingis has displayed his skill set with aplomb this season, averaging 19.2 points, 7.7 boards, and 1.7 blocks despite playing fewer than 30 minutes per game. His return would be a blow to the fantasy stock of Thomas Bryant and other Washington frontcourt members, so fantasy managers will want to continue monitoring Porzingis' status.

Tue Feb 15 202218:07Kristaps Porzingis To Remain Out On Wednesday
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. The seven-footer has yet to make his debut with his new team. The team has stated that Porzingis has a chance to return to the court before the All-Star break. After Wednesday's game, the Wizards just have one more game against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday before going into the break. Since Porzingis was ruled out a full day ahead of Wednesday's game, it seems likely that the Wizards will just let him sit through the break. Rui Hachimura and Thomas Bryant will continue to man the center spot while Porzingis is out.

Sat Feb 12 202215:04Kristaps Porzingis Won't Make Debut On Saturday
Washington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis won't make his team debut against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday. It doesn't sound like his physical has been completed yet. It's also worth noting Porzingis has been dealing with a bone bruise, so possibly the Wizards play it safe right away. Daniel Gafford remains sidelined as well due to COVID-19 protocols. That means, Thomas Bryant is going to see heavy minutes since he's basically the only center on the roster. His fantasy value should be reliable until Porzingis or Gafford return to the court.

Thu Feb 10 202214:43Kristaps Porzingis Heads To Wizards At Trade Deadline
Dallas Mavericks power forward Kristaps Porzingis has reportedly been dealt to the Washington Wizards just prior to the trade deadline on Thursday, with Dallas getting point guard Spencer Dinwiddie and power forward Davis Bertans back in return. Porzingis has once again been scuttled by injuries in 2021-22, having played in just 34 of Dallas' first 55 outings. He has averaged 19.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game, but his 29.5 minutes on a nightly basis is set for his lowest mark since his rookie year. When healthy, he should be one of Washington's primary offensive focal points during the second half with Bradley Beal (wrist) done for the season.

Sat Feb 5 202218:34Kristaps Porzingis Will Miss Fourth Straight Game Sunday
Dallas Mavericks power forward Kristaps Porzingis (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Atlanta as he continues to battle a bone bruise on his right knee. Injuries have resulted in a start-stop season for Porzingis, who has shot a career-low 28.3% from behind the arc. At 19.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per outing, Porzingis remains a tantalizing season-long asset when available, although when he will return to action is less clear. Dorian Finney-Smith and Reggie Bullock will continue to see elevated usage while he is sidelined, while Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson will remain Dallas' offensive focal points.

Thu Feb 3 202215:24Kristaps Porzingis Will Not Play On Friday
Dallas Mavericks power forward Kristaps Porzingis (knee) will not play in Friday's game against the 76ers. The 26-year-old will be forced to miss his third consecutive game as a result of a right knee contusion. Porzingis will be joined on the sidelines by teammates Tim Hardaway Jr. (foot surgery) and Sterling Brown (foot soreness). While Porzingis is out of the lineup, forward/center Dwight Powell has been placed in the starting lineup and the Canadian big man is worth streaming in deeper fantasy formats.

Tue Feb 1 202215:10Kristaps Porzingis Remains Sidelined For Wednesday’s Game
Dallas Mavericks power forward Kristaps Porzingis (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's contest against Oklahoma City due to a bone bruise in his right knee. Dwight Powell slid into the starting five for Porzingis on Sunday, although his minutes total and production stayed relatively steady. Without Porzingis active, Luka Doncic can be seen as having an even higher DFS ceiling and Jalen Brunson and Dorian Finney-Smith will carry added offensive upside. The next chance for the former All-Star to suit up comes Friday vs. the 76ers.
