LHP Chasen Shreve was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Sunday to give the Yankees a second left-handed reliever. Shreve is 3-1 with a 2.77 ERA in 29 appearances this season, after posting a 5.18 ERA last season and struggling immensely in the final month of 2015.

LHP Chasen Shreve was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday as the team made room for the newly acquired Todd Frazier, David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle. Shreve was 3-1 with a 2.77 ERA in 29 games for New York this season after picking up the victory on Tuesday night. Shreve was likely unavailable for a few days after pitching 1 1/3 scoreless innings.

LHP Chasen Shreve was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre, marking the second straight day the Yankees made a pitching move for their bullpen.
