RHP Ryan Tepera saw his 13-game streak of recording at least one strikeout come to an end on Sunday. Tepera retired all four Detroit batters he faced on three groundouts and a flyout. Tepera was struck in the leg by a line drive off the bat of Miguel Cabrera but stayed in to retire the next two batters. He had 16 strikeouts in 12 2/3 innings during the streak. Tepera has now appeared in 40 games, second on the team to Aaron Loup's 41 outings.
